    Hi Steven,

You can consult this article to uninstall Adobe and check if that helps.

Uninstall or change a program: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/uninstall-change-program#uninstall-change-program=windows-7

Alternatively, you can also use this Microsoft fixit to uninstall Adobe. Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the computer.

  • How to disable windows install box pop-up?

I tried to update my old professional windows of office 2003 with a new program of release for consumption of office 2010 windows for teachers. For some reason, I kept getting the message that couldn't be improved until I deleted the old windows desktop programs. I tried to do, but some of them would not uninstall then I got frustrated and gave up. I used system restore to go back to the way my system has been configured before I tried to remove the office 2003 programs. Now regardless of the program or an application I try to use windows pop up box appears and intereferes with start of program and demand. I do not have to install anything. After the system restore, I checked and everything I had previously uninstalled seems to be back now. Whis is happening?  Does anyone know how to prevent installation pop box appearing whenever I try to use a program? I would really appreciate anybodys help on this one. Thank you all.

    Hello Airforce1974,

You probably see the effects of a partial uninstall of office 2003. I did some checking and found that you can download and install the "office 2003 edition resource kit" (ork.exe) from the link below. "" It contains the "Remove Office Assistant"

Note: I suggest that you first try to locate the office Removal Wizard to see if it is already installed (not deleted)

    http://Office.Microsoft.com/en-us/Office-2003-Resource-Kit/Office-Removal-Wizard-HA001140177.aspx

To find the tool, click the Start button, point to programs, point to MiMicrosoft Office, point to Microsoft Office Tools, point to Microsoft Office Resource Kitand then click Removal Assistant.

    ORK. EXE

Click on the link below for the tools included in the "office 2003 edition resource kit"

  • Someone at - he finds the solution for windows installer keep popping up?

This has nothing to do with any application.  Error 1706.  Help!

    Hello

    1. have you made software changes recently?

    Method 1.
It seems that there is a background app that launches the installer of Windows. We can perform a boot minimum troubleshooting to find the same thing. You need to perform a clean boot to find the program that is causing and then disable or remove.

Note: When you are finished troubleshooting, follow the steps as explained in the article to reset the computer to start as usual.

    Method 2.
Also, I recommend reregister you the Installer engine.
    Here's how:

  • Cannot get rid of Symantec Anti-virus. - a windows installer window keeps popping up referring to Symantec after uninstalling symantec.

I have problems wiping out anti-virus from Symantec. I deleted everything that I could find has nothing to do with it, so I thought, but a windows window installation keeps popping up referring to Symantec, prompts me to insert my disc (which I don't have) and then displays an error. It does this randomly. I installed something else and he said everything is ok. Is my problem in the temporary files or I'm not pushing the right buttons?

You're more likely to get the best advice if you include:

    • the exact application you are trying to uninstall, including version
    • the version of Windows you have, including the service pack
    • the full text of the error messages you see, without paraphrasing
    • what you have done so far, in addition to details "I deleted everything I could find.
  • Please can someone explain why the windows Installer keeps appearing when nothing is installed? Any way to stop this?

Why the Windows Installer keep popping up, either on a web page or an e-mail to the office when nothing is installed.  No way to stop that... ?

The desktop of your computer, click on the tab "Start", usually located at the bottom left of the screen (on Vista, it's maybe the windows symbol instead of the word 'Start').

Now, find and click on the program title 'run '. Vista users can locate this program by typing "run" in the area of research at the bottom of the menu 'start '.

Once you open 'Run', type 'MSCONFIG' in the empty box and click 'OK '. This will open the System Configuration utility.

With the open System Configuration utility, select the tab "Services".

Scroll down the list of services (it may be advantageous to click on the 'service' column to sort the services by alphabetical order) until you find the program "Windows Installer".

Now, click on the checkbox next to the name of the Windows Installer and click on the button 'Disable' at the bottom of the Configuration of the system.

  • Windows Installer appears every time that a new tab is open

Original title - Microsft Office 2010

After you have installed Office 2010 (I already had Office 2007), Windows Installer keeps popping up on my screen. When I cancel, another window opens saying "the component you are trying to use is on a CD-Rom or another removable disk that is not available. When I cancel I get error 1706 Set can not find the file require. You check the connection to the network or CD-Rom. When I cancel it, it starts with Windows Installer popping up. Finally, he leaves popping up but when I open a new window again. Windows 2010 works just fine. Windows Installer is the problem.

    Hi JoettaReed

    b. click Start, click run, type msiexec /Unregister in the Open box and then click OK.
    c. click Start, click run, type msiexec/regserver in the Open box and then click OK.

  • I have Windows xp, how to remove or delete a contextual area about the Windows Installer which appears unwsolicited when I open Internet Explorer

Boxc contextual of Windows Explorer is displayed when I open Internet Explorer... it does not cancel - runs a secondary Windows Installer box.   I have to go through the process to attempt to cancel the boxes about 3 times before finally disappears and allows me to use my browser.

    Hi LeonCollins,

    1. What is the full error message you get?

2 this only happens with Internet Explorer, or when opening other programs?

You can try these steps and see if it helps.

Method 1: Reregister the Installer engine.

    a. Click Start, click Run and then type cmd in the dialog box, and then click command prompt.

    b. at the command prompt, type the following and press ENTER after each line:

    MSIExec /Unregister

    MSIExec/regserver

Method 2: Check your version of Windows Installer and upgrade to the latest version if it is needed.

    a. Click Start, type cmd in the search box or click Run then type services.msc in the dialog box and then press ENTER to open a command prompt window.

    b. at the command prompt, type MSIExec and then press ENTER. If the MSI engine works, there should be no error message, and should open a separate dialog box. This shows the MSI version.

If the version of the installer is not version 4.5, see the following article in the Knowledge Base Microsoft for more information and a link to download Windows install 4.5:

942288 Windows Installer 4.5 is available

Try to install or to uninstall again.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Windows Installer message box keeps popping up

Get the windows installer message box stating that 'the component you are trying to use is on an unavailable network resource' when I click OK or cancel, another different with the installation package message box appears.  When I try to find the source of the user on the hard drive, I can not find the path.  Cannot install Windows Installer CleanUp because of these boxes.  He thinks that there are other facilities running and asks me to install these first.  Have SP2, run virus check, etc.  Help?

    Hello

When you say that you can not install Windows Installer CleanUp, I just need to clarify. You mean the latest version - Msicuu2.exe? The link here...

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/290301

If so, wow... interesting problem. You can even run the program because you have to many contradictory installers that he used to open them. I or someone of another HERE will tackle this problem if that's the case, but first - let us know if the latest tool Windows install cleanup has the same problem?

Too... before I give it a shot... Make sure you have all the disabled virus scanners because they can also interfere with Setup and cause problems.

    Hope this helps,
