Windows Live Mail Pro SpeedyPC

Whenever Pro SpeedyPC analysis and cleans, it clears my files from Windows Live Mail Inbox. Why is that happening and how can I protect my files from the Inbox?

Never use a registry cleaner and you will have problems.

  • How can I move mail and contacts from Outlook Express on a computer that is running XP Pro to Windows Live Mail on another computer in Windows 7?

Can someone please provide a solution step by step? Most of the messages and the links here seems to apply to a different situation, as OE6 and WLM residing on the SAME computer, or under the SAME operating system. Not so in my case.

I see that Windows Live Mail is supposed to be able to import contacts and emails OE6. But where am I supposed to put old OE6 files on the computer so that Windows Live Mail can find them? OE6 only let me "export" to Outlook or Microsoft Exchange, nor of what exists on my old computer, nor my other!

Transfer of data from Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail:

    For messages:

Copy the * ENTIRE * OE message store folder to a flash drive. (Folders.dbx must be included). Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail. Open WLMail and: file | Import | Messages | Microsoft Outlook Express 6, and the point where it was saved.

    Location of OE message store:

In OE: Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

    For addresses:

Open the address book in OE and file | Export | Address book (wab) and save it to the desktop. Copy it to a flash drive. Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail.

Open the Contacts list in WLMail, (go |) Contacts in the Menu bar) and the file | Import | Address book (wab) Windows and the point where you saved it.

Note: If you use a CD or a DVD instead of a flash drive, after placing on the new machine you must remove the read-only attribute in the properties before you import.

  • Windows Live Mail could not be started. 0 x 80041161. question of server 2008 in Vista (similar OS) forum

Can't solve this one.  8 user accounts on Server 2008 std 64 bit TS, using the Protocol of the DRC. Load Windows Live, composing Mail only for all users. Properly configured the e-mail accounts for all users except one.  On this account while trying to open the Live Mail, we get:

"Windows Live Mail could not be started.  It cannot be installed correctly. Make sure that your disk is not full or that you're not out of memory. 0 x 80041161."

All accounts connect via thin clients with user, no HD local licenses. How it is possible for a single user? How to remove all traces of this user's e-mail account and try again? 7 other user accounts were active mail.  A possible cause would be my use of a registry cleaner (perhaps not a good idea because it was not necessary for a specific reason).  Otherwise, nothing unusual, all other services Terminal Server and programs work.  Impossible to find a link to how to erase our all that is giving only this user account for Live Mail error message.  Tried to take Windows Live and not reinstalled, pass.  All users have standard access, raise that this user admin didn't change error.  Appreciate the ideas.

  • No Dropbox, no. send Windows Live Mail - ISA to blame?

    Hello

Windows Small Business SERVER 2003 and ISA 2004. I'm on a Windows 7 computer.

I'm unable to send an email using Windows Live Mail (may very well receive):

"The connection to the server failed.

    Topic 'blah blah '.
    Server: 'smtp.blahblah.co.za '.
Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x800CCC0E
    Protocol: SMTP
    Port: 587
    Secure (SSL): No.
    Socket error: 10060 "

And I am unable to use Dropbox (it is not connect to update in all).

I'm sure it's something to do with the proxy of the ISA Server settings. If I use another internet connection on my computer all of the above works. But when going through the server, it fails. I tried to add the proxy settings in Dropbox, but no go.

I'm a noob with ISA, then all of the instructions, please do step by step. : )

    Thank you!

  • Recently, do 800ccc0f with Windows Live Mail IMAP protocol when just read AOL e-mail so I am not idle, but the server disconnected the connection!

I have Windows 7 Edition Home Premium, 64 bit on an HP G72 laptop. About 2 or 3 weeks, I get error code 800ccc0f when looking at my AOL emails on the downloaded Windows Live Mail program.  I am not idle, as I read my emails in Inbox, but it says that the server has unexpectedly disconnected the connection. So I close the program and restart WLM but the problem happen in say 15 minutes, sometimes earlier.

This is the IMAP protocol, with port 143 and secure SSL is 0.

    (1) what is the cause for this?

    (2) I have no virus detected by Windows Security Essentials etc.  So is it a recent Windows Update causing the problem, as kb2454826 affected WLM since January 2011? (I uninstall this update kb2454826).

I also noticed that the problem with the same error code occurs when I delete some e-mails in my Inbox.

So it is all awkward and Windows Mail on my last laptop Vista was better on the screen, functionality, reliability, and Outlook 2002 on my laptop XP Pro worked and looked better also. I use WLM version 11, I think.

    (3) can Microsoft Windows Mail works on Windows 7, or at least improve WLM to look and work like Windows Mail with better reliability too?

    Thanks in advance.

    SofiaS

    Hi Sofia S

I use windows live mail version 11 and have an account to imap aol here are the settings I use.

Right-click on your aol account and click Properties,
Tab servers make sure that my server requires authentication is checked.

    The tab advanced,
Mail Port SMTP outgoing # is 587
Check this server requires a secure connection (SSL)

    Incoming IMAP mail
Check this server requires a secure connection (SSL)

change the server 2 or 3 minute wait times, I use 2 and that works for me.

After clicking on apply and close the window re - open prorperties and check that mail port # 587 outgoing sometimes he stuck back to default settings.

    Hope this helps

  • Windows Live mail pop-up window

Running W7 Home Prem, and Windows Live mail 2011.

Everytime I open WLM I get 2 opening windows, 1st reading, you're stuck on your account due to changes in password... etc. When I close the window, the next window that appears is asking me to enter ID and password (Login).  I have 1 email acct created... and 1 alone... and as these windows open... WLM connects with my email provider and brings new messages in my Inbox... and I can send as well.  Thinking that the Acct. email somehow has problems, even if it was connect and works well, I deleted the email acct... meaning, there is NO email accts established.  When I open WLM 2 windows always open.  It's like there's an email acct running Ghost\hidden... but it is not found.  I don't see ANY email accts appears in the pane on the right... and I had only 1 acct e-mail created.

I ran Windows Live Essentials Repair, that didn't fix the problem.

In Outlook, you can create a new e-mail profile and when you do it a new PST file is created.  Is this possible in WLM and if so, how?

I can dlete the file data .eml WLM... and when WLM is open as a result of the removal of the eml file, it will automatically create a NEW eml files?  I searched the eml file, I did a search... but I can't.

  • Windows Update broken KB3011780 Windows Live Mail SSL?

I used Windows Live Mail as my e-mail client main on my laptop for several years without any real problems.  I use Windows 7 Pro SP1 64 bit.

Yesterday, my system applied KB3011780, which is a security update addressing a Kerberos vulnerability.  After that my system is applied, Windows Live Mail no is more would allow me to access one of my email accounts - oddly enough, the only account I use SSL to authenticate with.  When I disabled SSL for this account, I was able to access my mail without problem.

The error I get from WLM is:

Can't send or receive messages for the * address email is removed from the privacy * account. Your server suddenly put an end to the connection. The possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

    Server: 'xxx.xxx.xxx.
Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x800CCC0F
    Protocol: POP3
    Port: 995
    Secure (SSL): Yes
    Socket error: 10053

Note that I only have this problem with WLM.  My Apple products also access this account had no problem; In addition, I can access the account via a browser web and customer web without problem.  Which leads me to believe that it's specific to WLM - and, since it's the only update that was applied in the last week or two, there must be this update at the origin of the problem.

Note that my research has indicated that this could be a problem AV.  I confirm that AV has * nothing * to do with it in my case.  I disabled my AV and I still got the same result.  It took to disable SSL in WLM to get my email working again.  Period.

My question is: am I the only one experiencing this problem?  I believe that I am not, because it seems to break SSL in total for WLM.  I'm leaning to uninstall this update on the whole rather than do not use SSL for my POP e-mail access

    Thank you.

I'm the only one experiencing this problem?

You are the only one to complain about him so far in these forums.

I too have Windows Live Mail 2012 on Windows 7 Pro SP1 x 64, and I too installed KB3011780 yesterday. I saw no change at all in the transactions client/server using POP3, SMTP, IMAP and DeltaSync over secure SSL connections. I think something must be at work in your case. Please check under Internet Options in the Control Panel use SSL 3.0 and use TLS 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 are selected on the Advanced tab. Since you obscured the server name involved, it is difficult to make other suggestions.

  • Windows live mail/Outlook express

If I can come back to use Outlook Express as my email account after you use Windows Live Mail for awhile?

If so is there any likely repercussions?

Outlook Express was last used in XP and there is no standalone version. If you have Win7 Pro, enterprise or ultimate edition, you can use OE in XP Mode.

  • In Windows Live Mail 2011, when I click to send a message or reply to a message, the original message is not included in the message.

I installed Windows Live Mail 2011 as part of a clean Windows 7 Pro 64 - bit installation. I recently discovered that, when replying to emails and in the transmission of emails, only the header of the message appears in my verse forward or reply. The body of the original e-mail does not appear. I checked the security settings and made sure that the "Include message in reply" option (options |) The Send tab) is checked.

Help, please! It shouldn't be so complicated.

Well I solved just my own question. In the attempts to define my fonts so that no e-mail messages look attractive (i.e. not Times New Roman), I went to the Options | Play button and clicked on 'Fonts', the proportional and lockable fonts to width and size of characters and encoding ('User Defined'). I then proceeded to the "International settings" button and check the box for "Use of the a default encoding for all incoming messages". Check this box what's causing the WLM 2011 to no longer aim for the original in the responses and forward message.

Is good, I guess, to do too much tinkering. Hope this helps someone in the future.

  • Windows Live Mail - Unable to send (from Windows7 64-bit machine)

Hello, I am computer technology in our office.  I have four new desktops Windows7 Pro 64-bit at the office, I try to get Windows Live Mail works on.  I can receive messages but not send mail.  I use the standard port 25 SMTP outgoing; port 110 POP3 for incoming.  The e-mail account is fine (accesscomm.ca) and have used it for years.  I get the error on the attempt to send TCP.  Just for something else to try, I used the same account settings on an HP that has Windows7 32 bit laptop and it worked fine!  So is there something specific to the 64-bit version, or is there anything else to check?  I have disabled the Windows Firewall and UAC.

Well, well, well.  I removed McAfee Virus Scan Enterprise 8.7.0i worm and can send very well now.

  • Where can I find the Windows Live Mail program only. NOT 'Live Essentials '.

Using Win 7 Pro.  Have been throughout the MSN site and it keeps you govern to Win Live Ess.  Windows has a "tracking cookie" that I want to get rid of too.

Windows Live Mail is part of Windows Live Essentials. When you download and run the installer of Windows Live Essentials, it executes a heel that allows you to select the components you want and download them. It is the only way to install Windows Live Mail.

  • How to import my AddressBook and emails from Windows Live Mail 2011 in Thunderbird?

My new ISP had problems with Windows Live Mail so I'm now using Thunderbird for the first time. I've never used T-bird before so keep the simple instructions.

A picture is worth a thousand words, they say.

Apparently, the choices are slightly different after 5 years. "Import all messages from a directory '

In the toolbar, click address book. On the Tools menu, select Import and specify the file type.

I'm talking about opening a CSV file in a spreadsheet hereto clean up the columns and positions because it is much easier to use tools of import from Thunderbird to make. (they crack on this task)

  • Cannot create the e-mail account, but can with windows live mail

I have a thunderbird e-mail account will not create just I have contacted my ISP and I have all the correct settings, but every time that I get a message saying. Thunderbird could not find your e-mail account settings. but on my other email account with thunderbird Charter set up very well. but when I used the settings to configure the email account in windows live mail, it worked. My ISP told me that this is a problem with thrunderbird. can someone help me please.

Not a problem with Thunderbird, a problem with your anti-virus crashes Thunderbird to access internet.

the configuration of the Charter is here https://autoconfig.thunderbird.net/v1.1/charter.net

Thunderbird can not find, if it cannot connect.

Check the firewall component of the anri virus and make sure Thunderbird has full access to the internet.
