Windows Vista is running really slow, how to fix?

Hello
Ive been using vista for nearly a year and he works more and more slowly, sometimes it freezes esp when I open a web page.
I think that maybe its coz my laptop has only 1 GB of memory, but it is like that when I bought it, what can I do? I was wondering if there are ways to make it faster, or I have to change the system to windows xp, if yes, can someone tell me how? IM really bad with computers, thank you very much ~

Hello

It would be good to add more memory.

What antivirus/antispyware/security products do you have on the machine? Be one you have
EVER had on this machine, including those you have uninstalled (they leave leftovers behind which)
may cause strange problems).

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.

your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check

I have an older Dell running Windows Vista, and it started fine when I got it, but about a month ago it started very slow and refusing to open any program. I did a complete analysis of the system through Viper and it came out saying: there is nothing more than a few trogans. He also started a taskbar at the top of the screen. I note that XP Desktop "& gt; Properties & gt; Settings"says display adapter is 'VMWare SVGA II' which sounds very general so maybe he doesn't know how to interact properly with my graphics card? Do I need to install another type of driver etc to allow him to take full advantage of this card?

Everything was a new installation. In fact, I started from scratch twice.

We do not support OpenGL in the prompt still while you run the emulated OpenGL software.  For the moment, only DirectX 9.0 c is supported.

The VMware SVGA II adapter is the video card that we present at the prompt.  It is not possible to operate your host video drivers in the comments because that the guest can not see the video card physical at all.  Instead, a video driver is provided with the comment tools from VMware providing hardware acceleration for Windows.

    Hi Sarma_RN,

    1. When you receive the error message?

    2. update you are trying to install?

    3. When was the last time you were able to install updates?

If Windows Update, error 80072ee2 during updates, the Windows Update servers may experience an unusually high number of requests for updates. Close Windows Update, wait 10 to 15 minutes, and then run Windows Update again. Alternatively, you can wait for automatic update of Windows run at its next scheduled time.

() Vista drivers are not available)

You try to install the software that came with the device in windows XP service pack 2 compatibility mode. See the link below:

    Run the program compatibility Wizard

    1. open the program compatibility Wizard the by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, click programs, and then clicking on use an older program with this version of Windows.

    2. follow the directions in the wizard.

How to install it? After you have copied the installation files I see only blue screen. I use Windows Vista RTM. I think that the BIOS driver is not compatible with Windows Vista.
    My BIOS version is 1.90

  • Problems restoring 64 bit Windows Vista - sfc/scannow still find things to fix even if run multiple times in a row

I had a hard drive failure; However, the operating system has been on another disk, a 250 GB SSD. After replacing the faulty discs, I tried to move Windows Vista 64 bit to a larger 512 SSD concert. I keep running into problems with these efforts. To verify that the 250 GB SSD is clean and ready to be moved, I run the sfc/scannow in SafeMode with network. I run several times now and each time he claims to have found corrupt files and fixed them.

This is evidence of a virus or other malicious software?

I try to avoid formatting the drive and having to reinstall all software.

    Suggested actions?

    Hello

    Run SFC in Normal Mode.

    See you soon.

Call the manufacturer of your computer.
Request a set of recovery disks. The cost of the disk is minimal and the money will be well spent.

Also ask to speak to a technician and learn how to access your recovery partition (if you have one) and the use of the recovery partition.

    Note:

If you have files that you want to keep, save these first before you restore your computer.
