Windows Script Host script: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\IkgjGJY.vbs line: 24 Char: 1 error: permission denied Code: 800A 0046 Source: Microsoft VBScript runtime error

I do not know what causes this error but I recently installed Norton Antivirus 2010 and received this message since then.

Hello

The randomness of the name, the refused permissions and the fact that it is a file .vbs strongly suggests that the file is a virus tries to run the code that will change the set of system files. Do not allow him to run, but rather work to remove the file in question. If your Norton software cannot do, delete manually by rebooting in safe mode and delete the file from Windows Explorer. • Windows 8.1, why Thunderbird have profiles in username\appdata\local and username\appdata\roaming?

I searched online for how to find my address book and found an article that says to look in Users\username\appdata\local\thunderbird. I have not found it, I don't have to search and found in Users\username\appdata\roaming\thunderbird. Do I the Users\username\appdata\local\thunderbird directory, or is it a remnant of a previous version of Thunderbird? I would delete if I don't need.

    Background information:
When the Thunderbird program is installed it puts it here:

    • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\

or if you are using 64-bit windows, it will be here:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Thunderbird\

When you run Thunderbird, it will create a default profile, and this is where all your accounts email, address books, filters, passwords etc. are stored. Use for backup purposes.

    • C:\Users\Windows user name\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\Profile name\

Windows also creates some cache folders and files, that is stored here:

    • C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Thunderbird

These files and folders do not contain any emails etc and are not necessary for backup purposes.

You can clear the cache of Thunderbird.

What can I do to remove this pop up when I started windows?

I really appreciate the help as soon as possible.

If possible, please explain why this pop up doesn't have to run, what it does, etc.

    Thank you
    Bye,.
    Siva

The file is not on your system. There is only a registry entry that is refencing a nonexistent file. That's why you get the message.

If you disable the entry in Autoruns, Autoruns moves the registry entry to another location so that it is not used during Windows startup.

If you want to permanently delete the registry entry, right-click in Autoruns and click on delete. Or you can remove the entry from the registry using Regedit.

    Hello kate9,

Utility Windows Installer Cleanup was fired by Microsoft as it may damage other components.
I recommend that you use a 3rd software remove part or uninstall the utility to remove iTunes.

Once removed, then run the SFC/scannow Ajay suggested. If no problem found, you can then try reinstalling iTunes.

Please answer back with an update on your status.

  • Windows Script Host - cannot find the file script 'C\Users\Shootea\AppData\Local\Microsoft\CDBurning\desktop.ini '.

My laptop is upward lately since January 3, 2015 and a startup displays message - Windows Script Host cannot find script 'C:\Users\Shootea\AppData\Local\Microsoft\CDBurning\desktop.ini' file - I google a couple of information how do I get rid of it. I tried to open msconfig and then disabled under Startup in the Configuration of the system. 'Normal Start Up' is selected in the general tab slot. After I turn it off and restart my laptop the same pop-up message shows no more, but whenever I surf the net or you open an app, my phone now shuts down randomly. This is the error I get whenever I boot windows and I think it may be related to a problem I was. Most of my prefrences recorded for windows is not in working condition (as my taskbar is not able to change the settings). I have scowered the interwebs for a response, even using Google and even * shudder * Bing. My Riddle has baffled many, can someone help out me?

I have consulted the temp folder and this particular text file is not present. Maybe if I create a new one, it will work? I'm not to try it again, but if someone could confirm that I would be much happier!

I don't know any reason that Windows must be looking for a text file to start.  You can create a file in this location, but I think it would be better to use the free Windows Sysinternals Autoruns tool to find and remove the reference to the file.

The problem is, Chkdsk will not fix this, and I can't access the file. This opens up a world of problems when I need to fix this error, so I can upgrade to Windows 7. Help, please!

I just ran the scan again. He said of the errors found, but could not be repaired.

This problem actually has nothing to do with internet explorer. It's the cookies folder that is corrupt in the Windows folder in roaming. The error file is in conjunction with the programs, that I try to run (AIM, Skype, so forth). Trying to enter the folder it says it's corrupt. I don't know what is the root of the problems or how to solve this problem, but these measures have not helped so far. Regarding the repair, I will try that next.
