  • C:\Users\User_name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Flash Player\File Cache\file.vbs

Hello, I'm having a problem with a Windows Script Host error, everytime I restart my computer, a popup window saying that it is not possible to find the script file in "C:\Users\User_name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Flash Player\File Cache\file.vbs". Is it possible to fix this? Thank you in advance.

    This isn't a "adobe" file.

update your antivirus definitions, then run a full antivirus scan of your computer.

    Hello

The randomness of the name, the refused permissions and the fact that it is a file .vbs strongly suggests that the file is a virus tries to run the code that will change the set of system files. Do not allow him to run, but rather work to remove the file in question. If your Norton software cannot do, delete manually by rebooting in safe mode and delete the file from Windows Explorer. • My creative cloud LightroomCC my Presets in my pictures files and I want to change the C:\Users\Frann-Serenity\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Develop file.  I think it takes to develop, but not sure. I don't know how the Lightroom folded

I think that the presets should be installed in the C:\Users\Frann-Serenity\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom and perhaps even deeper in the folder to develop. I'm not sure because I'm a newbie at this. I have no idea how my Lightroom file put in my C:\Users\Frann-Serenity\Pictures.  I have to install Presets but cannot get to work because they land in my pictures folder.  Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

    Hi FrancieLou,

The presets are stored in images when you have an option enabled in Lightroom preferences.

So, if you do not want them to be stored in the pictures folder, you must follow the steps below:

    1. go in the Lightroom preferences > Presets tab

2 uncheck "save stations with this catalog" and click Ok.

Then, the presets would be stored in default C:\Users\UserName\Appdata\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\.

    Hello!

I have the problem with the synchronization of the base, a window telling me that "Core Sync has stoped working" keeps poping up. I tried a few solutions, but the only one I found was that I should delete some files in C:\Users\Peter\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CoreSync.

Even after doing that I have the same problem. What should I do?

  • Windows 8.1, why Thunderbird have profiles in username\appdata\local and username\appdata\roaming?

I searched online for how to find my address book and found an article that says to look in Users\username\appdata\local\thunderbird. I have not found it, I don't have to search and found in Users\username\appdata\roaming\thunderbird. Do I the Users\username\appdata\local\thunderbird directory, or is it a remnant of a previous version of Thunderbird? I would delete if I don't need.

    Background information:
When the Thunderbird program is installed it puts it here:

    • C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\

or if you are using 64-bit windows, it will be here:

    • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Thunderbird\

When you run Thunderbird, it will create a default profile, and this is where all your accounts email, address books, filters, passwords etc. are stored. Use for backup purposes.

    • C:\Users\Windows user name\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\Profile name\

Windows also creates some cache folders and files, that is stored here:

    • C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Thunderbird

These files and folders do not contain any emails etc and are not necessary for backup purposes.

You can clear the cache of Thunderbird.
    Tools > clear recent history.

    Windows uses the AppData\Local.

  • Pictures\Lightroom\Lightroom and AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom settings

    C:\Users\User Name\Pictures\Lightroom\Lightroom Settings\

    C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\

The names of some of the subfolders in these two cases are the same - Web Templates, watermarks, and more.

But on my computer, Lightroom uses a second. Why not first of all one? Could someone find the time to explain how it works? This may be important if you move to a new computer or reinstalled operating system. Thank you.

    Hi dariuszk,

Generally, the presets are stored at C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\

The other location you mentioned (Lightroom settings) stores the Lightroom presets only when you have "Presets Store with this catalog" checked in Lightroom preferences > Presets tab

  • I do not have a folder AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom.

I have a problem. A software, I uninstalled some time ago, Adware, quarantined my AppData folder any Lightroom was not installing in the AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom. Everything is in Roaming is Microsoft.

The problem is that I want to install the files of brushes and this should be the place to paste them. Is there another place or any other method. I already tried to reinstall Lightroom twice, but still, it does not create a folder \Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom.

    Any ideas?

The OS Windows and other software cannot run properly without the AppData folder and all of the subfolders under him. So, it is there. Your problem is more than likely Windows it is hidden from your view. In Control Panel select Options of folders on the view tab, check "Show readers, hidden folders and files" under hidden files and folders.

Then uncheck the "Hide files of the operating system (recommended) protected".

While your in this dialog, you can also uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types".

Now when you access your C:\Users\YourUserName username folder you should see the AppData folder.

  • file or directory C:\user\owner\appdata\roaming is corrupted and unreadable

    Hello

I tried clicking on the itunes program and got a message saying that itunes has been corrupted (c4:itunes exe file or directory C:\User\Owner\AppData\Roaming is damaged and unreadable. Please run ChkDsk utility).  It's the same thing with the Adobe 9 reader.  I tried to run the harddrive utility and he said that he could not work while the hard drive was running.  He said to plan a disk check, what will happen when the computer is restarted.  I clicked on it and then turn off the computer.  I turned it back on and nothing happened.  Then I tried to uninstall and reinstall the programs.  I was able to uninstall and reinstall Itunes, but it still doesn't work.  The Adobe 9 reader would either uninstall or installation.  Finally, I tried to restore my computer back to before I got the problem.  When I tried to restore it, he said that the local C: drive was defective and I had to make a check of the hard drive, which basically brought me back to the first step.  Is it possible to fix this or I have to take.

    Hello jortiz6,

To resolve this problem, use the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker to determine which file is causing the problem, then replace the file. To do this, follow these steps:

    1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click principally made programs, Accessories, right-click guest, and then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click allow.
    2. Type the following command and press ENTER: sfc/scannow (Yes there is a space after sfc) the sfc/scannow command analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

After the sfc scan you can scan with Malwarebytes below to ensure that your system is clean:

Try to start your system in safe mode:

    1. Restart your computer if it is running.
    2. Press and hold the F8 key for 3 seconds after your computer powers initially on.
    3. Once you see the menu Advanced Boot Options, you can stop tapping.
    4. Up/down arrow keys to highlight your selection.
    5. Select Mode safe mode with networking and press ENTER.
    6. You should see drivers loading, it may take a few moments.
    7. You should then be at the Welcome screen.
    8. Connect to your computer using an account with administrator privileges.
    9. Now, you download (free) MalwareBytes from here: http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?tag=mncol install, Update then do a scan of your system in safe mode, to ensure that it is indeed clean! Once the scan done remove anything it finds. Simply restart your PC to see if your problem has been resolved!

Hope this helps you. Let us know anyway. Make it a great day!
