Windows Media Player is missing, cannot download.

Basically what the title says. Recently, I noticed that my Windows Media Player just got up and disappeared. I do not uninstall or something, just went to use it and it wasn't there. I never thought No biggy just download. Hey well im running Windows 7 Home Premium (came with computer OE) and cannot run the "Update" for 12 and can not install WMP11.

Any help would be appreciated.

At WMP12 deactivated (off) in http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Turn-Windows-features-on-or-off ?

If "OE" means Outlook Express, it came NOT with the computer. ~ Robear Dyer (PA Bear) ~ MS MVP (that is to say, mail, security, Windows & Update Services) since 2002 ~ WARNING: MS MVPs represent or work for Microsoft

  • Windows media player will not play download i-player with mp4 suffix bbc

I downloaded a program from the bbc I have-Reader so that I was in England. The progamme is indicated as being downloaded on bbc I = site of player with an expiration date in the future.  the file is displayed in my library under my videos as p01fcz2k_b039ftbm_1377518019380.mp4. I tried to read in windows media player, but it does not open and an error message is displayed as follows: "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The player might not support the file type or does not support the codec used to compress the file. »

How to play? I'm no longer in the United Kingdom.

You can try the following solutions:

    1. try to rename the file to a maximum of 8 characters and check.
    2. try playing the file with any other media players like VLC. Because Windows Media Player does not have the maximum number of codecs. The question can also be with the file/codec.

  • Window Media Player - print playlist / cannot burn CD playback.

I use Window Media Player-how can I print a playlist I created. I can't copy in MS Word for example. Also when I burn a CD, it will play on my computer but not my home CD Player - how do I fix this? Thank you

    Hello

Step 1: To print a list of created play in Media Player, you will need to use a third party software. Online search using your favorite search engine to get it.

DISCLAIMER of THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE: Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

Step 2: If you burn a disc of data with music files and does not have in your mobile, home, or car CD player, check the following:

    ·          Your CD player may not support playback of CD or data DVD discs. Refer to the documentation for the CD Player for more details.

    ·          The CD can be burned to media, such as CD - RW, which is not compatible with the CD player. Refer to the documentation for the CD Player for more details.

    ·          Your CD player may not support playback of the type of music files burned on the disc (WMA or MP3). Refer to the documentation for the CD Player for more details.

    ·          The songs may be protected by copyrights. Other computers may be able to acquire usage rights and play the songs if they have a connection to the Internet, but devices such as radio cars and portable CD players will not be able to acquire these rights, so protected content will be unplayable.

    ·          The CD cannot have been closed when it burned. You can usually solve this problem by adding more songs to the burn list, then you are close to the maximum capacity of the CD. Then, try to burn the list again for a new CD.

    Hello

    1. you have service pack 1 installed update?

    2. have you tried to install the update with run as administrator?

    Method 1.

Verify that the copy of Windows is genuine, here: http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate/ValidationResult.aspx?displaylang=en&PageName=validate

Once validation is complete, restart the computer and try to install the update once more.

    Method 2.

If service pack 1 is not installed, you must install service pack 1, and then try to install this update.

Learn how to install Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1): http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/install-windows-7-service-pack-1

With SP1, you must package KB968211 update from: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=16546.

My Windows Media Player recently stopped playing downloads from Amazon. I've never had this problem before.
