I just bought a RT of Microsoft Surface 32 GB and I tried to upgrade to 8.1 Overview Windows.  The device off near the end of the installation and when I turned on this return, he cancelled the installation.

  • Windows Update blocks the wi - fi connection

So I bought a computer brand new with windows 7, bought a new card network wireless (Netgear WNA1000) downloaded the most recent available windows compatible 7 discs on a friends computer and hey! I can connect. I turned off my computer after the windows update and now my wireless connection has 'limited connectivity' which means that I can't use my network. The only answer I found to do this on my own and after countless hours on the phone with netgear and geek squad is to run a system back restore before updates are installed and NEVER turned off my computer. I know that's not good for her. Someone at - it solutions? Oh I'm running on a WEP connection.

    Try...

Cleaning the components of update on your Windows XP computer

While probably not 100% necessary-, it is probably a good idea at this time to ensure that you continue to get the updates you need.  This will help you ensure that your system update is ready to do it for you.

Download and run the MSRT tool manually:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/malwareremove/default.mspx
(Ignore the details and download the tool to download and save to your desktop, run it.)

    Reset.

Download/install the latest program Windows installation (for your operating system):
    (Windows XP 32-bit: WindowsXP-KB942288-v3 - x 86 .exe )
(Download and save it to your desktop, run it.)

    Reset.

    and...

Download the latest version of Windows Update (x 86) agent here:
    http://go.Microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=91237
... and save it to the root of your C:\ drive. After you register on the root of the C:\ drive, follow these steps:

Close all Internet Explorer Windows and other applications.

    AutoScan--> RUN and type:
    %SystemDrive%\windowsupdateagent30-x86.exe /WUFORCE
    --> Click OK.

(If asked, select 'Run'). --> Click on NEXT--> select 'I agree' and click NEXT--> where he completed the installation, click "Finish"...

  • Windows Update blocked on "check for Updates".

I'm trying to update Windows 7 Ultimate after installation.  Just to note, I have updated through Windows Update a few times.  After one of the patches, it seems now that the update crashes just on ' check for Updates '.  I never had problems or errors during installation or during the updates installed.

I made all the corrections here, with no luck:

I have no problem with internet connectivity, nor do I have problems with the updater does not not before some updates that have been installed.  Can anyone suggest what is happening here and how to fix it?

    SUCCESS FINALLY!

I have installed KB3102810, restarted the computer, Windows Update started and he found 233 updates. Wow!.

The first 45 minutes of the update, it seemed that nothing was downloading, but I could see the hard drive activity light flashes, so I guessed something was going on. After about 50 minutes, started the first download.

After that, it took about seven hours to download and install all updates.

But finally it's finished, and after a restart, it instaedll a bit more updated and started on the desktop.

The first thing I did was to backup with Acronis True Image.

I'm so happy to be finally done chasing my tail with this problem. I drives me crazy to know that Microsoft is not doing anything on this problem. I lost too much of my time trying to fix this problem. I've never had a problem like this before.

But everything is good now. I hope that others can solve this problem, as I did.

  • My Dell Latitude Tablet is stuck on 'Failure to configure Windows updates from reinstatement of changes' (Windows 8)

It was stuck on this during about 3 hours and I desperately need to use... It is essentially new from today, as I had mail. I really don't understand why this is happening and I can't find a way to fix.

From what Ive seen in similar forums, that I'll post things that do not work in my situation.

Honestly, I'm so frustrated because I both want and need to use it for school... I don't have the time and money to run around to try to find a larger USB... at least not for a few days or a week. If no indication as to what is wrong and all the other options would be very appreciated.

    What should I do?

The operating system is windows 8.1

The system should be able to launch an auto repair.

First you must do a full stop down to Win 8.1 as described in this document:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB2B03EY0002R01.htm

After that, you must restart the laptop... Usually the system would start an auto repair procedure that should solve the problem of update.
