Windows Live Movie Maker-no sound from imported video

No sound on Windows Live Movie Maker!

I use a Windows 7, and I have a camera "Canon PowerShot SX210 IS." I want to make a simple movie in Windows Live Movie Maker, and after that I imported the video from the camera to Movie Maker, there is no sound at all.

There are other issues similar to this, but it describes go to 'Tools' and I can't seem to find the regular tabs like that.

Please answer with anything!

I use Super to convert it to a .wmv and see if it works.

  • Windows Live Movie Maker plays a fuzzy imported .wmv file, which plays totally fine on Media Player

    Hello

I have Windows 7 and I'm trying to 'sting' 3 whole .wmv files in a movie. (You know, a very basic edition!) One of the files (once registered online or webinar) .wmv appears blurry on Live Movie Maker, but totally fine, clear plays in the drive Media.  Why?  Here are the properties of the file.

Can someone help me solve this?  Thank you!

Another possibility is that Movie Maker is just having trouble viewing clip Webinar.  Webinar clips using a different compression standard since they do not have a lot of changing information.  In addition, your screenshot, it is clear that the clip is in 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratio, then maybe when Movie Maker it resizes to the preview, it causes content to blurs.  This is highly visible when you have the text slides where there are many small details.

As noted by J of volunteer work, you can try to convert and combine clips using Freemake Video Converter.  That could help.  In addition, you never said if you saw this blur in the preview, in the final movie, or both.  If the problem is in the preview, you could ignore it, especially if the video arrived at the final is very good.

  • Windows Live Movie Maker transformed my 16:9 video automatically at 4:3

I use Windows Movie Maker Live to edit my videos, but it turns my videos from HD widescreen (MTS format) automatically to the 4:3 format with black bars on both sides. When I select 16:9 in the edition, it places an another black bars up and down the sides and the ruins of the entire video. I'm using Vista in my laptop, but my friend using Windows 7 do not encounter this problem.

  • Windows Live Movie Maker is not recognizing my video files

Video files are MOV which should be compatible with WLMM, but when I add them there is an error and the following message appears:

"The file may be corrupted or in a format that Movie Maker does not recognize.
This movie can be saved or published until (the video file name) is removed from the project.

I downloaded successfully to WLMM VOB files but it's the MOV formats that cause this problem. In the center of troubleshooting WLMM, he advises finding or installing missing codecs which is beyond me!

Unable to get sound when you import video clips (.m2ts) Cannon for Windows Live Movie Maker video recorder or on the video file (.wmv).  Does anyone have a suggestion as to how this can be done?

    Hi RichGraff,

    • You have sounds in the VCR of Canon?
    • Are you facing problem with this video or other videos as well?

For now, I suggest to import the video clip in Windows Movie Maker, which is an application integrated into Windows Vista and check if you get its in.

audio of my video is lost when I import into windows live movie maker, but can be heard when played in media player. video is from jvc camcorder handy, file type is: MOD (video clip)

Just because a file is played in Windows Media Player

  • Download the digital video from a camcorder using Windows Live Movie Maker

Tried to upload digital videos from a camcorder using Windows Live Movie Maker. To plug my camcorder, a dialog box "import video" appears. However when I name the video, and then click then I get an error message "there is no tape in your digital video device. To continue, insert a tape with recorded video you want to import. I tried eject Strip and re-integration, restart the camcorder and PC without success.

OK, I found my problem. I was getting the same error "There is no cassette" who you were. Here's what fixed it:

    1. Right click on my computer
    2. Properties
    3. Device Manager on the left
    4. Find the firewire card in the list (mine was the only thing listed under IEEE 1394 Bus host controllers)
    5. Make a right click, properties
    6. Driver tab
    7. Update driver
    8. Browse my computer for driver software
    9. Let me pick from a list of device on my computer drivers
    10. Choose one that has '(legacy)' at the end
    11. Click Next until it is done.

After that the error has disappeared and I was able to capture video with success.

    Hope this helps,

    -Brett.

  • Why are there no sound on some of my downloaded on Windows Live Movie Maker avi files?

Using Windows Live Movie Maker for the first time (already used Windows Movie Maker) and have added a number of clips from my computer, all the files AVI, taken on the same camcorder. When I go to change about half have sound and the other half have no sound. Volume on my computer and WLMM is high for all the clips but makes no difference. Have tried to remove one of the clips, no sound and add it back, but makes no difference. All clips will play direct using media files Media Player, but those with no sound have also no sound if I open it with Windows Media Player.

    Really frustrating!

    Any ideas?

    Thanks for your reply.

I've updated everything is available in Windows Update - although there is nothing specific to sound. It made no difference.

I also checked HP for updates - but none was necessary.

After doing some googling more, I downloaded the K-lite codec pack which fortunately solved the problem in Windows Media Player. Although he did not no difference for WLMM - so now posted a request in this forum - fingers crossed!

    Thanks again

  • Error messages from Windows Live Movie Maker Movie

I am trying to create a movie using the new installed Windows Live movie maker and I'm able to import fine film scenes. However, when I try to change them at times, he's very well but then on other times it displays an error message saying that Windows cannot save movie file because the movie you may be corrupted or it film ake cannot determine Ann that the file was created. It displays an error message like a triangle with an exclamation point. It will do this at random whenever I start my project and sometimes it's the same movie and other times it's a different movie. When she did this, I simply save the file and close it movie maker, then re-open the Director and then reopen the file. I record movies from a camera, sharper Image with the .avi file extension which is a supported file type, so I don't know what is the cause. Maybe I need to rename the files as the Director does not recognize it by a unique name? If anyone has answers on this it would be greatly appreciated because I really want to complete this film I have all the scenes in it of just a matter of change them.

    Hi John Cab,.

Make sure that the necessary codec is installed on the computer.

You can use your favorite search engine to download third-party Codecs.

Note:  Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.
