Windows Media Center, digital cable Advisor, do not have Internet?

I have a tuner Silicon dust 3 with a Chartered CableCardM that has been posted successfully & work, software to view the tuners of

Silicon dust works OK for the first 14 channels, but trying to watch all channels is protected by DRM are not displayed.  But I try to go back

& run the DCA in the Gallery of Extras to start more (haven't run it the first time for the installation of the dust of Silicon Tuner), but after starting the application, I get just the

message "NO INTERNET so it does not further.  More funny thing is, there are other applications that appear to work (CinemaNow, XMSirius, FOX, the)

Queensberry), those start & go to the respective web sites.  Also the Home Shopping Network can not find the internet as well.  I made the Internet connection

test under the settings menu, which removed OK.  My browser explore works very well too.  Do you have the download in WMC so to check updates.

Strange, is that I tried this on another computer laptop, first of all, one with which I worked was a former model from HP.  Now tried with a new Dell XPS.  Both

running WINDOWS 7 service pack 1, the two have some Blu - Ray players & outputs HDMI.  No laptop will start the DCA, simply gives the 'NO INTERNET CONNECTION'

error.  Stuck for now, seeking advice, no mention of DCA does not start, so I tried to not post this embarrassing question.

J.W.

Well well, thank you MattFTD for taking the time to read my dilemma.  I actually had things to work, but was

the difficulty to understand why the two laptops have had the same symptoms.  Had the Dell XPS one

expired version of Norton 360 (& System Mechanic was also exceeded in my opinion), so I renewed the two sub -.

scriptions & let the scans run & do all the maintenance with the two programs.  Then the Norton 360

not start again for a reason any.  Had to reload Norton 360, it received in operation.  After all the high-

dates have been made, I am back & tried the digital cable Advisor, now it started up nicely & went

through Setup is fine.  Do you have the same maintenance on my HP laptop, now DCA worked on it as

Well.  Got the channels to the digital tier very well on the HP, still needed to install the unit of Silicon dust on the

Reference Dell.   But now, that's progress.  Best reviews, maybe something in the registry for the DCA application was not

System Mechanic & game directly put things together.  Do not know why the two laptops had the same

problem.  Also thought the Norton 360 firewall may have been an obstacle.  I am returned & makes sure

the firewall feature worked, represented the DCA, has worked only elsewhere too.  One more step

to throw my leased cable boxes!

  • When you use Windows Media Center on the Xbox 360 DVD have not given chapter.

After finally finding many questions I have my Xbox Media Extender and running upward and only this question left.

I'm ripping my DVD to single file .vob she seems to like and plays very well, but it is only with the file movie and nothing else in the record.  How the XBOX sees it, the bed and he plays very well.  However I have no control outside the break and if I restart it takes over the job.

Now if I rip my DVD with the .bup .ifo files in this folder the XBOX instantly he shoots in the list of the DVD and it will not play.

When I use Windows Media Center on my PC it preforms even when the film is in the folder.  Then when I add bup and ifo data I can still play, but he has all data in the chapter that I need.  Shows all the chapters, allows me to jump as I please.

How can I get my XBOX to behave like my PC?  I have to remove these 4 files in/out of the folder to see pop in and out of my list of XBOX.  How can I get the XBOX to validate data, so my movies actually have chapters and ignore the controls?

    Thank you

    Chris

    Hello, wilsman00

As mentioned, by changing the VOB files, the data in the chapter are probably damaged. This can be confirmed by putting in a retail DVD in the drive and play directly from the DVD.

  • Guide to Windows Media Center (Vista x 64) will not download

The Windows Media Center TV guide stopped downoading automatically. When I try to load it manually nothing happens at all.  The Guide is now Virgin complelety (each channel does say "No data found") so I can't save this upcoing view shows, nothing.

    I found the answer here:

    http://social.technet.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/w7itpromedia/thread/e123068e-8ac4-4e37-AF97-691b408582a6

    In particular, follow these steps:

This happens because the mcupdate.exe process, downloading tv setup data, is not active which should have run automatically during the installation of the tv. So make a shortcut on the desktop with this path "C:\Windows\ehome\mcupdate.exe-manuel - nogc Pei" and run it. Everything will be fine.

Have lost the TV Program Guide in Windows Media Center (clock on PC can not also follow GMT... dunno if they are connected). Have messed around with all the settings, but can't seem to recover these items.

    Hi Liljools,

    1. When did you start to question?

    2. you remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?

    3. When was the last time that the clock was followed by time?

  • Windows Media Center Scheduler service is not running, even when the value of autostart

I had some trouble recently getting Windows Media Center to record programs. I did some research and found that Windows Media Center (ehSched) Scheduler Service does not start when I start my computer.
It IS configured to start automatically.
When I found that the service has not been started, I have manually started, but would find it himself quit again a few minutes later.
It of very frustrating and resulted in missing the scheduled recordings.
The only way to save that program is open the WMC and actually watching the program for the duration of the scheduled recording. (Not good if I'm not home!)

I am running Windows 7 32 bit SP1 on a laptop of Toshiba Satellite A500.

    Help, please!

    Hi the Flomsat,

I would say looking at the following thread because it's a question similar to yours:

I tried all the solutions on this thread. None was able to solve my problem.

However, I found a fix that MAY have worked (it's only 1 day but so far it looks promising).

    Open Windows Media Center,

Click on settings-> General-> optimization-> uncheck to "perform an optimization. I never noticed an increase in performance and reliability with it turns out, in fact, now that I think about it, when I turned it on, my Scheduler service started having these problems. It must be able to close the Scheduler to 'optimize '...

    UPDATE *.
    It did NOT work

I had to reinstall windows to get it working again :(
