I created a windows shortcut to open a program.  This program has been upgraded to the next version (which included a complete uninstall of the previous version).  Now I can not use assign these same keys for the new program because they are alreeady in use and when I try to use that nothing happens.  How can I reset these keys so I can use them with the new version?

When you updated the application obviously features and architecture will change
You use Windows 7 or Windows 8?

1. go in Panel of-> language-> avancΘs
2. set up your language bar access keys as you want
3. click on «Apply the language settings to home screen...» »

4. click on copy settings, and then select the Welcome screen

OR

If Windows is controlling the keyboard settings, then open the keyboard
icon in the control panel. Click on the tab settings in the key.
Click on the restore default button, apply, OK.

IF the keyboard is managed through 3rd party software, then you will need to
Open the software to reset the keyboard.

OR, as a last resort, use system restore to restore the system to the
time just before you change the action of the prnt scrn. However, if
updates have been applied after this restore point is used, so you
to submit a new application.

    When a critical security patch update, update, update rollup, driver or a feature pack installs GDR version files, the hotfix files are also copied to the folder % windir%\$hf_mig$. This supports migration to the appropriate files if you install a hotfix or a service pack that includes earlier versions of these files later.

    I have windows xp sp3 home edition on a viao older sony with only 2 GB of memory on drive c to begin with, my current c drive has about 1% of free space

    memory. I've deleted or moved all non essenital programs on my d drive, is all that's left on my c drive program files updates and windows.

    Not sure what a "hot" prosser is. What's the correct spelling? As the performance of your system are reduced, it is possible, that you have been infected.
