Windows Server 2003 SP2, not bootable iso

The downloaded ISO file of TECHNET is not bootable, how can I make bootable so that I can create a virtual machine from him.  Pleae be explicit as to how I can make the ISO bootable, or, how I can use the ISO file to create a virtual withput machine it is bootable.

I just took a glance on the MSDN web site. FFL you downloaded is "Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 2 (x 86) - CD (English)" that contains only the updated SP2 files. What you should look for is a file named for example en_windows_server_2003_with_sp1_standard.iso 'Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition with SP1 (English)'.

    Hi all

Once the converter VMware-converter-en - 5.5.1 - 1682692 does not work, with a touch of friend uninstall the 5.5 version of Converter Standalone Client, look for the VMware converter version - 4.0.0 - 146302 and install this version to the other machine. No not that I had to be Converter, but the windows 7 Pro 64-bit.

After this race, the Standalone Client 4.4 Converter and everything work fine.

Now I have the P2V converted and good machine, as was the real operation!

    I thank all of you.

The installation of MSOFfice 2010 requires MSXML version 6.10.1129.0 to be installed on your computer.  Install this component and restart the installation.

Fairly straightforward error message, I have so from Microsoft Core XML Services (MSXML) 6.0 Service Pack 1 and went to install this.

Unfortunately, I encountered a problem when trying to install MSXML6.0, which is:

This installation package is not supported by this processor type, contact your product provider.

  • new PowerEdge: windows server 2003 standard r2 install problem

    Hi all

so I started with this procedure

    1. Insert the Dell Systems Build and Update Utility CD or the Dell and Documentation DVD systems management tools in the CD player.
    2. Reboot your system and boot from the CD/DVD.
    3. Select Dell Systems Build and Update Utility to go to the Dell Systems Build and Update Utility Home screen.
    4. Click the server operating system Installation.
    5. Follow the instructions step by step to set up your hardware and to install your operating system.

Now in the select list of Os, I chose windows server 2003 sp2. When I come to the part where it asks for my o/s drives, I get a "invalid" drive, and my windows install dvd is ejected.

I use our msdn 2939.3 disc titled "Windows Server 2003 R2, Standard Edition with Service Pack 2.

I tried our other msdn discs, but they no longer work.

    so I'm stuck.

All I need is to put in place the RAID-1 and windows server 2003.

Anyone who is willing to light on that?

  • Windows Server 2003 vs Windows XP

is there an advantage to run an oracle server in an operating system compared to run in a regular server window?

    for example:

    I want to install database11g.

What is the advantage of running in windows 2003 server machine intel Xeon 3065 (dual-core) and 2 GB of RAM
    compared to
Windows 2003 xp machine with processor intel core 2 duo and 2 GB of RAM?

Published by: mkdgroup on June 1st, 2010 15:00

Thin games and other windows Server 2003 is not supported then your CPU and RAM will be used more efficiently. But for a small database which is less than the size and of the transaction both the operating system will not be a problem. You can use one of them. For large databases and higher transaction server 2003 windows is better.

  • 10 GB running under LocalSystem on Windows Server 2003 account

    Hello

I have an Oracle 10 G database running on Windows Server 2003 SP2. I created the database and everything works fine, while the service is running under the local system account by default. However, when I change the user that the service is running in regards to a different account of the database starts and opens and I can log on as unreserved SYS using a connection but I'm unable to open a session any other user through the listener. The listener responds to TNSpings, and everything seems OK. When I turn it on to the local system user, yet once it all works very well.

Can anyone offer advice or assistance?

    Thank you
    Rob

It is probably because the listener is still running under the local system account. Have you tried changing the listener service runs under the same account as the Oracle service?

  • Dell Power edge 2850 will not let me install windows server 2003

    Hello

I tried to install windows server 2003 on a few servers, I received a few weeks back.  The RAID put a system in place and turned but when it tries to install WS he says that there are no hard drives.

I tried to download "server Dell Power Edge update through bootable media / ISO ' but there is no download for a 2850.

Also I tried to download this "Dell systems build and Update Utility" but most of the time it stops and says failed download...

This link is the user's guide.

    And another one

I bought a 2950 on Ebay the month last but never had the intention on the installation of a Windows operating system, but I downloaded the ISO of DVD here file and installed without any problem they send you a key to save the operating system. I updated the bios after this and no problem. You never said how many hard drives you have, but make sure that you have two or more. So far, I've installed VMWare ESXi which was supported on 2950 but I settled with XenServer 6.5.0 and I 2003 server running as a virtual machine which works very well.

I have a Dell XPS workstation I have recently reinstalled Windows 7 on it but I had only one drive is connected and the operating system could not see all of the hard drives. After that a second device and do not use raid on this machine, I was able to install Windows. I tried the ISO Live Dell 2850 version but it is not a. Which includes diagnostic tools. When you by a Dell there pre installed in a hidden partition on the disk utility, you can run, but it really isn't anything I know install that. Usually the F12 key will give you a list of items to boot from and if she isn't here the disk, it cannot run. The diagnostic utility that is.
