• Radio buttons with drop-down menus?

  I have created a form for the HR Department of my company, and I need a few radio buttons with dependent drop-down lists.

  In other words, I would (for example) three radio buttons. None of the drop down lists appear until one of the buttons is selected and displayed the appropriate drop-down list. Is this possible? Or is there a better way to do it? I don't want a drop down menus not selected to be available.

  I have 9 Pro for Windows and Pro X for Mac. I know almost nothing about scripts, but I know it can be done.

  I'm reworking the script MultiPageImporter2.5 by Scott Zanelli; going to add new features.

  So far, I added a drop-down list so that the user could choose which pages to put a pdf/indd file: odd/even/as well.

  

  However, I encountered a strange problem: on Windows, it works as expected, but on Mac, nothing happens when I click on the shortcut menu. When I write a dialog box, I almost always use the automatic layout and never encountered such a problem before. But in this text the author uses a fixed position for the controls so I followed his style of coding:

  Another question: in the script, the author has created three pop-up windows. In the code, each popup has a different height (the last element of the array 'limits') - 60, 88, 33. Does make sense to make them different if on the screen they are exactly the same (I mean height).

  I don't think you're doing something wrong. If you change the vertical position of the popup to 90, the popup works if you click at the top, not if you click on the bottom.

  I can't understand what is the cause. I can only select things in the active window with my mouse, I can't move the window, I can't click on anything whatsoever outside of it.

  ATM by writing this, I can not open another program or select the bar of tasks or do anything outside that window. (unless I use CTRL-ALT-DEL and force to select a new active window with my keyboard)

  Another thing is that everything works within the window, except one thing, menus drop down, I can bring up the menu drop-down but can not select anything on the menu.

  I reinstalled windows to do this same thing. I can't understand why windows doesn't let me choose some things outside my main window, it's that I'm sort of protected mode.

  -What is the brand and model of the mouse? Is it wired or wireless mouse?
  -Have you tried plugging the mouse on another computer?

  Method 3: I suggest you try to check with the other mice to make sure that the problem is not with the computer.
   

  If it is a laptop, I suggest you to check if a FN key function is to to do this. As you are facing the issue after reinstalling the operating system, I also suggest you check with the manufacturer of the computer, if there is this key.

  I have Windows 7.  I could not afford MS Office, so I downloaded OpenOffice and, later, LibreOffice.  My problem is, when I open a document to write in a program, a drop-down list (formatting) is displayed.  It starts with "Default" at the top.  The box does not work, if I click on anything that it just flashes.  Or it will disappear.  I tried everything I can think of to get rid of him.  And, as long as it's here, I can't write to a document.  I can close, but only by closing the program.

  Is this problem only with free Office programs.  Sometimes when I am looking for a program in Windows 7, or if I'm looking for the Help menu in 7.

• still problems with drop-down list fill the Script

  Well, I used the information I got this forum to fill a drop in a repeatable subform with javascript (and it even works with FormCalc) problem solved. But now when I test the script in format acrobat (with calculations) the last item on my list does not seem to be working properly. They are scripted like that on the preOpen event.

  They are all the same, and they all show during the test.   The second issue of additional items in the drop-down list is easily sorted by including a line in the preOpen to clear the list first.

  DropDownListName.clearItems ();

  This should go before the addItem script.

  This erases the existing list, before be filled again. You would tend to use addItems, where list items will change according to the previous intervention of the user with the form.

  Regarding the round total, you can do this with script (check "Round" in the help file), but it is not necessary.

  When you have the total selected object, just go to the object/field tab and click models. On the display tab, you can select a model of currency with the currency symbol, the 2 decimal and thousands separator (IF your item is a numeric field).

  I use Adobe Scrobat to create a purchase order.

  The user is prompted to enter the price of number, description, quantity and unit part.

  I set up the form so that the Total D/N will be equal to the amount of time the unit D/N. All unit D/Ns are total to give us a Total (the dealer net).

  I coded the form so that when a family (immediate and extended) type is selected from a drop-down menu, some discount will be applied to giving us a subtotal. For example, if the execution is applied, then 20% will be deducted. Even if a certain province is selected in a menu drop-down, a certain tax will be applied to calculate the subtotal, give us the Total amount. For example, if Ontario is selected then a 13% tax will be added to the order.

  The problem is that the Total will be calculated correctly that if the Province and the Types of families are selected AFTER all of the unit and the quantity D/Ns were seized.

  If gout is drowning are selected before entering the order information, the form WILL NOT be updated the total amount.

  For past several updates I asked problems with drop-down menus. 'See' on the Menu bar is an exzmple. Pnly 'Character encoding' option works correctly. Similar problem occurs in many other places including LastPass extension which I use a lot.

  An empty menu appears right without entries. But the problem is not consistent.

  Heals the problem to the menu bar of FF and other questions of FF from FF in safe mode. But I can't find which plugin or extension is causing the problem.

  Hello makatikid, try Disabling graphics hardware acceleration and check again.

  You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

  Then perform the following steps:

  1. Open the Firefox Options window as follows:
     • Click the menu button

       

       and select Options

  2. In the Options of Firefox window, click the Advanced tab, and then select general.
  3. You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
  4. Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

  In addition, please check the updates for your graphics driver by following the steps in the following knowledge base articles:

  • Troubleshoot extensions, themes, and issues of hardware acceleration to resolve common problems of Firefox
  • Update your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL

  In firefox safe mode, hardware acceleration is disable.

  The drop-down menus that are contained in a table sortable jquery act as if they are disabled. By clicking on them, doesn't matter. I can tab in the menu drop down and control it with the arrow keys, but the mouse does nothing. The menus outside of the table still work very well. This problem only occurs in Firefox 16.0.2 on several computers, all equipped with Windows 7. The problem does not occur in IE9, Chrome or Safari. In addition, the problem does not occur in Firefox 15, but it occurs in Firefox 17 Beta. I did not see anything addressing this specific issue, so I guess this isn't a known issue.

  Same problem here.
  I have w7 x 64 office services and tablet and writing are disabled.
  However, I see the shit 'hand with a pencil icon' in all the check boxes and drop down menus.
  It is not even recognizable on small boxes and is a total bore.
  I run my desktop PC with w7 x 64 for over a year and the symbol appeared after I've upgraded to IE10.

  Meanwhile, I think that I found the real cause.
  I had turned off the segue UI fonts during the day even when I updated to IE10.
  Strange as appears only in IE10 I assumed it it was due to the update.

  I'm now setting replace to

  "Segoe UI Symbol (TrueType)"="seguisym.ttf" and voila, the handwriting symbol in IE10 is gone again.

  Most likely, the images are 16-bit/channel.

  Go to Image > Mode and click on 8-bit/channel and see if that solves the problem.
