Windows Server Memory sharing

Hello

We are running Oracle 10 g 2 on Ms Windows 2003 x 64. Now according to:

http://download.Oracle.com/docs/HTML/B13831_01/tuning.htm

7 setting Windows to optimize the Oracle database:
7.4 configure Windows Server is an application server

Please guide how to change Windows Server memory to the model of network applications?

Thank you to

As it says, see the documentation for the operating system.

For example http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc728171.aspx
This will take care of you the underlying parameters. There is therefore no need to hack the registry.

Edited the link.

  • Windows Server 2008 clustering

I'm testing Windows Server 2008 shared help cluster on an IBM SAN ds4500 storage. Two RAW LUNS are used as storage shared on both Windows 2008 servers. When I run a test of validation in the context of implementing a cluster I ger errors on validation of the disc. So no disks are found which are suitable for the Server 2008 clustering. The error in the log is:

"LSI adapter, Ultra320 SCSI 2000 series, bus type w/1020/1030 fake disk doesn't support clustering. Disk partition style is MBR. Partition of disk type is BASIC. »

If I add the same two LUN RAW for Windows Server 2003 clustering they are valid drives presnted to set the cluster.

  • Shared drive file Windows Server 2012 r2 access VERY slow

Every time I open a file that is located in a shared folder on a drive with r2 Windows Server 2012 (videos and PDF with graphics, in particular), says file takes forever to load, videos often stutter, etc.. This affects all computers connected to the field with access to these shared folders/drive. Is there any solution for this? I couldn't find one so far.

  • Windows Server 2008 - advanced sharing problems

    Hello

I maintain a small server of Windows for a laboratory on a College campus, and we currently meet a few mistakes when you share a folder called 'students '. We use advanced permissions to share the folder with the name of 'students' shared network It worked for months, but now students are no longer able to access the folder. The permissions are correct, and by another action called "students2" (pointing to the same folder on the server with the same permissions), it worked. My question is, what would cause the inaccessible original share (show on the network, but deny access) to the groups of users who need access? Thank you for your time, I look forward to your responses.

Does anyone know how to get around this problem or fix the issue fact XP and issue with Server 2012 or vice versa. I can access the server to office assistance remotely, but not shared folders which seems strange to me. I've already posted the same question on the TechNet site too since it's a server issue but I find that you can easily post there and receive no help, so that never but I find that almost every subject I posted here, someone has at least made an effort to help with your problem.

In fact, I created a user account on the server and the XP client gave them both the same user name and password and now I have full access to server shares. I have often continue to try while you wait for answers and find my own solution.

  • Windows file sharing - a lot of bandwidth is consumed on ports 137, 138, 445 domain windows server 2008

    Hello

I have observed this for a few months now on my windows Server 2008 domain (all my clients are windows 7) and it drives me crazy.  My wireless nodes #1 bandwidth consumption is taken by 'Windows file shaing' on ports 137, 138, and 445.  I tried to pull the bandwidth on these ports on all of my users wireless using the wireless controller, then the claim of the user than even a small file as 100 MB ' would take hours to download.  If windows 7 OS is too talkative, I prefer to go back to windows XP?

What is the solution of my problem, I need to have my users to upload files and at the same time be fair with my bandwidth that does all my work of nodes and servers without really hard wire.  Help please.

  • Virtual Windows Server 2012 causes to no file sharing function

I followed several tutorials on Youtube as well as teaching online and so far file sharing does not work on Windows Server 2012 which is be virtualized by VMWare ESXi 5.I don't think he would, but I want to just double check everything. Here's the message I kept getting:

  • Implementation of a virtual disk that is shared for clustering in Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition

    Hello world

I'm relatively new to Vmware, and I have no knowledge of Linux commands. Here's my problem I have Vmware Workstation 7 installed on my PC, I installed Vmware ESX 4.1 in and use Vsphere client to connect to the ESX Server. I installed 3 Virtual Machines each running Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition. The first DC1 server I set up like the DC with AD, DNS and DHCP, the other two servers called CLR-SVR-1 and/CLR-SVR-2 I have joined to the domain, but did not make them a domain controller. I want to create a 2 cluster nodes, but when I try the installation I get an error message not Quorum shared disk was found, and a second NETWORK adapter is required (although I have 2 network cards installed on the virtual machine).

I tried to use the vmkfstools to create a floppy disk, but when I turn on the virtual computer, I get an error that I have not used the thick option (I entered this command, vmkfstools thickness - a free - 1 c d G vmfs/volumes/datastore2/CLRDISK/CLR.vmdk, but it didn't work).

Can someone explain please how to do step by step to someone who knows nothing about Linux or vmware CLI commands commands?

PLEASE IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS TO YOU ALL.

Take a look at http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1004617. This KB links to documentation MSCS he for different versions of ESX. I think the last doc on 4.0 U1 should work for 4.1 as well.

  • shared folders (host: windows server 2003, ubuntu reviews)

Hi, I'm under VMware Player 3.0.1 on Windows server 2003.

I built a WM with a host-only connection, and I'm under Ubuntu 2.6.28 on it.

I want to just copy some date from the host to the host.

I created a folder on the host (windows) and I checked it in the file sharing settings in the virtual machine settings.

My problem is that I don't know where I can see this folder on my ubuntu (guest).

    Any idea?

    Thank you. Overview

Shared VMware folder do not need a network connection.

However, they are not necessary for a network connection, you can use the card AMD PCnet32 driver. But the VMware tools are highly recommended and necessary for shared VMware folder Option.

Remember to switch to standard network shares.
