• windows 8.1 help cannot "send link by e-mail" on explore

  I had a Windows 7 and could "send link or page" email when on a Web page. It won't highlight on the 8.1 windows computer I have now. I used to use windows live mail but now switched to Thunderbird. I use internet explore browser. I don't know that it's just a setting that I can't find.

  I think you'd better ask Microsoft how people get their browsers to send a page. I just did with Internet explorer on Windows 7 without problem, even though I had a UAC prompt.

  Started getting an error on Windows Live Mail message when I try to send an email, saying that it cannot connect to my server which is Comcast.net.  I used a few days ago and it worked fine in the same place.  He still receives send without any problem.

• Windows Live Mail help - folders view

  I lost about 400 emails. I know that they are still in my system of e-mail somewhere when I'm looking for the e-mail address of the recipients, all messages (sent and received) that show the results. However, there is nothing to tell me exactly which folder are in.

  I've always used Outlook Express and in the main pane, you can select which columns to show and I've always had: to, of, Date, attachment, folder and that I could always tell folder in which was in the email.

  In Windows Live Mail, it has no option to add the 'File' column, so, how do I know where all these emails? All mails (about 400 of them) were stored in a main folder called '2009', who was then 12 subfolders. I cannot find this folder or one of its subfolders anywhere now, but all emails are in the system somewhere because they all show in search results.

  All help find a way to see the location real email would be appreciated.

  Hi, I have Windows several live accounts and it gives me problems.  I can't send or receive mail, the error message is.

  Can't send or receive messages on behalf of Maureens cakes. Windows Live Mail could not open a session secure e-mail server using password authentication. Contact your e-mail provider and verify that it supports secure password authentication. To change the connection setting, in the folder list, right-click on the account name, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu. In the Properties dialog box, click on the servers tab, and then under incoming mail server, select a logon option.

  Thanks for your help. I found the solution on the Comcast Xfinity support page. It was just a question of the evolution of port 25 to port 465.

  Apparently, they have sent messages to customers, but most of us have seen as SPAM and ignored.

  This may be due to having some settings incorrectly set for the account, check if all people.

  If you go to the BTs Web page for his email in your browser, can connect to your email it using the same user name and password? It will prove that BT always considers your name and password is the same as you think it is i.e. someones not hacked into and changed it.
