My windows media player does not automatically recognize when a disc is placed in the disc drive. I have to put the disc in the disc drive, and then close windows media player, with the disc in the disc drive already, then re-open windows media player. Reopened WMP with the disc in the disc drive, it recognizes the disc in the drive. It then functions well until I need to change the disk at this time I have to start the reboot stop of WMP. This problem has not allways exists just started a few months ago. Thanks for any helpful information.

Windows media 11 - minute CD in the form of data files burn - Player wasn't question before
Windows media 11 - CD player now burn as data files - all the previous burns were 80 min 700 MB disc, now burn list shows only around 50 mb, 640 and used for whole album remaining. Does not work as an audio cd - this just started 3 months ago and I have been unable to solve. Thank you for the additional remarks: looking for updates, all-deleted Firefox Plugin (deleted) tried to reload Windows Media Player, but will not be with the current version. Rather not delete Windows Media Player and reload as many albums is here. 10 years of value at least

What burning CDs in Windows Media music system prepares all the files listed.
What burning CDs in Windows Media music system prepares all the files listed. When the system starts writing the files on the disc it gets through about 4 songs and then goes to finalize the disc and ejects the disc. The disk does not appear to have anything on it. Can I do anything locally to solve the problem?
My system is XP.
I burned the disc a lot in the past
There has been no major changes to the system
The files I am to burn to the disc are previously ripped files on the disk hard, some of them were burned on another drive before.
I tried to slow down the burn speed, but that did not work.

Security Suite blocking Windows Media center to connect to the Extender
I was initially a little happy home network with an xbox 360, a wired router and my pc under Windows 7 ULT(64bit) Norton 360 AV. During my AV license expires, I downloaded the version of my ISP (Norton Security Suite 4) to replace.
Now I can't Media center to add or discover the Extender. I added to Windows Media Center svchost.exe to the list of permitted programs, but it doesn't have the thing.
In help on the xbox live forums, suggestions are to work with the Windows Firewall not Norton. The Norton software has a different interface for the administration of the rules and I saw not a place where you can designate which programs can access which ports. And half of the programs listed as Qwave, Remote Desktop etc, I can't even find the interface of Norton.
If anyone knows or has worked this issue before Norton Security suite please respond when you can. Thank you
Hello
You can try the steps below and check if that helps.
(a) in the main window of Norton Internet Security (Protect computer, privacy), in the network pane, click settings.
(b) under smart firewall, in line with program control, click Configure.
(c) in the control of the program window, click Add.
(d) in her select a program dialog box, locate the executable file for the program that you want to add.
(e) click Open.
(f) in the program control window, select the level of access that you want this program to have
You can also check out the link below and check if that helps to allow access to the Media Center Extender.

I have a mac 2009 i (late), I want again to install snow leopard (I have the disc), but my driver disk is broken! So I want to ask if there is a way to create a disk image of my windows pc to use it through the hard drive of my imac Lord?
External DVD USB drives are cheap. Usually $20 for a good quality player. Just buy one of these at Best Buy or another store and use it to install Snow Leopard. Then you also have a drive for something else that you have on the disk.

My laptop has 2 dual processor x 75 GB. Tried to move the files to the E drive but they double and are difficult to locate. Life should be easier than this! C drive is nearly full, E drive uses only 30%. What happens when the C drive is full?
[Moved from comments]
Simple!
You get a BIGGER hard drive.
The 'norm' for laptops these days is at least 500 GIGs.
Which is the same amount that I have in my table.
2 x 250 GB.
I have XP Pro on one single, Windows 7, on the other. (And each of them uses ONLY about HALF of these hard drives!)
In a month or two, I'll upgrade to 2 x 1 terabyte hard drives. sounds a little one 'kill too much', I know, but hey, my computer IS able to be updated that he got so far it?
Yours is in need of an upgrade too, suggest that there is, to solve your problem!

Original title: card video questions
My company adds two monitors to existing systems that are also running good XP and windows 7. Everything goes smoothly with the exception of one system using windows XP. I replaced the original video card (ATI DELL X 1300 128 MB VIDEO CARD in the PCI-E DVI TV-OUT) with nvidia GeForce 8400 GS and when I try to install the drivers through the disk, I get the following message: "Windows cannot read this disk. The disc's might be corrupted or it could be in a form that is not compatible with Windows. I flashed the BIOS, but still nothing. Do I need a different video card?
Hi TheRealBradB,
· The computer is on a domain network?
You can download and install the drivers from the nVidia GeForce 8400 GS video card for site.

I have Windows 8 is installed and an iso of Windows 8.1 on my USB.
My previous version of windows (which is already installed on the hard drive) will erase if I boot from a bootable USB. Please help me!
When you upgrade to 8.1 Windows it will replace your Windows 8.0. The only way I know to have both is to buy a copy of Windows 8.1 and install on another partition or drive. Hope this helps and if you need another post to help and we will be happy to help you.

Deletion of images when the external drive is disconnected.
I shared my images between the local storage and 2 TB external hard drive. If I delete a picture when the external drive is not connected it will erase the image next time the reader is turned on? If this isn't the case, I guess I'll have images that are not in the catalog more on external hard drive if it was not connected when I press DELETE. Thank you. Ian.
Hi IanLivesey
Lightroom keeps a catalogue of your pictures stored somewhere on the network no disc. If you delete an image you can delete in the catalog or the catalog and physically. To remove an image physically physical storage must be fixed.
If you only remove the images from the catalog, they will remain on your hard drive. You can remove these images subsequently with the tools of the operating system.
Kind regards
Daniel (from Switzerland)
