  You are running Microsoft Security Essentials, AVG, Norton or McAfee? If you run one of those, she didn't have Defender. It's good, not bad.   If I understand correctly, you cannot create new folders that you have only one option which is to create a portfolio.

  Since you are not able to start your computer in normal mode and in safe mode, I suggest you to do a startup repair.

  Method 1

  STAGES OF STARTUP REPAIR

  If you have a Windows Vista installation disc, you need to restart (boot) your computer using the installation disc. If you do not restart your computer from the disk, the option to repair your computer will not appear.
  If you have a Windows Vista installation disc
  1. Insert the installation disc.
  2. restart your computer.
  Click the Start button, click the arrow next to the button lock and then click on restart.
  3. If you are prompted, press any key to start Windows from the installation disc.
  Note: If your computer is not configured to start from a CD or a DVD, see the documentation provided with your computer. You may need to change your computer's BIOS settings. For more information, see BIOS: frequently asked questions.
  4. choose your language settings, and then click Next.
  5. click on repair your computer.
  6. Select the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.

  If the Startup Repair tool does not help then you will need to do an offline system restore

• Acer Travelmate 7750 G freezes completely using Windows or Linux (dual boot). Need help please.

  The problem is that the machine freezes completely without apparent reason, on all operating systems, I tried.  "Freezes", I mean there is no reaction to the mouse movements, keyboard presses and start button / stop pressed off the coast.  The gel seems to be at a random time and may occur even when the system is idle.

  The Acer Travelmate 7750 G laptop came pre-installed with Windows 7 and it kept freezing.  The machine has been updated level of Windows 8, 8.1, 10, then dual boot with Linux Mint 17.3.  The machine froze on all operating systems.  I have tested software hard drive, memory, CPU, GPU and they all managed very well.  Is it someone who has knowledge about how to resolve or others troubleshoot this please?

  RESOLVED - I installed a HDD replacement in December 2015 and the laptop Travelmate 7750 G works perfectly since.  Cost me almost nothing compared to the price of the laptop.  No freezing, crashing or anything else!

  I need help for Windows 7 to work properly on my laptop Lenovo X 200. My X 200 started in dual mode with Vista, and has the Intel X 4500. Here is what I need help, I will list them in order of importance for me.

  1) windows are messy! (See the screenshot below) When I first start, they are fine, but after about 10-15 minutes, they turn into a mess. This is common with the beta? Or just me?

  2) ThinkVantage pop up (blue button) & pop ups for FN + Fx buttons do not work

  3) 'Controller PCI of Communication Simple' in Device Manager
  4) "Modem Device on High Definition Audio Bus" in Device Manager
  5) "Ethernet Controller" is listed under 'Safely Remove Hardware' in the taskbar... not really important to me, but it would be nice if someone knew how to get rid of it.

  I don't really know how I solved the... I just tried a bunch of different drivers. First update Windows, then in the folder of drivers from my Vista Partition and then continue straight on the Lenovo Web site. I have fixed the windows foires but as well. I used the old Vista driver instead of the preliminary version of WDDM 1.1 from Intel. The old Vista it worked perfectly so far.

  Also, the FN + Fx stop function works now... so I guess that is still pending. My power management works very well, although I don't know how I solved that either, I guess that I just got my Vista partition driver.

  Other than that, everything works fine now. But, do you know how I can disable Bluetooth & Wireless Lan without the FN + F5 menu? As in a quick way, without the menus 1 million, or the hardware switch?

  I have a little problem and I would be happy if you could give some advice.

  1. I have a Mackbook Pro HD 232 GB and 8 GB of RAM.

  2. with the help of VMWare, I installed Windows 7 and allocated 90 GB HD and 3.5 GB of RAM.

  3 OS X Disk utility confirms 90 GB of my Macbook Pro HD has been used.

  4 VMWare settings also confirms that Windows has been affected 90 GB of disk space.

  5 mac and Windows work fine.

  Problem - Windows drive C (the only drive in my windows) has only 40 GB. I would be happy if you could help me understand where the 50 GB went.

  On guest Windows VM, open Manager (diskmgmt.msc) disks and check if you create a partition by using all the 90 GB drive, otherwise, right-click the partition and select 'Extend', then the partition uses all unallocated space.
