OfficeJet 7500 7500: a a Driver Confusion

I can not all the functions of my Officejet 7500 has hade work. If I install the drivers from the disc that came with the printer, the printer works but the scanner app is not installed. If I download the newest driver on the website of H - p, the scanner app installs and works properly, but the printer does print not (printing just sitting in the gueue).

What I am doing wrong?

Carl Neste

Solved the problem myself. Original drivers installed, let HP Support Assistant installation updated, select "test scanner", how the application scan appeared. But there was still no icon for it on the desktop. Choose 'Properties', that display the path to the .exe file. Went there and select "create shortcut", and... He was the icon.

It all started when I installed a drive root more and reinstalled WIN7 and all my applications and drivers from scratch. I say this because when I bought this printer and installed the drivers, the scanner icon is created automatically. Apparently the updated driver does not.

    Hi @adiedrichsen,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I see that you are looking for a driver for your printer HP Officejet 7500 a E910a on Mac OS X 10.10, and I'm happy to take a look for you!

There is no full feature software and drivers available directly from HP on this printer and operating system.

However, there is a driver by Apple which gives basic printing and scanning capabilities, you can download this driver by accessing this Web site, HP v3.1 for OS X printer drivers.

Scanning without HP software, please see this post, Re: iMac OS X 10.9.3 Scan for iMac driver for HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 a A910a does not appear to be, by my colleague @Sunshyn2005. That applies to your printer and your operating system, as well.

Hi kerobbymom, welcome to the Forums of HP. I understand that you are not able to select the page sizes large-format for your Officejet 7500 has large Format e-all-in-one printer on your tablet of Microsoft Surface. Looks like your printer has been installed with the built in Windows drivers and not the drivers of HP.

This is the page for the driver for your printer: HP Officejet 7500 a large Format e-all-in-one printer - E910a drivers
Select the required operating system and download the software HP Officejet full feature and the driver. Once it is downloaded to install the software and follow the instructions to install it.

Let me know how that turns out.

  • To print envelopes DL on Officejet 7500 broad

    Hello

I'm trying to print envelopes DL (110 x 220) on a brand new Officejet 7500 broad.

Does not work. The printer does not recognize the format of the envelope, and I can't use a format of pritn "custom size." The printer still complains a misformat in paper format.

I've seen some comments on the same subject for other devices, but the described procedure is not possible with software I have installed...

    Win7 64 bit English

    Someone at - it suggestinons

-> HP - could you provide an update of the driver, which allows to directly print DL envelopes...

    Brgds

    Tim

I couldn't find a way to define a custom for the 7500 a JO size but what I've found, is that the 8600 JO has the type of envelope DL. So what you can try to work around the problem is to download and install the software JO 8600, select USB for the connection, select the option to bypass the connection to the printer via the USB port and the installation process will continue. Once the installation process is complete, go to start, all programs, printers and devices, right click on the 7500 driver, select printer properties, click the Advanced tab, change the driver to JO 8600 (if it is not in the list click new driver). Click on apply and then OK. I would like to know if it works or not.

  • OfficeJet 7500 a printers are unable to print on envelopes of standard size European

To try to resolve the problem of HP sells printers Officejet 7500 has in Europe when they are unable to print on envelopes of European standard sizes, (they only sizes us and we cannot but american size wrapped in Europe. - in Europe, we use the European sizes) and seams that no one at HP gives a dam. They just continue to sell them knowing that they do not work. They will be a reminder of the same put an end to sell them in Europe until they fix this software.

Hi Kyle, I am on OSX 10.8.4 and tried to pring DL and C5 envelopes, he has not had these listed in the options, I went for the custom size option and the DL, I put in 220 X 110 mm and the printer has always rejected the size of the paper (envelope). HP argues that only American sizes are available to print on this model and I should have air in the specification before buying. However, I belieave that if they sell 1, thousands of these printers in Europe then I probally won't be the only one wanting to print the address on a standard envelope. HP argues that they have not to add the software to print envelopes Europeans to the driver as they do with all their other printers because with what is a printer large format people would use it for plans etc. and not for the envelopes. It is stupid, even if you don't have it used to print a plan, then you need to always print letters and mail these letters into envelopes, reason for which only have American sizes of envelopes on printers that are sold on the European market. They say that nothing can be done and we need to get the printer to the provider. I say that someone at HP should add the European dimension of the software for the driver that the printer is capable, it is a great printer, just the driver software, he drops.

    Thank you

    Roy

  • OfficeJet 7500 a cannot print personalized formats?

I recently bought the HP Officejet 7500 a print on large custom formats. In the specifications of the product it is said that the sizes are available for the printer. However, when I tried to print on a custom format, there is no option to set a custom paper size. I checked the manual and was shocked to see a note saying that the dimensions of the custom brackets are available for users of Mac OS X! I can't believe that this "detail" has been convniently in the product specifications. Is it possible possible to print papers costom formats in Windows on this printer? This problem is inexplicable to me. It seems that if the printer is capable of doing when a MAC is hooked up to then he should be able to do when a PC is connected to it? Are there drivers that could allow me to print paper sizes custom in Windows?

It would certainly be worth it to use the 7000 drivers.  You should be able to download the proper drivers and install them, and when the Setup program cannot find the printer select "continue".  Then, use "Add a printer" and choose the 7500 the same port.  If for any reason that the driver will not let me install without the connected printer know and we can find a solution for this.

  • OfficeJet 7500 a: inaccessible Scanner

My HP printer/scanner/copier Officejet 7500 a can not be detected by my Windows 7 desktop PC - but ONLY the scanner.

Message that displayed when I try to scan:

    [Inaccessible scanner

[Scanner communication cannot be established. If make sure that your product is powered, check the connection and make sure that your network is working properly. If these conditions are correct, restart the product and try to scan the image.
If you have installed this printer by IP address, you may need to update the IP address. Use the IP address update for this printer start menu entry.
If you are running a software firewall, it can block scan communication. Please visit www.hp.com/go/wirelessprinting for help to configure your firewall.]

I do NOT use wireless scanning. I have NOT installed the printer/scanner by IP address. The printer/scanner is connected directly to my PC via a USB cable.

Copy works fine; printing most of the time but sometimes the PC sends a print job that prints ever (and no error message). I have to unplug the power cord and plug it in again, which resets the printer and then the job will print if I return it. (I leave the printer on all the time so I don't have to turn on my PC, if all I need is the copier function).

I do not use the scanner very often, but I have had this printer for 4 years, and the scanner has always worked in the past.

When I got the Windows message "Inaccessible Scanner", I tried to unplug the power cord and in reconnecting it back, but the scanner was still "inaccessible". I also tried unplugging the USB cable and plug again, but still not to scan. I also tried to plug the USB cable into a different USB port on my PC, but not scan. I tried to reinstall the scanner, but Windows does not display the scanner as a device.

Is there anything else I can try to solve the problem of 'inaccessible Scanner?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Thanks for your reply. I solved the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling the full features software - and that solved the problem!

  • Surface 2 compatible with Officejet 7500 RT

The Officejet 7500 of large Format e910 printer is compatible with the Surface 2 RT win 8.1?

Try to follow the instructions for RT in the document in my previous post to get the printer installed in Windows first.  The printer should be available in other applications where printing is possible. Make sure the printer is set as the default printer as well.
Let me know if it works outside of the HP AIO App.

  • OfficeJet 7500 a touchscreen has a dead zone

Touchscreen has a dead zone. See the photo below.

Will not respond to pressure. Re-connected, rebooted, activation/deactivation via the power cord, etc. No change. Cannot use updated touch screen to update the firmware because the 'OK' button on the screen is not responding to touch/pressure.

Cannot send a fax of the touch screen (but he won't).

Given that it is a partial failure, I am inclined to think that the touch screen needs to be replaced.

If no solution for the touch screen, is there a workaround solution where I can use the computer it refers (via usb) to send a fax?

    Computer is running XP pro.

You can use the driver to fax on the computer to send a fax. Open the document you want to send, click on print and then change the driver for the 7500 a fax driver. This will send the document by fax. With respect to the screen, it does not sound bad. I would contact HP support to see what options you have available at 1800-474-6836 if in the United States

  • HP officejet 7500 E910: unable to connect my HP printer to laptop

I can't get my laptop (Toshiba Satellite) to connect with my printer HP, (Officejet 7500 E910). This printer was working with this computer until I experienced connection problems. Thought it was my router and replaced by the new router, (BelkinAC1750 DB). Router works fine with the laptop and another, (which has Windows 8.1). I can't connect either wired or wireless for printer or PC. I rebooted to update software that is recommended with this printer that is listed as compatible with windows 10 twice. When I run the HP software to solve problems, it shows the installation is successful, but I get a file error when I try to print.  I tried to reconnect several times to the network, but I think that the IP address on the printer set up display is wrong, but I don't know how to check this. The HP software troubleshooting help gives this as a problem, (the IP address is incorrect or a wireless network).  I disable firewall and antivirus with no result. I read all the suggestions I can find without success. I would like to reset the printer to the original configuration, but I can't find the method to do it. I think the problem is with the printer. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I discovered how to reset my default settings for the touch screen of the printer. It's under the 'Tools' menu, I didn't just not scrolled to the bottom. I have reset to the factory settings and then you had to use the HP printer Assistant, but I connected the printer to the network successfully with the correct IP, 192.168.2.171. The two PC is now no trouble-free printing. I don't know how I got into this mess, but I know that it is with your help that I managed to find a solution. Thank you for your time and your efforts. You saved me time and money.
