  You can open the administrator and check if you can update or open the media player.

  If the problem persists, try the following steps:
  a. download and run Microsoft fix this article (the same article can be followed when you get access denied error during installation)
  b. Once you have run the hotfix, restart the computer.
  c. install Windows Media Player 11 and check the result.

In WMP, when I click on organize > manage libraries > music and delete the folder music and select only the folder that contains the music I own, all my music disappears from my Zune software. When I go to manage Zune monitors records and I select the subscription folder that contains all of the DRM tracks, it fills again in WMP.
  How do I separate them so that WMP shows only the music, I am owner and Zune software displays both or simply DRM content?

  Thanks for your reply, but it is WAAAY too complicated. What I did was to create a new folder and stored all the songs I have in there, and under the music tab added view > folders and now I just click on that particular folder to see all my purchased music. Initially, I tried, I tried (in the form of library) view > protected would be to click on it to show not protected, but I found that I had to do every time I open WMP. The creation of this new folder is much easier.

  4. click on: choose [default] program.

  Open Windows Media Player > click on 'Tools' > select 'Options' > select "Devices".

  For the good CD/DVD drive, select "Properties".

  Make sure that you have selected digital in both boxes
