  You have the screen image out to another monitor (one that is not plugged in fact).   the fastest way to stop hot keys is to remove the Hotkey Services in the Windows startup process.

  Launch msconfig, look at "Startup" and search for "00Thotkey" and "000StTHK".
  This programs are normally responsible for the service.

  After restart my Asus X55oE due to necessary updates, I got «default configure features windows.» Restoration of the changes. Do not turn off your computer. After reading several messages through other forums, I turned it and then turn again only to receive the same screen. Some of these forums say that it can take 2 hours or more because of so many updates made at the same time. I think I was trying to upgrade windows 8 for windows 8.1.

  I'm really worried about it just because I just got back this PC from ASUS and am needing to work. Can someone tell me if there are other options or make sure that it just take a while? I also read that you can actually go to the control panel > windows update > help to erase mistakes. Also, someone said that you can customize the number of updates at a time can be both.   Try the next method.

  Hold the left SHIFT key you click Shutdown to temporarily prevent hybrid boot.

  Let off the laptop computer for 10 seconds.

  Start by typing esc button permanently as soon as you press the power button (do not wait for the prompt) and see if it will access the start menu - if that is the case, select f10 to open the Bios Menu.
