Protect a program updates

Windows tries to install an update that I know will mess up one of my old programs.  How can I isolate and protect this update malware program?  I can't let the computer shut down because this will remove parts of the program that I use all the time?  Thank you

  • Update the system: remove left files in C:\Program Update\session\ of Lenovo?

Downloaded updates are deposited under C:\Program Update\session\ of Lenovo.

Can delete these files after you install the updates?

Yes, you can delete the contents of the folder after the installation of the drivers/software. The next time that you run the system update, you will probably see that the folders and multiple files (such as XML files) under the 'session' folder will be recreated/downloaded again, but these files will not take a lot of space. You can also move the contents of the record session on a USB drive or elsewhere. That way if you need to reinstall your operating system at some point, you can install the update system and copy the content under the folder of the session again. Then, you don't have to download all the stuff once more, as Lenovo download is extremely slow.

I don't know if it is possible to save the folder of session elsewhere and not in the system update folder. Maybe it's possible to change some registry keys or configuration files. It was never a problem for me if you ever tried to change this path. For backup using a backup program that allows to create incremental backups, then the files that is not changed will be saved only during the creation of the full backup. When the full backup is created incremental running not backup those files again unless they are changed.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Blackberry Protect issue was updated to Version 1.1.1.73

    Hi all

If any of you out there have a problem with verification in BlackBerry Protect after the update, I found this on Crackberry.com. The fix works. Thanks JCBrunson. go to this link and follow the blog,

    http://forums.CrackBerry.com/showthread.php?t=734704

I had the problem of verification. Now it's working. It seems that the update does not update the Blackberry ID software Once you reinstall Blackberry protect, it will update the software for the ID, it will ask to restart and then once rebooted, simply connect to Blackberry protect.

Thanks for that, that's what some of us have recommended the last day for those who has the problem.

You can also go to Options > device > application management and remove the BlackBerryID module when you delete also protect them, and you reinstall Protect, BlackBerryID update module will also be relocated.

  • When playing a DVD error: "unable to display analog protection, video driver update."

    Original title:

How to upgrade video driver.  get the message when I load the new dvd saying that analog protection cannot be displayed, updated video drver.

I have only this message each time to time on dvd again.  Most of them play without problem.  You want to solve the problem because I don't know if there is a codec problem or I need a video upgrade.

    Hello

Thanks for visiting and Microsoft Community to answer your concerns about giving!

When you try to play DVDs, you get the error "saying that analog protection cannot be displayed, update the video driver".

    Quick questions:

    1. What program you're using to play the DVD? (Windows media Player, Windows Media Center, etc.)
    2. What is the full error message?

The error message "cannot play the DVD because it is not possible to activate the analog copy on the output screen protection', you may encounter this error message for the following reasons:

    * Your DVD decoding software must be configured. If you have another DVD player program installed on your computer, read the DVD using this program and then try to play the DVD in Windows Media Player.

    * There is a problem with your video card configuration. Restart your computer, and then try again. If the error is not resolved, you may need to install a driver available for your video card.

To determine if there is a newer driver for your video card, perform one of the following:

o open Windows Update by clicking Start and then all programs.

Check for any updated driver for your video card. If found, try updating the video drivers.

o visit your computer or video card manufacturer's Web site.

See the Microsoft article below for more information on updating drivers: update drivers: recommended links

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/update-drivers-recommended-links

    For your information:

A codec is a software to compress or decompress a digital media file, such as a song or a video. Windows Media Player and other programs use codecs to play and create digital media files.

A codec can consist of two components: an encoder and a decoder. The encoder performs the compression function (coding) and the decoder performs the decompression function (decoding). Some codecs include both components and some codecs only one of them.

For example, when you rip a song from an audio CD on your computer, the player uses the default Windows Media Audio codec to compress the song into a compact WMA file. When you play that WMA file (or any WMA file that may be broadcast from a Web site), the player uses the codec Windows Media Audio to decompress the file for music can be played through your speakers.

  • Firefox can not be updated and do not be installed (no action after unpacking the file or the program update)

    Hi all

I was unable to update Firefox since Version 17.0, each update attempt failed. The automatic update feature still reported that the update has been without success/failure, then download the new version of Firefox and then try to install it simply leads to inaction after unpacking (running the file). Now, I tried to address this problem by uninstalling firefox and then install the new browser. However, I'm back to where I was decompresses the file and then nothing happens. I am very frustrated as I like the browser and I can't use it anymore. Before, Version 17.0 worked well for me, I simply couldn't be updated. I checked my firewall (windows) and my anti-virus (avast free) program and the program is not blocked, so I simply do not know why I can not update and (re-) install. I would appreciate any solution

Disconnect for security. Use the SafeMode clean Windows, but from the F8 key. See if you can install Firefox.

I wonder if somehow, security software is always blocking the installation. Consider temporarily uninstall if necessary security software. No doubt other .exe files run (or I doubt you could do a lot with the computer) and this isn't a problem with file associations have been corrupted.

  • Windows 7 do not remember the program updates after roll back to windows 10

Hi, my computer auto installed Windows 10 earlier, where I lived with for a while, but it caused problems running so I uninstalled and returned to my previous installation of Windows 7.

Since then, I get several updates for very programs that I install, and then when I restart, the computer tells me that the same updates are available again for the same programs.

For example, Itunes tells me an update is available, I'll install it with no message error, but when I reboot, it just telling me that the same version of update is available.

Same thing happens with the Java updates, updates Flash, and if I check a box to ignore updates, he said always updates are available after the next reboot.

It seems that updates are not entered in the Windows registry, or something.

Anyone any idea what I'm talking about, or know how to fix this problem?

    Thanks in advance

If you did restore it is as buggy as the application upgrade of Windows 10 and causes many problems.  You must always save a backup image of your installs stable at all times, as well as backup files from a hard drive can die at any moment.

I ran the scans of the infection, auditor of the filesystem and if necessary a repair installation of these Troubleshooting for Windows 7 steps to fully rehabilitate your installation.

From elsewhere if you had upgraded on this PC, and he never activated, then you have right-free life (method without key) Windows Install-Clean 10
