The revenue situation after a few hours with the computer set up to show off the coast.

I eventually followed to false by default enabled at startup to the top inside.  The system kept giving the speaker type tape recorder as a default instead of the Realtech High Definition Audio speaker.  I disabled the Sound Recorder Tap enclosure and everything is going well.

Hope this helps someone else who has a similar problem.

My thanks to two responses, I have not used msconfig for centuries.  We get the habit of kicking a computer around these days.  Oh for the days of MSDOS!

    Hello

You will remember to do recent changes on your computer before this problem?
Disabling Mcupdate.exe scheduled task has allowed little to resolve this issue. You can also try turning it off and check for the issue.
Method 1: Disabling Mcupdate.exe scheduled task.
    1. click on start.
    2. in the search box, type Task Scheduler.
    3. under programs, click Task Scheduler.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.
    4. in the navigation pane, expand Task Scheduler Library, expand Microsoft, expand Windows and then click on Media Center.
    5. in the details pane, right-click right mcupdate and then click on disable.

Method 2: Rebuild the Media Center data store and see if that can solve the problem. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. exit any running instance of Windows Media Center.
    b. remove the mcepg2 - 0.db file. By default, this file is located in the following location:
    %SystemDrive%\ProgramData\Microsoft\eHome\mcepg2-0.DB
To remove the file, follow these steps:
    i. click on start, type % systemdrive%\programdata\microsoft\ehome, and then press ENTER.
II. in the details, click pane right mcepg2 - 0.db and then click on remove.
III. click Yes to confirm that you want to move the file mcepg2 - 0.db to the trash.
This file will be automatically created once you restart windows media center.
    I hope this helps.

  • Windows Media Center "to listen or look at a conflict"... does not recognize the TV tuner

I have completely exhausted the forum Windows Media Center for response to the resolution of this problem. I replaced my unit ATI TV Wonder Digital Cable Ready, as well as my graphics card tuner, and WMC still says 'No TV Tuner Found"and the message" listen or look at a conflict - no tuner available to meet the current demand "when I try to watch live TV. I have also a "no tuner hardware detected... Please ensure equipment is installed correctly...» "if I try to set up the TV Tuner again.

I don't think that my answer lies in Windows Media Center or hardware from ATI. I'm now trying to figure out if it involves this feature installed at the factory of HP listed on the bottom of my computer: "GENUINE WINDOWS VISTA HOME Premium TUNER DIGITAL". I understand that it is the software and hardware.

I would be grateful if anyone has answers. If anyone knows what this function is that was installed at the factory, and how I can uninstall and reinstall the software and replace the hardware, I understand that too.

    Thank you

After unsuccessfully trying everything I could find that had the potential to solve my problem, I finally solved the problem myself.

It's actually a corrupted Windows file that allows my TV tuner, which caused all my problems. I reinstalled my Vista operating system to its original state, and now the ATI TV tuner works fine. Easier said than done.
