Hi Steven,

You can consult this article to uninstall Adobe and check if that helps.

Uninstall or change a program: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/uninstall-change-program#uninstall-change-program=windows-7

Alternatively, you can also use this Microsoft fixit to uninstall Adobe. Once the uninstall is complete, reboot the computer.

This has nothing to do with any application.  Error 1706.  Help!

    Hello

    1. have you made software changes recently?

    Method 1.
It seems that there is a background app that launches the installer of Windows. We can perform a boot minimum troubleshooting to find the same thing. You need to perform a clean boot to find the program that is causing and then disable or remove.
How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310353/en-us
Note: When you are finished troubleshooting, follow the steps as explained in the article to reset the computer to start as usual.

    Method 2.
Also, I recommend reregister you the Installer engine.
    Here's how:
    a. Click Start, click Accessories and then click command prompt.
    b. at the command prompt, type the following and press ENTER after each line:

    MSIExec /Unregister

    MSIExec/regserver

  • Please can someone explain why the windows Installer keeps appearing when nothing is installed? Any way to stop this?

Why the Windows Installer keep popping up, either on a web page or an e-mail to the office when nothing is installed.  No way to stop that... ?

The desktop of your computer, click on the tab "Start", usually located at the bottom left of the screen (on Vista, it's maybe the windows symbol instead of the word 'Start').

Now, find and click on the program title 'run '. Vista users can locate this program by typing "run" in the area of research at the bottom of the menu 'start '.

Once you open 'Run', type 'MSCONFIG' in the empty box and click 'OK '. This will open the System Configuration utility.

With the open System Configuration utility, select the tab "Services".

Scroll down the list of services (it may be advantageous to click on the 'service' column to sort the services by alphabetical order) until you find the program "Windows Installer".

Now, click on the checkbox next to the name of the Windows Installer and click on the button 'Disable' at the bottom of the Configuration of the system.

    Hello
In my view, that it is a software HP printer problem. Please, try the following:

If you have the HP software on your PC support (printers, etc.)
the disc when the pop-up window displays a location '1'. Click Browse
then open the HP disc in the CD drive. A named icon status should
appear. Click on this icon and load. This will get rid of the
    Status.msi loop.

If you do not have the original disc. Uninstall HP Photosmart all-in-One Driver software and HP update program - then only reinstall the HP Photosmart all-in-One Driver software. Do not update, just live with it. The web link for the full features of the software download is provided below.

  • Windows help keeps popping up

Windows help keeps popping up in any programme of work to im. I work in MS WORD, it will pop up and when I open the Task Manager to check it out, it appears to help with the Task Manager, I see a few people have had the same problem before, is there a solution for this and for the record, my F1 key is not stuck...

You'd read the other thread of similar problem. This question is on a XP machine.
If you also have an XP, please do not take into account the following.
If you are using Vista, please read on...

This happens for some time or since the first day. If it's not too long, and if you remember a good date when you did not have this problem, do a system restore.
Choose this good as your restore point date (it is your list of points of restoration as far behind).

Start button > Search box, type system restore > press the Enter key > uac prompt > click on choose a different restore point > next > select dates as your restore point, until the click > next > finish
To sit and wait. The machine restarts when it's done.
