Windows Media Player starts with an error

When I try to start Windows Media Player, I get an error box message "an application error internal that has occurred. Someone has a possible solution.

Hi Paul,.

You don ' say what version of WMP you currently have, but I strongly recommend to install the latest version from the Microsoft web site. It is possible that your current version is corrupt somehow.

    Hi Maurice.

    1. What do you mean when you say no updated with the latest version for windows xp?

    2. what version of Windows media player is installed on the system?

    3. you receive this error code when updating the media player to a higher version or trying to open the media player?

Error code 80070005 means generally that you're not quite allowed to iperform the task.

You can open the administrator and check if you can update or open the media player.

If the problem persists, try the following steps:
    a. download and run Microsoft fix this article (the same article can be followed when you get access denied error during installation)
    b. Once you have run the hotfix, restart the computer.
    c. install Windows Media Player 11 and check the result.

Note: Running Microsoft Fix that it the article will reset the registry and the file permissions.

  • Windows Media Player will not play error of MTS files that your computer works at low memory. Quit other programs, and then try again

I am running Windows 7, 64 bit, home premium on a Dell Studio 1558 with an ATI Mobility Radeon HD4500-5100 graphics card and an Intel Core i3. It has 4 GB of RAM.

When I try to read files MTS using Windows Media Player I get the error message "your computer is low on memory. Quit other programs, and then try again,"even with no other programs running. Windows Media Player will play other types of video files without difficulty.

Any suggestions as to what can be the cause of the problem and how to fix?

    TBH I'm not sure.

All I can say is on my desk, I have not loaded a pack of codecs only support of any kind and WMP12 plays my MTS files very well. Supported by this statement in Windows Media Player 12 is also capable of playing AVCHD formats (. ) M2ts et . MTS ). [13]" from - http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Media_Player and the fact that in WMP12 - "Media files (all types)" MTS has listed as an acceptable format.

My office has an AMD/ATI HD5670, and like I said seems to play.

    1. Have you tried to run a full anti-recent virus scan? If this isn't the case, update your antivirus program and run a scan full to see if it finds problems.
    2. Then try a sfc/scannow scan to see if it detects and fixes something.
    3. Just checked, you have installed WMP12? (it should be, but just a double check).

    Hello

I recently haven't been able to burn a CD with Windows Media Player (he worked last week, but not now). I get an error message "Windows Media Player cannot find the file. The link between the library item and its digital media file associated with may be broken. "Try to fix the link or delete the item. There is a web help option which says that to fix a link, you click on the blue icon next to the item, then click "Browse this article. But the only icon I see is a little blue triangle next to individual songs in the library pane or list, there is no icon next to the name of the playlist. Although the click with the right button on the blue triangle gives me a few options, "Browse this point" is not one of them. Does anyone have any ideas what is wrong and how can I sort it please!

  • Windows Media Player starts to play the CD/DVD (in any tab) with AutoPlay disabled

On any tab, Windows Media Player 11 (WMP11) starts automatically play a CD/DVD when inserted.  Regardless it's 'Take no Action' set for each media or device on the AutoPlay control panel.  The OS is Vista Ultimate 64-bit.  The only modification or plug-in is Windows Live Messenger Music Plug-in that has been disabled.

Steps to reproduce (in the tab extract)

    1. The default value for all devices and media types 'take no Action' (via Control Panel)
    2. Open WMP11
    3. Change to tab extract, click on the drop down arrow
    4. Make sure that "Never" is selected under ' Rip CD when inserted automatically "
    5. Insert an audio CD
    6. You will notice that WMP11 won't start Ripper but starts to play

This isn't the desired system response.  I want the player to display the information of the album but not start playing.  Currently, I have to manually stop CD/DVD every time.  This behavior produces on each tab not only the tab extract.  However, this behavior does not occur if I play any format of media when you insert a CD/DVD.

I have a number of albums with information that WMP does not reflect accurately or replaced with incorrect catalog data.  Before the tear, I want to fix the information.

To be clear, what follows has already been done and checked:

    1. Go to the control panel
    2. Select "Hardware and sound"
    3. Select 'AutoPlay'
    4. Make sure "AutoPlay for all media and devices use" is checked
    5. Select 'take no Action' for each item listed
    6. Select 'Save'

Please try my instructions in the following thread:

They are for Windows 7, but I just checked that they work too for Vista.

  • Windows Media Player does not not error is... C:\windows\system32\dbghelp.dll

tried to reinstall, restore, restore, deletion and microsoft fix what I can think

    Hello

    • What were the changes made before the problem occurred?
    • What is the exact error message that you receive?
    • This occurs only with Windows media player?
    You can view these methods:
    Method 1:

You can try to run a SFC scan to check all corrupted files.

You can read the following article to launch the SFC scan:

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Method 2:

I recommend you perform the clean boot.

Configuration of your system in a clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

See the following article in the Microsoft KB for more information on how to solve a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

    Method 3:

You can also check out the following link and try to download the Microsoft Safety Scanner and perform a full scan on your computer.

    Microsoft safety scanner

Note: When you perform the analysis, there are risks of data loss you can take a backup of important data before performing analysis.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Windows Media Player starts late

Hi all, I'm having a problem with Windows Media Player. When I start Windows Media Player, my computer starts just lagging out. As in everything which is open will show "Not responding" to the Summit. I figured out it just Windows Media player does. Like right now, I ask this question, Windows Media Player has been arrested. No lag whatsoever. Thank you.

    Hello

    a. you get a specific error message?

Let us try the following methods one by one and check if they help in the successful launch of Windows Media Player.

    Method 1.
I would recommend you to rebuild the database of Windows Media Player and see if the problem is resolved.

    Here's how:
To resolve this problem, delete the Windows Media Player database. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. exit Windows Media Player.
    2. click on start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.
    3. Select all the files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.
Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.
    4. restart Windows Media Player.

Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.

    Method 2.
If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files.
To do this, follow these steps:
    1. exit Windows Media Player.
    2. click on start, run, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft, and then click OK.
    3. Select the Media Player folder, and then click on Delete on the file menu.
    4. restart Windows Media Player.

    Method 3.
I also suggest you to re-record the files related to Windows Media Player.
To do this, follow the steps below:

    a. Click Start, in the start search bar type cmd, right-click on the command prompt icon in the box programs and then click Run as administrator.

    b. at the prompt type regsvr32 wmp.dll command and then press ENTER.
Type regsvr32 jscript.dll, and then press enter
Type regsvr32 vbscript.dll, and then press enter

    c. restart the computer and check if the problem is resolved.

You can also try to turn on or to turn off Media Player.
    For more information, connect to:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-Windows-features-on-or-off
