original title: WINDOWS SECURITY BLOCKING E-mail

When you get that repeat request user name and password, click Cancel,
that should produce an error message. Right-click on your error message,
copy, then paste it in an answer here. We cannot do a lot of troubleshooting without
the full error message.

First, test your password to connect to the webmail of your Internet access provider.
If it works, this proves that you have the right user name and password.
A probable reason for the name of user and password fails in Windows Mail is
corruption of the account. One thing that you should try as a possible quick fix is
to remove the corrupted email account, restart Windows Mail, then
recreate this account.

If this does not she, more drastic measures should be taken.
What antivirus do you use?
At a minimum, email, scanning in the antivirus must be off.
Although maybe it's not enough to eliminate all the bad effects.
In the worst case scenario, your antivirus may need to be uninstalled.

  • How can I block certain email addresses?

How can I block certain email addresses? Is there a way to stop people or groups to send you?

Depends on what you use as an email client (Outlook, gmail, etc.). Most of the customers you will give some method of blocking people or areas of e-mail you (can be as simple as mark them as spam). Chances are you can Google your e-mail client + blocking of senders and get your answer.

    I hope this helps.

  • Replacement of my Windows Live "Reset Password" email address

I have a mailbox "Hotmail" / Windows Live which had only address one box which had been confirmed (there were two originally but the supplier goes bankrupt & I forgot to replace it). "." Now, the other suddenly stopped operation (closed for email support) & I want to replace it with a working one. However whenever I try to add a new address (or two) or add a mobile phone number, I am told to follow the link sent to the defunct address which means that I can't confirm their. I've looked everywhere to see if this problem has been solved before but cannot find anything (Bing & Google mainly). It of frustrating, but of course can suddenly become disastrous needs this address is compromised. It seems to me a problem that could be easily solved if I could get my hands on a real human Microsoft but I don't see any contact numbers/addresses anywhere. The account is a free, so I would avoid a compensation-for Microsoft call but I had to much (9) years & is accessible by PC (ie. not mobile) only

  • Windows Mail change my email address on response

I use windows mail on a vista operating system.
I have no problem someone sent an email to my email address.
The problem occurs when this person knocks 'response' to my email.
The system does not use the same email address for the response but subtly changes the address by adding a 't' in the name of the user to the address section.
Fortunately, the new address is not a valid one, and the person who tried to send me a response receives an error message that their message has not been sent.
I found the new address corrupted on my 'contacts' and I tried to remove and restore sound my correct address in my business card.
I also tried leaving the address corrupted on my contact card, but doing just the default.
Yet when you hit the response it creates my name with the address corrupt, despite this not existing address in my contacts and even when I leave it as default address not on my contact card.
Can anyone else has had this problem?
Any advice at all would be appreciated.

  • Windows Live Mail - deleting email address but want to keep his e-mails in a new email address

I change over my old email addresses (3 of them - one for friends, business, work) for 3 new, different e-mail address because I changed internet service providers.

I exported e-mails from old e-mail addresses to save to an external drive.

What I want to do is to import them into my new email addresses in the new Inbox folders where I store the correspondence.  Then it would be emails to or from an older email address, different enter one of my new folders of files of addresses in the Inbox where I separate topics/types of e-mail by e-mail.

I tested it and it seems to work.  I imported a file, who appeared in 'Storage files' as a ' imported '.  Then I selected all the emails in a specific folder (example: invoices) and moved them to a new folder called (different) email inbox "bills".  They transferred and I can access and read emails - the old and the new, and it doesn't seem to matter that the old emails have been associated with a different email address.

I just want to be sure I'm doing the right thing, or if it would have the unintended consequence of do - as I play until the file structure, etc., or do something that will cause WLM malfunction later.

Worse comes to worse, I e-mail stored on a drive for expansion, but it would be easier to have the old and new e-mail consolidated on my current WLM.

I did the right thing, or is that a no-no?  Or is there a better way?

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Nancy

It seems to me that if you do everything absolutely right. The program does not care which account a message has been sent to or-it's just a message, so you can put it in any folder you like. The only word of caution would be to allow Windows Live Mail enough time for large numbers of newly imported or - moved message index, perhaps even in working offline at the same time to minimize interference from sync/send/receive operations.

A good reason to use storage folders rather than files under one account to store messages to archive, is that when you delete an account, all its files and their content is permanently deleted. If it is not easy, it is possible to accidentally delete an account.

    Hello

    Please contact Microsoft Community.

I understand your problem and will definitely try to help you.

If you have a third-party antivirus installed, I suggest to turn it off and check if it helps.

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

I also suggest you to turn off the windows firewall and check if that helps.

To disable the windows firewall, see the following article.
Please contact us back if the problem persists.

You can try to reduce the spam at low setting, if you haven't done so already. Additionally, make sure that all of your contacts are in your Contacts or safe senders list and not on the list of senders blocked (by mistake). In addition, the parameter "email from my Windows Contacts also trust" should be checked. If this does not resolve the problem, put the filter of junk off the coast (No automatic filtering"). You would then have to rely on spam
filtering on your email provider website.
