Hello everyone I'm starting to rebuild a computer acer laptop, I already have an OEM windows vista business CD I was wondering if there is a way to buy windows vista business product key without having to buy a new drive, I don't want to use crack to get windows vista professional and I can't find a Vista home basic oem disk for the laptop and I reallly cant afford to spend a lot of money to get a new drive for the laptop, I like windows vista professional, his safety is good since I use this laptop for my friends business and security of the files is important and this laptop supports windows aero and I do not see why need vista windows basic and in any case the main basic tone of oem vista on the laptop is on door of travel
Hi Dawn Berlitz,
If you have the copy of Windows Vista Business OEM of Acer, then you can contact Acer and see if they can provide you with a new product key.
Check the link for Acer support.

Windows Vista HomePremuim OEM - Key not work
recently my computer sony laptop hard drive broke, so I change the new one and then install oem Windows Vista HomePremuim but after I can not active there. My oem key comes from the sony laptop. He says "the product key you entered dose does not seem to be a valid windows vata" product key. now, I can only 30 days trial. only 28 days left. need help please.
How did you install Vista? If you have used a dvd recovery then it shouldn't require the entry of a product key. If you are being invited to activate it, you can activate using the 25 character product key printed on the label at the bottom of the laptop or, in models later in the battery compartment. Make sure that you do not enter a B for an 8, etc. I suggest to use a magnifying glass and a bright light to make sure that you read the characters correctly.
If it's a standard dvd of Windows, where did find the product key? If it's a retail dvd, you must use one on the label on the dvd case.

Product key OEM Windows Vista Business on Precision 490
Just bought a Dell Precision 490. It comes with 32-bit Windows 7 HP... The product key for Windows 7 is on the case. With this key, there is a Microsoft Windows Vista Business OEM key. My first question is how do I know if it is a key of 32 or 64-bit of Windows Vista? Or can be used for either (it does not specify the key). My second question is how properly to reinstall Windows Vista. I noticed there are a lot of different people who sell different restart/reinstall/repair disk. Thank you.
Windows OEM product keys can be used to install either 32-bit or 64-bit.
You can ask Dell support (if in the United States, and after a "transfer of property") or use a disc from another system that corresponds to the version of that license is for (Home, Ultimate, etc.):
support.Dell.com/.../backupcd_form
You can use Retail media, then activate by phone from Microsoft (not Dell) using your product key:
Just boot on the Windows DVD, delete all partitions that are shown to you, then call install... you will have to install drivers after Windows is installed, but you can ask that once Windows is on.
You must also determine if you have a RAID controller that requires special drivers during installation. The 490 could use a PERC or SAS RAID 5 card. You can check the box to see where the disks are wired to and/or check during POST to see if you have a CTRL-C or a prompt CTRL-R, while the loading devices.

Activation of WINDOWS VISTA oem with another oem drive?
HI I have a computer with windows vista business on that key. Apparently, I do not have the original OEM drive but I have a dell windows vista Enterprise drive. the product to activate my acer desktop computer?Hello
A manufacturer of recovery disc is designed for a particular brand and computer model; they are not interchangeable.
Here is the link to order the Acer recovery disks:
And if the Acer never included a drive to purchase, you should have a recovery Partition on your hard disk to reinstall Vista to how it was when new.
With an Acer, you press Alt + F10 at startup to start the process of recovery back to new condition.

Product key bad for the wrong version?
Hello
Recently the computer in business inherited from a friend, very fast and very good. Regardless of the operating system no - geniue, is with Vista Business, while the thumbnail of authentication is Vista Ultimate. I took a screenshot of what it says when I put Vista Ultimate product key: (it does not appear if you are unable to use it: P)
http://S13.PostImage.org/57nfn5pqv/vistareg.jpg
He said: "the product key you entered will not work with this edition of Windows Vista. You must run the Windows Vista Setup program or enter a Windows Vista Business product key."
How would the installation of Windows Vista? My files would still be there when you need him? My drivers would still exist? No matter what to get deleted or become unusable? He would return to SP1? Any response is welcome.
You can order form of the manufacturer's recovery media.
The reason why the system as non-authentique shows currently is using a license in Volume KMS - these licenses must be re-activated at least every 6 months by connecting to the KMS user license activation server.
It will require a reformat and reinstall whatever you do, unless you can connect to the KMS - Volume media server cannot be upgraded under normal conditions.

Have the product key, but need to install media for Windows Vista Business
I have the windows key, but need to download Windows Vista Business. Where can I find? I do to decompress the ISO?
* original title - I have the windows key, but you need to download Windows Vista Business. Where can I find? I do to decompress the ISO? *
Hello
There is no free and legal Vista download
Here are the different ways to reinstall vista:
Contact the computer manufacturer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it
they do it for a nominal cost of $
also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought
you would normally press F10 or F11 or Alt + F10, 0 at startup to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer
Ask them of the exact key sequence
or borrow a microsoft dvd vista
Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer
they contain all versions of vista
This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed
Save all data, because it will be lost, do the above

PC with Windows Vista Business OEMAct COA of second hand
Hello
I just bought a PC that has a Microsoft COA license sticker attached to it for "Windows Vista Business OEMAct" of second hand. It came without a HARD drive, so I installed my own and want to make sure that the key on the PC is still valid? If I can get my hands on a Vista disk, probably, I can install windows with this key and everything will be fine? The question I have, is that I can then upgrade to Windows 8 for the $39,99 deal? I don't see why not?Hello
You must use the key to see if it is still valid. There is no public list kept.
Hadou no reason why it would not be valid as long as you can not transfer OEM licenses which they were installed on the original machine.
You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.
They should do this for a small fee.
Some manufacturers have more available Vista recovery disks.
If this happens, you may need to try this instead:
You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.
Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.
And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs

Windows Vista Edition upgrade Home Premium Windows Vista Business
Hello
I recently bought a HP Pavilion dv6 1199EE laptop and it has a version of Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2 system Type 32 bit installed.
Now, I want this transition to Windows Vista Business full Edition without formatting & reinstall OS because I don't want to lose the features & programs came with the lap top. I would buy the Windows Vista Professional with the product key on the local market in my country.
First of all, I want your advice what is the best Vista professional should I buy?
Second, what are the professional measures to update without formatting the hard drive of my laptop?
Concerning
Mr. Sayadi
You cannot upgrade Vista Home Premium to Vista Business.
It is not a Vista upgrade path.
You have clean installation, back up ALL your data and reinstall all the programs.
Upgrade paths:
-of Vista Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate.
-from Vista Home Premium to Ultimate.
-from Vista Business to UltimateAnd there's no. Vista Business Ultimate version.
You will need to purchase a full version of Vista Business and do a clean install.
OR buy a Vista Ultimate upgrade version and do a upgrade.
If you do an upgrade to Vista Ultimate, it SHOULD be with a 32-bit Ultimate Upgrade disk.
There is only a single company of Vista, but you can buy the full version 32 bit or 64 bit OS and do a clean install...
All depends on the amount of RAM for the need to use.

And by the way, just to give you a head I'm just a beginner and badly needs help. the problem I had is I get a strong signal for my WiFi, but again it is not connect to the internet it connects sometimes but then after I reboot my phone it comes back with the same problem, it connects to the internet, but I detect my network, someone told me to just reformat the entire system. I hope someone can give me a help step by step on how to do it. and also I do not see the product key for my system. your help would be greatly appreciated thanks

Hello
Formatting/reinstalling is overkill. A bit like buying a new car because you have a flat tire.
To reinstall, you can use either the volume of recovery or the recovery disc, both should work pretty much the same. In general, the product key is located on the system like a sticker (on laptops usually on the bottom). If you can't find yours, you should contact the provider or your network administrator (and in fact, if there is a working system, you should contact them before doing anything).
Before you do this right, you can try this: click Start and type CMD. Right click on the menu entry that appears and choose "Run as Administrator". Click on continue in the UAC prompt. From the command line, run:
ipconfig/release
ipconfig/flushdns
ipconfig / renew
Allow everyone to finish (return to the command line) before proceeding to the next. When you are finished, close the command prompt. See if that helps with your problems of connection.

Activation of Windows Vista Business
I bought my Windows Vista Business CD of Saudi Arabia in 2007 and then installed in my laptop. Since then, I have no problem what so ever. Last month, I had replaced my HARD drive for laptop with a potential greater than 500 GB and 2.5 GB memory. Since 2 weeks I started to receive a box Flash asking me to activate my Windows Vista Busines, but once I put my product key, that he had been rejected as this key is used by another computer. Indeed, it is zero using this key next to me & Windows Vista Business has been installed in this laptop only without sharing. Until today, I can't use my laptop at all. Why is this happening & how to solve the problem? Please answer me as soon as POSSIBLE. B RGDS
