  In regard to not being not able to find a message after reading it in the filters.

  • Click on the account name in the folders pane, and then press Alt-S F to open the Show/Hide IMAP folders dialog. Click Reset list to refresh the list of files, and then use the buttons to display only the records you want. Note the exact names of the folders for drafts, sent messages, spam and deleted messages.
  • Right-click on the account name in the folders pane, and then select Properties. Tab IMAP, select store special on the IMAP, server files , and then enter the server names for special folders that you noted down earlier in the corresponding boxes.
  • When you view your list of messages, press Ctrl-Shift-O for Options. On the Advanced tab, select use the 'deleted items' folder for IMAP accounts.

As soon as I saw them, I clicked on 'work offline' in order to read and write the answer without using the 3 G for too long.  Since then, I have not been able to work online so I can't send or receive emails or open the 'old'. Also, my contacts have disappeared.

  You should have a new tab under tools at the bottom that says "import/export - tools".
  You can watch modules / Modules to see if
