  I see a very strange problem with the functions asynchronousExportFile and doc.exportFile from Indesign.   As you can see /Users/jess/Documents/MyTmpFilePath/1-1.pdf is the correct path, I feed the function, but somewhere in the code adobe adds "/ Volumes ' since I was" / Volumes/users "as a mounted directory. It should be not to convert the path to the "/ Volumes/Users/jess/Documents/MyTmpFilePath/1-1.pdf". Is a path not existing since support for Windows is not user 'jess'.
  

  If I remove the windows volume everthing works again. As a test I have even disassembled all volumes and went into my directory of Volumes and created a directory named "/ Volumes/users/abc", which causes the problem to appear again immediately. We tried this on several machines, and the behavior is the same. I also tried to deceive the function using a different directory by using of "... /.. '. "/" etc. does not.

  I also noticed that by the time I get out the "/ users" part of the way, everything works fine. Unfortunately this isn't an option because many users have privileges to write files outside of their user sandbox.

  Please, I struggled with this problem for days now and searched all forums. Any light that someone might throw on this topic would be very useful.

  I can't activate the Volume icon by doing this it says in part: "volume control program has not been installed.    There is no way to install programs to add and I don't have a XP installation CD.  Apparently the following file is missing: Sndvol32.exe

  (2) no way to change my username separately I have in my hotmail profile. I need to write a '.' there just to fill the last field name with something.

This means that when you play the music in a single profile and use the fast user switching will continue to play music and the secondary profile will not have access to control the Web pages or the volume of the music played on the primary profile.

  Old post I know but I had this problem on several of my removable HDs, and finally I managed to remove the 'System Volume Information' folder:

  DO NOT DO THIS ON YOUR C: DRIVE OR YOUR WINDOWS HARD DRIVE!

  Right click on desktop, and then click [New-> shortcut]
  Write: cmd.exe

  Click [next] and then click [finish]

  Right click on cmd.exe icon, and then click 'run as administrator'
  Now select the external hard drive (f: in my case)

  C:\>f:

  Yes now the following (you can copy paste):
  F:\>attrib s h/s/d
  F:\>attrib - r/s/d
  F:\>Rd "System Volume Information" / s
  Are System Volume Information, you sure (Y/N)? There

• No audio device or after reinstaling windows xp volume control

  I reinstalled Windows XP on Inspiron B120 my daughter because she got the blue screen of death.  I finally understood how to get the wireless working and I thought everything was OK.  Today I asked him if his cell phone was still used and she told me the volume had disappeared from the taskbar and she had no sound.

• Lost Windows 8 Volume control key

  Windows 8 offers you at least 2 methods to restore the volume control key. They are 1) right-click on the icon in the right lower date/time in your toolbar. Here you have several options for searching on the parameters, but none of them work to reset the controller volume to my toolbar icon.  then 3) restart your computer and the hope of a "reset" which will take place and restore factory settings. It did not work.  (4) create a restore point (previous date) to reset your computer. This also failed. Nothing I have tried so far has worked. Now I am in a dilemma and did not have a next expected move.

• Hotkey driver Windows 7 - Volume keys 2.23

  I see that there is a new version of the driver v2.23 Hotkey which takes care of Windows 7, but still, it does not solve the problems I have with my T61p.

  I don't get a screen when I press the volume of material to the top or to the bottom of the keys, even if these keys do not work to change the volume in windows. Not a huge deal, but the version latest on Hotkey drivers does not resolve this at all.

  The somewhat larger and the most annoying question is with the mute material, this key will be cutting the audio (not indicator sceen) but do not turn the sound back on. It also seems to turn off the sound outside of windows, which means that the mute icon does not appear in the system tray and using the mute or a volume slider in the windows status bar application did not audio return. The only way to return audio is based on the volume of material up\down keys.

  Found a soloution for this in the display tab found via the advanced settings for the display resolution, there was no font scheme, which makes everything works correctly, particularly by taking the Mute key work.
