Windows Vista is not displayed the photos. (Windows 7 is not do it either)

I have several computers... recently one with windows 7.
Now, I had YEARS of problems with Vista. A simple problem is the fact that he was NEVER able to use the thumbnail view is worth a _____.

I recently bought another computer with Windows 7... SAME problem.

I studied this during more than a year, and the responses of primariy are 'files migh be corrupt'... is not... or "go to organize, search of the view tab, make sure that the box to ALWAYS DISPLAY the ICONS, NEVER of MINIATURES is not verified...". UH Yes, ok Microsoft is not... not working anymore... or you not listen thousnads who share this same problem.

My question is simple...

This can be corrected?

Microsoft took over 2 years to fix this simple function (worked like a Swiss clock with XP), and it seems that they just brought with windows 7.

I have to laugh at the new Microsoft commercial, they say that people wanted just "something simple." I would like to just something to work properly. Please tell me that's not too ask.

It may be too much trouble to this instance.

The solution that you listed is the only solution that I don't know about this problem (and it apparently does not for you if it worked for others).  I have 32 bit Vista Business SP2 and do not have this problem (or if I've never had this problem with Vista) - maybe I got lucky.  I did nothing to "fix" - it worked fine since installation (so completely, it is not a bug of Vista because it works sometimes).

Given that the problem also exists in Windows 7 (I think that they have copied the code), I suggest that repost you this question in the Forum Windows7: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/category/windows7 where they may have found a solution that will apply to both Vista and Windows7 (but I doubt it).

  • How to display the photos so that they fill up the screen?

I have the navigation bar at the value of "fill", but I can still see the very small image:

    Dropbox - 2015-01-21 09.03.31.png screenshot

Lightroom does not really offer a way to expand the dimensions of the photo.

You can export the picture to a larger size and then discovers that full-screen, but I wonder why it is necessary. Just expansion causes pixelation and it has interpolation (in other words, make up) pixels to display. The image quality is degraded a little (or much, it depends on) when you develop a picture. It is what it is.

You may also view the photo in 2 / 1 or 3:1 but still once, this causes pixelation and for that, I don't see a good reason to do so.

More than likely that the video is a format that is not supported on your system.

Foe example... If the format is MOV, which is Apple's QuickTime format...
It may be interesting to try to download and install Apple's QuickTime Player.

You can get in trouble with your device drivers, firmware and/or software. Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get drivers (and you should do for your video card and monitor at least and all you have time to do - they can help way beyond simply solve this problem), let the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows:http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.

    Hello

    Open Windows Explorer.

    Open the pictures folder.

Right click on this file and select view. Click on one of the icon views (Small, Medium, Large, Extra large).

This should show the thumbnails of photo files.

  • See the Photos in both windows

I often move photos between albums and the duplication of the photos in different albums.

Is it possible to open two windows to display the Photos?

I had a play around with split view but cannot get pictures to sit next to another application, as opposed to two windows of Photos.

    Thank you

PHOS may open a window of the application at a time. You use the sidebar in Photos?  With the visible sidebar it's easy drag-and - drop between album.

If you invest in PowerPhotos, you can browse your library of Photos in PowerPhotos while keeping open in the Photos at the same time. It will basically give you a second window.  You can do it with the free trial version of PowerPhotos. See this link: Fat Cat Software-PowerPhotos

I use it a lot, because it can display your albums in a specified list nice with metadata view, so you can sort the photos by the size of the file or the key words in a list with metadata.

If you use iCloud photo library, you can open a second window on another device. I use this now to edit a photo book on a Mac and edit and select pictures for the book on a Mac to second. It works well, even if the project does not synchronize, but do the albums.

I'm guessing that you have downloaded pictures from your camera?

It is possible for the photos to be damaged if the camera
batteries are too low when they are downloaded.

I would try to download the photos again to another folder.
If you have an internal drive or external to use instead
connect the camera to the PC via a USB cable.

If you go to... Start / computer... the camera or media reader
must be recognized as a drive letter... you should be able to
copy and paste or drag and drop the pictures from there to a folder on
    your hard drive.

  • Windows 7, I get icons instead of photos on the photos

I have two programs 'Cricut Design Studio' and "4 D embroidery system" both of which show the program icon to the thumbnail instead of the thumbnail image itself.  I spent 4 hours on the phone with HP support yesterday (since my copy of Windows 7 is an OEM product) - they were unable to correct the problem.  I encounter this same problem on my new desk that has Windows 7 on it.  I tried all the usual bugs - eg. in folder options always unchecking "show icons not thumbnails" and both checking and unchecking "Display the file on the photos icon" - also in the control panel under advanced system, system, Advanced tab settings, settings of Preformance, make sure the 'show thumbnails instead of icons' is checked.
I have XP on my old desktop computer - program icons display the photos on the thumbnails correctly on this computer.
I can load these files on a USB stick, plug this jump in my Windows 7, and the files on the jump show thumbnails correctly.  If I transfer the files on computers with Windows 7 on them, they become icons of the program (instead of photos of the file).  In Windows 7, I have all the updates, and both programs I can't see pictures on the thumbnails have the latest updates also and are fully compatible with Windows 7.
It is a real problem for me because I work with these files (more than 10,000 of them) every day.  Many file names are numbers only, so without the pictures, I can't say which file to open.  Help, please!

The size of the icon file must be medium or large for the thumbnails to display. Small icons won't show generic thumbnail of the thw.

There must be also installed codecs to generate thumbnails for file types.

  • Which photos stay permanently in my library of Photos on my Mac, not only in the photo stream?

I just upgraded to El Capitan 10.11.6 and now tries to use the new Photos app, version 1.5. I have not activated icloud photo library on the computer or the iPhone or iPad and do not want. I would like to know what pictures, cases, will actually stay in the library of Photos on the hard drive of my computer and only be in photo stream and how to make sure than I think I am importing actually stayed there.  I took some pictures with my camera and imported using an SD card, so I guess they will stay there. I also a few iPhoto events that have been converted into pictures when I first opened my latest iPhoto photo library, so I guess they will stay there. But when I receive an email with a picture and try to save it in the mail for the pictures, it seems that in my photos and not constantly flow in the Photos. Same thing happens when I drag a photo in the Photos of the office - it doesn't seem to be there permanently, in the photo stream. I really miss the Camera Roll function that I have on my iPhone and iPad running OS 9.3.2. Anything in my film I know is permanently on the device. I fear that eventually some of the pictures I think that are permanently in the pictures library on the Mac will disappear just when my Photostream deletes. The only way I seem to be able to tell which photos are really, that he must pretend to remove one in the folder "Photos" at the top of the list in the sidebar (the one that displays the photos in Moments, etc.) and then a window pops up asking you if I want to delete the photo or if I want to delete the picture from my photo stream. To summarize, my questions are once again: How can I know which photos will stay permanently in my library of Photos on my Mac and not just be in the photo stream? And how do I get the photos that I drag or that you import pictures to remain permanently in the library of Photos on my Mac? Thanks for any help you can give.

But when I receive an email with a picture and try to save it in the mail for the pictures, it seems that in my photos and not constantly flow in the Photos.

How you save for the email to Photos?

If you ctrl - click the attachment of email and use "of exporting Photos", the photo will be imported to the Photos.

Saving Photos from other applications is a little annoying, because the pictures do not appear in the album "last import. But you will see them in moments.  Only, you nned to scroll the way back, if the date of the photo capture is old. The photos will appear in the moment for the correct capture date.  If you see the pictures in my workflow so hoto, select them, ctrl-click and use ' Show in time.

. I really miss the Camera Roll function that I have on my iPhone and iPad running OS 9.3.2. Anything in my film I know is permanently on the device.

On Photos for Mac was added permanently to your library of Photos that you see in Photos with time display, Collections, the years.

And how do I get the photos that I drag or that you import pictures to remain permanently in the library of Photos on my Mac? Thanks for any help you can give.

The pictures that you have imported this way must have been added to your photo library, or you would not see them in my photo stream.  The photo stream shows all the photos that you have recently added to the library, to transfer them to other devices.

You will find all the photos in your photo stream in Moments?  If this is not the case, there is a corruption in your library of Photos, then post back.
