  I had this problem for months, it was really making me nervous. But I've sorted it.

  The problem was in pictures, corrupted files, not wmp or music that I assumed that would be the question.

  Heal... GB of photos and video. I had some files that had no picture. These are the corrupted files that were the cause of the problem. I had 8 photos and 2 videos that I downloaded on my iPhone 5. I just don't understand how or why it happened. Not a clue.

  Even removing them was difficult, as I went to remove WMP shutdown.

  So I google and download "File Assassin" work all works fine now.

  I curse me Microsoft WMP, but Apple has been the cause of the problem.

  Good luck, WMP is so much better than ITunes.

  If it works let me know. I just would like to know if it helps someone.

Program scanner and photo used to transfer my photos printed digitally on a dvd are trademarks of Hewlett-Packard.  Contact the center of the photo, but they could not provide me with any guidance or even particular HP photo program they used to create the dvd picture.  I remember the photos were stored on the dvd in JPEG format picture and was able to open by Windows Explorer before I've updated since WMP 10-11.

  Looks like you have a data dvd, which has just the pictures on it and it will not be seen by WMP, who needs a dvd-video disc.

  It should always open in windows Explorer and you should be able to see your pictues it.
