Windows Mail - what format must be a video to send?

My video format is MP4.  This who should I convert to in order to to e-mail?

Hi Valerie,

You can attach any type of file to an email, as it is small enough to be managed by your ISP and ISP to the recipient.  A common limit is 10 megabytes, but you should check that your ISP and your recipient.

The real question is "my recipient can read this format?  It depends on what players they have installed and (sometimes) on what operating system they use.  You should ask before sending.

MP4 is a container, not a video format.  MP4 files may contain other things in a variety of video and audio formats.  Once you know which players on your PC can read the file, then you can advise your recipient what works for you.

If they say that they have Windows 7, and Windows Media Player 12 can manage more Mp4.  On Vista or earlier, WMP 11 usually cannot read the Mp4 except special codecs have been installed.  Otherwise, they would need a third of reading like VLC or Quicktime.  If they only WMP on Vista or XP, you can convert the file to WMV format before sending it.  If they have a MAC, Quicktime will be available to play the MP4.

Convert videos reduced quality, so it's best to avoid that, when this is possible.

Mails are received without a good 'from' address.  They now have the shape of the House of garbage.  NOTES not real names.

I inadvisedly signed up for something the House of garbage and other offers from partner sites.  House of garbage and partner sites all start sending me waste in large quantities.  They all had one thing in common - all spam emails came rubbishionmx.com.    I had managed to block this domain by adding it to the blocked senders list.

Now I get these emails again in my Inbox.  Any attempt to add the domain to blocked senders list fails. Probably due to no dΘcodeur address.

    What should I do now?

You are welcome. Are you speaking of the only rule address book? Depending on the type of legitimate mail you get, some like it and some do not.

Start with the only rule of AddressBook and you receive a message that you want people not in your address book (E-mail from companies, bills, your ISP, etc), you can add them to the rule.

Tools | Message rules | Mail | New.

    Box 1 - Where the From line contains people {check it out}

Box 2 - Check: delete it & stop processing more rules if you want messages not in the address book to go to deleted items, or you can create a spam folder and direct them here.

You can choose to delete the server, but be careful because you never have messages downloaded to any folder, if you choose this option.

Box 3 - Click on the blue words contains people

Click on the first address to select it. Scroll to the end and hold down the SHIFT key while you click the last address. This will highlight all. Right-click on it and click on from the menu that appears.

Now, click Options and choose: Message * contains no of * the people below in the top of the page Options area, then choose: Message corresponds to one of the people below in the background Options box.

OK your way out of the new rule.

Now, only the addresses that you entered will be uploaded to your Inbox. You won't see other emails.

Remember, if you add a person to your address book, you must add to the rule. It will not automatically be added.

  • Download Windows Mail problem

During my good computer for the service, I have created an e-mail account on a Toshiba laptop under Vista Home and Windows Mail, what email client I've ever used before.  I have a slow connection, so I normally go to the site of the ISP and organize email before downloading - delete spam and move large in a folder messages until I can visit a library with a fast connection.  But this computer sometimes starts download of e-mails before I give "approval".  Today, a great message started download in one window, while I was moving it in the large file on ISP in another window. Now I have the progress bar that claims to be download this message.  It is frozen and I can't get rid of it.

I tried the email of closing client and reopening without success.  I think that if I turned off and restart, I can fix it, but where is there a setting in Win Mail to let me decide whether to download and so prevent this problem in the first place?  Thank you.

Tools | Options | In general. Uncheck: Send & receive messages at startup and check for messages every X minutes.

WinMail close and open and I hope that the problem will be resolved. If this isn't the case, you must delete the message from the Inbox on the server.

  • Problems sending mail in Windows Live Mail (and Windows Mail)

    De :  MarkJ

    Hello

I had a go at some of the solutions I've seen for this problem but have had no luck yet, I wonder if Miss me something?

So, I can receive emails without problem (in Windows Live Mail and Windows Mail), but don't have had no success sending (although I can always send mails when I access my account online).

The fixes I've tried so far are:

-through my account settings and to ensure that they are as indicated by my email provider (I have an ntlworld account). IE POP3 and SMTP settings must be correct.

-then I tried to check the box "my server requires authentication" (did not work)
    - then I tried completely disabling my firewall/anti-anti-virus/e-mail protection (ZoneAlarm) who also worked
    - then I tried to install an update of sorts for Windows Mail (not Live Mail) (found on a Board communities, sorry can't remember which, but it was an official update from microsoft)... and it does not work
-Finally, I tried to install Windows Live Mail... and Yes you guessed it, that does not work either (I also checked the settings etc.)

....... I wonder why things have to be so difficult?

Can someone please tell me where I'm wrong!

This is the error message I get:

The connection to the server has failed.

    Subject 'Test '.
    Server: 'smtp.ntlworld.com '.
Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x800CCC0E
    Protocol: SMTP
    Port: 25
    Secure (SSL): No.
    Socket error: 10060

To solve the problem of sending (at home) once for all, you need to replace the Server SMTP from Orange to smtp.ntlworld.com. I don't know, what if Orange will allow you to keep your return address of NTL, when sending to Windows Mail. It's worth a try.

  • Windows Mail back my email!

Windows Mail has returned my email. I've been using Yahoo Mail and somehow all got transferred to Windows Mail. (I must have clicked on something)? It also took all the messages that have been saved out of the server and are now available on Windows Mail on this one computer. Can Q: I receive my messages stay on the server? I can't old messages on the server? Can I go to Yahoo Mail and have my old posts back to the server? I really liked Yahoo Mail and prefer to continue to use it. I spent an hour on the phonw with AT & T Yahoo technical support and they could not understand what happened.

If you do not use Windows Mail, why don't you set up an account there? He did not by himself. If you do not want it: tools | Accounts and delete the account.

A1: Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties | Advanced - Check: leave a copy of messages on the server.

A2: The only way to deliver the messages on the server must send to yourself. However, that will change all the message headers.

A3: you are free to use the Webmail of Yahoo.

I am trying to set up windows mail, outgoing email works, but I can't receive mail?

    Please can someone help?

The message above is displayed when pressed send/receive?

Port for POP3 does not seem right from my own experience (but I don't know what is appropriate for your Internet access provider, so I could be wrong).  To resolve this issue, you must contact your service provider and ask for their assistance in the implementation of your messaging configurations and then validate that they act by sending you a message and you confirm reeceive it.  We cannot really help you because we do not know the settings.  I often call my ISP for assistance (usually with connection problems that are their fault), but I am sure that they will help you get the account set poroperly in Windows Mail.

The fact that you can send messages is a good sign because it shows that you have a connecction and that rules the problems with your system, your modem or network card.

Try to go to the web site of your email account and see if you can send messages from here.  If this is not the case, there may be a problem with their server or your global settings.  If Yes, then the problem is almost certainly the settings in Windows Mail.  The ISP can help you with this.

I hope this helps.  Keep me posted.

    Good luck!

I have had no problems until the week last now I can't send anything.  I deleted all the old emails in sent, Outbox, deleted files without help.  My email servers and password have not changed over the years?

    Using Vista with Windows Mail

"Protocol: SMTP, server response: ' 530 authentication is required before sending [R0107005] ', Port: 25...

Click on Tools > accounts > {account} > properties. On the servers tab, select my server requires authentication. On the Advanced tab, change the port to 587outgoing mail server.

I have had no problems until the week last now I can't send anything.

TWC upgrade all their e-mail servers, including those for the accounts of RR. If you still see an error after changing the settings as above, you could be better implemented in a new account with the parameters given on this page: What are my incoming and outgoing mail server addresses? Disable the include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing in the tab general in the Properties dialog of the existing account in the same time. When you have the account of work, you can transfer messages of files from the old account (e.g., sent items) to a new one, and you can then delete the old account.

    Hello!

    Thanks for the post.

This isn't the exact error message, PS paste the entire error message, but this does not mean that we have no idea.

This above error message is perhaps due to Norton, I say Norton because I saw it with Norton. Quite possible that you use another Antivirus/Firewall. Try to disable the firewall/AV & see if this work. Alternatively, try to uninstall the security software & then give it a shot.

Hope it would help, do not hesitate to come back with the exact error code.
