Windows Media Player reconnection happens almost every minute and deadly it fail to reconnect each time (Ask again)

I already asked this question and someone responsed quickly by asking for more information. I answered that he asked but get no response for several days, so I think that a new question may get more attention. Here is my question and my further response, pls help again.

Question:

When I open an rtsp: / / * stream, it can be opened, after no more than a minute, the flow has stopped, status displays 'Attempt to reconnect', after a while, text dialog box, said something like "cannot perform the action", and then disconnects the flow. I can click the "play" button to connect successfully, and then the same thing above occurs, once and once again.

My response inline:

·         The streaming works fine outside Windows Media Player?

I don't have another player who can play rtsp install

·         Which antivirus program is installed on the computer?

Symantec Norton, the issue occur also when I turn off Norton.

·         If it works much earlier?

No, never

Method 1: Temporarily disable the antivirus on the computer program and check if it helps. If it works, you may need to check the settings of the program.

This did not help, problem that happened to be the same

Method 2: Check if the following is useful. (disable UDP)

This did not help also. I tried method1 + methode2, it does not work too.

    Hello

The real question is how the 90 minute discs work well.

If your Player supports, then WMP should also play (assuming that the information are written
    in the standard formats).

Where can I find the new 90 minute CD - R discs? Why were they previously unavailable?

Why windows media player is not reading my DVD, and how do I install the windows media player decoder using my disk of windows XP Professional

FWIW... Win XP cannot natively recognize Commercial
DVD video... it requires a DVD decoder. And... He
is not a DVD decoder on your Win XP Pro drive.

If you could play before commercial video DVD...
do a system restore to a time before this started
    may be your solution.

Or you could buy a DVD decoder at the following link:

  • Windows 7 - Windows Media Player 12 blocks almost everytime

    Hello

Almost everytime I open Windows Media Player 12, it crashes. Usually, the window opens but is grey and the cursor indicates that it is busy.

I tried the following two methods to fix the problem.

    Method 1.
    1. click on start and in the search bar type cmd.exe
    2. right click on cmd.exe and click Run as administrator
    3. in the command prompt, type the following command

net localgroup "Administrators'" NT Authority\Local Service "/ Add 4. press on enter and restart the computer

    Method 2.
Uninstalling and reinstalling Windows Media Player:

    Step 1.
    Uninstalling Windows Media Player:
    1. go to start and in the search type "Turn Windows willing or not.
    2. click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
    3. search for multimedia and uncheck the brand in the face of Windows Media Player.
    4 restart the computer

    Step 2.
    Reinstall Windows Media Player:
    1. go to start and in the search type "Turn Windows willing or not.
    2. click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
    3. find the multimedia functions and place a check mark in front of the Windows Media Player.
    4 restart the computer.

Method 2 resolves the issue. However, it got to the point where WMP 12 is useless because almost everytime, it blocks and I'm not ready to have to restart my PC twice in order to watch a video or listen to music.

Come on Microsoft - please get your this sort and give us a proper and permanent solution to the problem of 7/WMP 12 inherant Windows.

    Kind regards

    Jonesyboi

I had this problem for months, it was really making me nervous. But I've sorted it.

The problem was in pictures, corrupted files, not wmp or music that I assumed that would be the question.

Heal... GB of photos and video. I had some files that had no picture. These are the corrupted files that were the cause of the problem. I had 8 photos and 2 videos that I downloaded on my iPhone 5. I just don't understand how or why it happened. Not a clue.

Even removing them was difficult, as I went to remove WMP shutdown.

So I google and download "File Assassin" work all works fine now.

I curse me Microsoft WMP, but Apple has been the cause of the problem.

Good luck, WMP is so much better than ITunes.

If it works let me know. I just would like to know if it helps someone.

  • Windows Media Player does not update album art and album info.

I have a desktop HP Envy h8 - 1417c 64 bit PC and I've recently updated to 8.1 of Windows (from Windows 8 - entered loaded on the PC). After the update, Windows Media Player still works fine, but it doesn't accept new information when I try to extract one of my new CDs to the library of music and album art. It search in the internet and search the correct art and information, but when you click on accept, nothing happens. CD selections simply remain blank. I can still see the info from old files and art (before the update), so I know he kept what was already ripped. I also have a vague called music editing software yet (which works with Windows 8), and he finds no more album. Also, I loaded iTunes and have no problem to find illustrations of album and info with this program. Is there something that I am missing? I can't find anyone having this same problem on the internet. Thank you.

I had to go into Admin/service and change the Startup Type to disabled for:

    • Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service

I tried setting services to manual, but Windows Media Player has yet caught all the CPU and memory, he could then I disabled all the.

I do not know how to disable homegroup and Windows Media Player services work together so I wonder if everything is always operate has designed with the homegroup and sharing my music.

    Hello

I think this explains the problem.  The 2 entries here should be deleted, because the first will try to index all of your user profile and the second will attempt to index all of the Windows Partition.

    C:\Users\Rick

    C:\

To remove them, click to the left of the entrance, highlight it, and then click Remove.  When these two entries have been removed, reboot the laptop and you should find that the problem has been resolved.

    1. Windows Media Player 10 has opened a photo successfully dvd but a message "Microsoft has encountered a problem and needs to close" came on the screen several times.  Had to re insert the dvd picture, but it would open again each time.
    2. Tried the cd drivers and troubleshooting dvd and was informed of my dvd could not be played because there was no decoder for dvd.  Following instructions and chose a windows xp approved decoder pack download - dvd has chosen the Roxio CinePlayer DVD Decoder Pack.
    3. Then upgraded the media player to Windows Media Player 11.
    4. After that, dvd and cd rom could be opened by the media player 11, but neither the DVD or cd ROM readers would recognize the photo DVD in question had been inserted into one of these discs, and even less to be opened by the media player.
    5. "" I remember well, the pictures are stored on the dvd in JPEG format picture and was able to open by Windows Explorer before I've updated since WMP 10-11 ""

Looks like you have a data dvd, which has just the pictures on it and it will not be seen by WMP, who needs a dvd-video disc.

It should always open in windows Explorer and you should be able to see your pictues it.
