Windows vista stops the screen blue and white
Computor will stop working, the cursor hangs and have to reboot to switch off. Sometimes he'll just empty.
Hi whutton4647,
1. did you of recent changes on the computer?
2. When you receive the blue screen?
3. What is the message you receive to the blue screen?
Method 1
Check if the problem persists in safe mode.
Start your computer in safe mode
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
Restart the computer to return to normal mode
Method 2
If the problem does not persist in safe mode, and then try to clean boot and check.
It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.
I suggest that you perform a clean boot and check.
To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Reset the computer to start as usual
When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
(a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.
(b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.
(c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.
(d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.
Method 3
If you're still having problems on the computer, and then check the event viewer for the cause of the problem and post bacj with details.
What are the information contained in the logs of the event (Event Viewer)?
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/what-information-appears-in-event-logs-Event-Viewer
I hope this helps!

How to get Vista recovery Media and/or to use the Vista recovery Partition on your computer.
There is no Vista free download legal available.
Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ask them if you can also make recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.
They will tell you how to do this.
Every computer manufacturer has their way of doing recovery disk/s.

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed. There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.
If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):
Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

Crash of Windows Vista after the SCREEN of HOME Toshiba
Greetings,
My father work laptop, a Toshiba Satellite L300D, running on Windows Vista, seems to have fallen, and it is promised (because he recently ordered a new laptop) that if I fix it it gives me.
The problem is that as soon as the laptop turns on, after the start of toshiba, but before the vista screen start loading screen, the system stops and everything is white '_' in the top left corner that flashes and disappears, leaving me with an empty black screen. I tried all below, in vain.
- Press F8, no matter how long, when and how many times, seems to have no effect. After pressing it enough times, the laptop starts beeping for a second every time I press another key.
- Removing the battery and pressing the power button for 60 seconds seem to have no use either.
- The recovery disks do not work. After that they load, the screen empty boring, with the small '_' rises again.
Please note that before any loading screen, it crashes. I tried going in the system (by pressing F2) Setup and see if there is a way of fixing it. I don't see a possible solution.
Help, please!
Create a Ubuntu Live CD ( http://www.ubuntu.com/desktop/get-ubuntu/download ) put it in your CD-ROM drive, and then try to start with it (go to the start menu, use the arrow keys and enter to select your CD-ROM drive), and then selecttry without any change to your computer.
If you can boot from this summer with success, it means that it is certainly a software or a hard drive problem.
replace the hard drive will correct these two questions (you will need to get a new operating system) or you can try to clean the drive with a live Ubuntu CD and just buy a new OS (or use ubuntu).to retrieve all the files you need are on the disk, read this article http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/15761/recover-data-like-a-forensics-expert-using-an-ubuntu-live-cd/

http://go.Microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=50163&clcid=0x0409Many many people have this problem when I talk to others. Miscrosoft compromises our computers so we would have to buy new ones?
They know there is a problem and they don't even try to find a solution for this. In this economy, they force people to buy new computers, they will just leave people blocked company becase NOBODY takes the phone, if you do not have email, people don't keep in touch, if you are not on a social network or business networking nobody will know your business, you won't make any money nobody reads the ACTUAL newspapers these days, everybody reads the news on the internet. They only hurt people, they are forcing anyone to buy a new computer, people just can't afford it. Hundreds of thousands of people can barely keep their utilities on. In doing so I wish they will reconsider. I am disabled I will definitely cut if my computer goes down for good. Can we do any smell that?
There are also a lot that I need to run startup until the restoration. Windows restarts after the crash of the blue screen, I reinstalled windows twice, it works fine until I have start to install all updates. I have only installed MSE and it still happens. I lost all my music I paid a lot of money for, my paintings for children, important documents, all because I had to reinstall windows twice now. I may have to reinstall them once more and I do NOT wish to install the updates again. He really never stops until I installed updates to windows. I thought that if I use the programs from Microsoft that it will work, because after all, it's all done by the same company, but no, nothing works. I am so in the sincere real despair. Be alone without technical skills, hardly what actually on my disability check, now I'm going to cut everyone. Now I can't do ANYTHING without it crashing, nothing fun anyway. I tried Microsoft fix, I tried so many solutions. I paid for Adobe photoshop, because I like to draw things and I'm terrified to install it. I'm afraid to do anything fun or useful on this computer.
If I can afford a new computer at any time, I think I will try Apple, I lost my trust in Windows. Unless they make an effort to solve this problem, then I would give them a chance again, but not if they will try to help. I'm so frustrated. I spend a lot of money on this computer, it's an ENTERTAINMENT laptop and I get not very amused.
What is going on?
Hello
Could be heat related - try using a small fan to blow into the air intakes to see if that helps.
It is just like it loses power or stop it in the normal way? Heat associated
does not necessarily mean excessive heat, it could be something is too sensitive to the same
normal levels of heat. Also a computer will produce more heat as is pointed out how adding
software or updates, among other measures, causes it. Of course those actions should not
cause enough stress or heat to shut down the computer. For a laptop on everything that you can do is reinstall the memory and clean the ventilation openings (still may try to add
a small fan as a test). Of course first remove all power. This sounds like material so if the above does not help you then probably need help

Windows Vista crashes, the screen becomes pink with diagonal dotted lines
My HP Pavilion DV9500 laptop started making a few months ago:
The computer and the programs sometimes simply freeze, sometimes the screen becomes a light pink with diagonal lines dotted, and sometimes the laptop itself restarts without warning. The computer is about 3 years old now and have not had any problems before this. I tried to do a clean install of the recovery feature that I don't have a Vista disc to reinstall from, and he always does this. Sometimes the computer will be fine for a few hours and sometimes just after the start it will freeze. A couple of times too, as it starts, Windows will not start and it will say "Not found operating system".
Hello
It sounds like imminent hardware failure/issues. Since you did a clean installation of recovery
pretty much excludes most of the causes of software if it could be driver related and there are other
possible causes remotely. Video/display and its drivers are suspected leader and mother.

Hello
1. when exactly you get this error message?
2 are you able to boot into the office after getting this error on blue screen?
3. don't you make changes to the computer until the problem occurred?
I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.
Method 1: Try to start your system in safe mode and check if the same problem occurs.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
Method 2 : If the question does not exist in Mode safe mode then try to put your computer in a clean boot state.
By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

I don't want Windows 7 at all so I'm ready to lose all data, so how can I do to remove it?
You say that you have started from the XP CD, but something is wrong with that
you do. Just boot from the CD and follow the prompts for a
clean install. A new installation by formatting the

even if any version of Windows is installed.Ken Blake

* Original title: reinstalling Windows Vista
I tried to format the C drive and then reinstall Windows Vista using the windows reinstall disk but I couldn't start in it. I restarted my computer, press the F12 key and selected boot from cd/dvd, but the computer still started in windows. My computer is Dell. If there is no solution, it is possible to reinstall windows without using the disc?

You can also borrow and use a Microsoft Vista DVD, which contains the files for the different editions of Vista (Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate) must be installed. The product key on your computer / Laptop box determines what Edition is installed.
Other manufacturers recovery DVDs are should not be used for this purpose.
And you need to know the version of 'bit' for Vista, as 32-bit and 64-bit editions come on different DVDs
Here's how to do a clean install of Vista using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft:

And once the operating system is installed, go to your computer manufacturer's website and get the latest drivers for your particular model or laptop computer.
And phone Activation may be necessary when you use the above installation method.

I am already taking pictures of the sticker and serial No. my laptop if you need if you can help me please write me * address email is removed from the privacy * thank youIf you had not reinstalled Vista, we helped you recover the product key of Vista for running old, Vista activated using specific programs.
But, as you have wiped the hard and reinstall Vista, we will not help you recover the product key.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.
Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.
Using recovery disks is normally not need to insert a product key.

I am running windows vista on the PC of my church and have inserted a USB stick with a MP4 file on it, but I can not read this file. Can I get help?
I created a video for our Church on a desktop of Windows 7 through Pinnacle Studio 14 (editor) and registered as a .mp4 file. I then put it on a flash drive and put the flash drive in the computer of the Church, that is running Windows Vista, and the file will not play. Please provide help quickly!
-CoreyYou need a media player that is compatible with .mp4 files.
The following preferential ticket should solve your dilemma.

Hi, I'm having a problem with my laptop. I bought my laptop online, a year ago, and I got a virus. Then, I had my computer reset and I need a code for Windows Vista from the bottom of my laptop. After looking through records and information, we found that he had no number. He worked initially but then recently he was asked for a product key or something of the sort code. I was using my laptop but I cannot customise my background etc.
Can you help me?
Thank you very much
The code is located on a label and is a 25-digit alpha-numeric (and very hard to read) code separated into 5 groups of 5 numbers separated by dashes. If you can't find it on the bottom of your laptop, open the battery housing and remove the battery and look there - I know of cases where this is where it was placed.
If you can't find the product key, your only choice is to contact the manufacturer and see if they can help. Sometimes the relocations made with recovery disks don't need to be activated (depends on the manufacturer and their recovery process must ask them and confirm before you spend money on the recovery discs). A valid product key is required for activation if activation is required - there is no way around this problem. And in case you are considering on it, you can't switch from one product not enabled - you need to do a clean and complete installation (update disc will not work).
I hope this helps and that the manufacturer can help you.
Good luck!

He worked on an image and then stopped on the next! I have cs6. It is just the display of the background gray and white checkerboard on the upper left corner. I click on the arrow down to see if I can get it back to black and white and it will not change... it will not change if I click on any of them. I think it might be a bug? Any ideas will be appreciated. I tried to reset them as well. Thank you!!
Check your Options bar. You have the opacity set to 10%. Easy to do. Just hit the 1 key while the gradient tool is selected, and it's done. By pressing the 0 key will take you back to 100%
