• Windows Media Center crashes when you try to play certain episodes recorded from various shows.

  Seems random.  At the opening of television recorded on WMC, am able to see a few episodes.  There are now two shows with an episode every which crash WMC as soon as the cursor is near him.  Other shows, episodes of play very well.  Cannot delete shows because it crashes before able to do anything, then it opens again.  Have WIndows 7.  It happened a few times in the last 6 months.  Error message is that WMC has stopped working and will restart.

  Disconnect all external devices from the computer and try to restart the computer and check what is happening.

   

  Step 1:

  Try to boot to the desktop in safe mode and check what is happening. Only basic files and drivers needed to run Windows are started.   Check if you can access your e-mail via webmail.  If it works fine and that you always have problems in WinMail, then delete your account e-mail, then compact and repair the database (www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/) and then add your account to e-mail back again.  Often, this solves these problems.

  You must set up your default email program to send on a Web site.  Go to control panel | Default programs and set your default e-mail program there.  If your e-mail program is web-based, then you probably can't use this feature (sends the Web site file), then you may need to copy the site, and then paste it into a new message and then send it.
