If you want to remove this one particular of your Outbox:

  1. Close all applications, including Mail
  2. Log off from Windows
  3. Disconnect from the network (unplug the Ethernet cable and/or turn off wireless)
  4. Log on to Windows
  5. Make sure that you have no network connectivity
  6. Open the Mail application
  7. Go to the Outbox
  8. Delete the e-mail posing problem
  9. Close the Mail application
  10. Log off from Windows
  11. Reconnect to the network
  12. ...

  • BOOTMGR is compressed. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del to restart__But when I do the same message appears and now my netbook won't start.

I'm not a computer whizz and now I fear I can have made a big mistake when I thought I was doing something safe.

So here's the story, I wanted to do a little more space on my drive hard because I don't have but a small memory netbook. After the usual cleaning disc and other things, I also saw a tick box option to compress all the files and folders on the c: / drive. I checked this box and everything was fine until I stop and it works even today.

As soon as the first image - the HP logo disappears (with instructions following key below '= change Boot Device Order' and '= ' configuration Options of the BIOS) I get a black screen with the following script in the upper right:

"BOOTMGR is compressed"... and below, «press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart»

However, when I do restart, nothing chages and I come back to the same message over and over. I think its pretty obvious that my 'sting' autour potentially screwed up things good and clean and I would be very grateful if someone knows how to solve my problem and what to do. I tried to study the question, already and so far, I think I might have to reinstall windows, but when I bought this netbook, windows has been installed for me so I did not drive. I don't even have a hard drive anyway. I also read on the windows troubleshooting pages who put the pressing F8 repeatedly until 'start it again from the last record in the point' etc options but it did not work either... unless I'm doing it wrong.

I hope I gave enough information above so that someone is able to help. Thank you for your time and I'll look forward all the answers and I hope that the answer.

This is a popular problem with computers HP they have written an article about this (in other words, what happens often):

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/document?LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&DocName=c01872275

Compression is not a bad thing, but in the world where the disk storage is cheap usually not worth - you just buy more storage or maintenance disk Dome (remove things).  Compression can actually slow down the performance of your system too.  I think it's just sort of a vestige of the old days and can have negative consequences today.

Using the HP article, you can repair your system in seconds after getting into the Recovery Console.

There is a similar problem with systems not HP where the ntldr file may get compressed and solve it is a little different, but the concept is the same and only takes a few seconds to fix.

You will not engage in any kind of Mode safe either.

Enter the Recovery Console may be the biggest challenge.

You have a genuine XP bootable installation CD?  This is not the same as any type of System Recovery CD which might come with your system.  If you do not, you will need to make a bootable CD from Recovery Console by using a system of work - or physically move your HARD drive to a system that works, repair and put back.

Your system model number not specified there a CD player?

I have a question regarding windows mail. I was send and receive mail with no problems until last Thursday. I can still receive mail, but I can not send. My email is with bellsouth.net and comes in my computer through windows Messaging.  I spent an hour and a half on the phone with bellsouth, and they say that the problem is with my windows mail.  I tried to use a restore date, and that did not help either. I will post a copy of this message, as I keep getting.  Your server suddenly put an end to the connection. The possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Object 't', counts: 'mail.bellsouth.net', server: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, secure (SSL): no, error number: 0x800CCC0F thanks for any help.

Sometimes, WinMail settings get screwed up and you must remove the account and then add it back back.  Make sure first that the antivirus software not interfere (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3).   Delete your account completely, then close WinMail.  Then compact and repair the database of WinMail (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/).  Add your account to mail back once again, and then make sure you have the correct settings under Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Servers and | Advanced to what AT & T Specifies to WinMail (or OE).  Then see if it works.

  • Problem with windows mail send not of pictures and attachments? Help, please!

Hello, yesterday I continued to get an error code when you try to update some security updates, I've used the tutorial help and went and deleted some file deep into my system, as he ordered.  He has not yet fixed the error and now my windows mail will not send attachments and the police to the address info seem different?  I'm lost, please help!

    Hi Pishy,

    1. what was the error code that you received when you try updates security?

    2. what tutorial did you delete files?

    3. what happens when you try to send emails with attachments? You receive messages or error codes?

You can try to perform a restore of the system to a prior restore point you have been affected by the issue.

Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

To run the system restore, you can consult the following link:

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Windows Mail security request my username and password.

Very often, it is due to an intermittent server problem and not a problem with your computer.  You should contact the provider of messaging and see there are problems.  See also if you can connect via webmail and if it works.  If so, then try to set up a second copy of your account and see if it works.  Also beware of interference antivirus: see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 and it can help to compact and repair the database of WinMail (see www.oehelp.com/WMUTil/)

  • I get the same messages code and error with Windows Mail for a week that the person in the previous announcement.

It seemed to have started running last week when we had a huge update of Windows.  Windows Mail does not connect to the top through our wireless network.  He tries to go through several dial-up non-existent.  It is not a problem with my server.  I checked with them.  I tried to pass even if Windows Mail, with tools, through accounts, properties.  Once I get in the window with about 8 tabs on it, I can't get into any tab, except that might do me some good.  When I click on the Connections tab, my computer hangs in Windows Mail, and I leave Windows Mail.  Is there another way to get into Windows Mail to set the connection to Windows Mail?  Is there a way to get my computer to get the network wireless set up as the connection by default because the way he is now, he won't put the connection wireless as the default connection, even if I'm signed up to this time.  It's a problem that has arisen recently and it is extremely annoying.

Try to compact and repair the database first (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/) to rule out the possibility that it is a question of database.

Then go to tools | Options | Connection and see if you can set the correct connection there.  Then go to tools | Accounts | Add | Post and add another copy of your e-mail account with the correct settings.  Before you download messages, go to tools | Accounts | Mail | The original properties and uncheck the include account when sending and receiving.  Then check mail on the new account you set up and see if it works.  If so, you can delete the old account.

If it is still a question, then see point 3 here: www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 to exclude interference antivirus and see point 15 on this page for updates which could have done (nothing to do with your problem).

    Hello

can you write here, how large are the files of Outlook Express data? (specifically Sent Items.dbx )

These files has the limit of 2 GB and are stored:

    C:\Documents and Settings\#USERNAME#Settings\Application Data\Identities\ {unique hexadecimal string} \Microsoft\Outlook Express

where #USERNAME # is your username.

Here is some information on the DBX files:

    http://www.ABF-soft.com/dbx-file.shtml

If the file 'Envoyes.dbx' has size 2 GB, that Outlook Express can not move e-mail sent in this file and, therefore, the email are always send over and over again...

  • Can I set up Windows Mail to send messages and not receive?

sending messages multiple pc while receiving on one PC

I am trying to set up Windows Mail on Vista machine just to send messages and do not receive because I get all my email on another computer running Windows XP. Is it feasible with the same account name and service provider? How can I make sure that don't get emails on the machine Vista. Windows Mail requires both incoming and outgoing servers?

When you set up your account send only, you should be able to disable the e-mail is.  Under the general tab of the account properties, you will find a box "Include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing".  Uncheck this option.  You can include any string of fake server, you want the name of the incoming server.  The account will never check incoming mail, but you can use it to send mail.

  • Windows mail sends no message and said and was error if I try to delete

My Windows mail client, version 6, stopped sending messages that remain in the Outbox.  If I try to delete the message, it indicates an error has occurred and suggest that to consult the community.  Any ideas?

Thank you. Installation of service pack 1 seems to have done the trick.  We have a second device also running Vista Home Premiun with service Pack 3, which has a similar problem - this time the email get sent, but a copy is left in the Outbox.  In addition, if windows mail is asked to run just after the start, it fails.  During my recent attempt error 0x800CCC0F were reported.  A new attempt normally succeeds.

The hotfix download, KB951090, suggested in a response to a similar problem I used also failed on the other computer.  I'll try the tool suggested to see if it works.  Benachie7

  • Windows live mail and windows mail the same thing?

I am trying to find a way to export my contacts and messages from windows mail "somewhere" to keep as I have said that my laptop is about to crash and must be cleaned and reinstalled everything.  Thanks for any help from there.  I've been to 2 computer guys and none of them don't know Windows Mail and don't want to be.

Windows Mail is an e-mail program built into Windows Vista.  It is not available in other versions of Windows.

Windows Live Mail is not built in any version of Windows.  You can download it and install it on Windows XP, Vista and 7.

Drag all messages from the Outbox to the drafts folder and then try to compact and repair the database with this tool. Restart the computer when it is done and try a simple test message to yourself.
