Original title: XP Pro CD?

I was overcome by Privacy Protector masked as a Microsoft product. I killed but now my XP Pro is corrupt - printing, etc, and I lost my XP Pro cd.  Can I download it somewhere and make a cd?

Hello

Method 1: If the software is preinstalled on your system, you should either a recovery partition or you could contact the manufacturer for a possible replacement.

Method 2: If you bought the software separately, you can view this help article:

What virus? How did you know you had it? You run an anti-virus
the program? Which one? Is it updated? Why don't you use not to
    remove the virus?

So I had to upgrade to Windows 7,

Ugh! The upgrade to a different version of Windows does not remove a virus. In
did the upgrade when you have a problem is always a bad
thing to do and will be much more likely to make the problem worse than in
    solve it.

However, I have not the key product for Windows Vista or 7.

Where have you upgraded to Windows 7? Upgrade to a
legitimate version Windows7 is a bad thing, but if you went to one
a pirated version, it is likely to cause additional problems and you
are probably in trouble now and need to clean install a
copy legitimate of some versions of Windows.

Is there a way to set up in Windows Vista or 7 because
my product key for computers, which was at the back of it, has
has been deleted or worn. There is no name on the back of my
laptop computer sticker saying what product key to use. Thank you!

The product key on the back of your laptop is for what version of
Windows it came with and may not be used for all other versions. If you
don't have a product key for Vista or Windows 7, the laptop
no doubt supplied with XP. Is this correct?

If it came with XP, it is very old and it is almost certainly elsewhere
low power for Windows 7. In addition the drivers you need for Windows
7 there are almost certainly not, and you will not be able to run
    Windows 7 on it.

At this point, you are probably in trouble no matter what you do. You
must reinstall Windows XP itself, but you no longer have your
product key and you probably haven't a Windows XP CD no more. You
can try to ask the manufacturer of the laptop to a XP CD and product
key, but I doubt if you can get at this late date.

You can buy a copy of Windows 7, but once, you are likely in a way
low power for the drivers you need and it will be unavailable.

There is no such thing as a downgrade to Windows XP. You had to make a
new installation of Windows XP. Exactly how did you do?

Thus, Windows 7 Pro is on the machine.

"So?" Why you say that it is on the machine? How do you know? Or what makes
Do you not? It probably isn't.

You do not have to be equipped with Windows 7 to install Microsoft Office
2010. as long as you have Windows XP SP3, it can run 32-bit Office
    2010.

Yesterday, I downloaded a song.  Now my Windows Media Player will not play anything.

I get the same room whenever I try to start each song in my library:

Anyone know how I can fix the media player and get rid of this problem?

    Hello

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

Run the troubleshooters in Windows Media Player and check if it helps.

Open the troubleshooting Windows Media Player settings Troubleshooter: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Open-the-Windows-Media-Player-Settings-troubleshooter

Open the troubleshooter in the Windows Media Player library:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-Windows-Media-Player-library-Troubleshooter

    Method 2:

Try to reset the management of digital rights (DRM) and check if it helps.

Follow the steps to reset the DRM:

    1. first of all, check that the hidden files and folders option is enabled.
To do this, follow these steps:

    a. start Windows Explorer. To do this, click Start, type userinit.exe in the Search box and press ENTER.

    b. click on organize, and then click folder and Search Options.

    c. click on the view tab.

    d. click Advanced settings.

    e. under hidden files and folders, click Show files and folders, clear the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) box and then click OK.

    2. Locate the DRM folder on the computer.
In general, the DRM folder is located in the following location.
Note In these paths, drive represents the drive on which Windows is installed.
    Windows 7 or Windows Vista.

    a. Windows 7 or Windows Vista versions x 86-based
    drive: \ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\DRM

    b. Windows 7 or Windows Vista versions x 64-based
    drive: \ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\DRM

3 Rename the file DRM DRMbackup.

    a. right click on the DRM folder and then click Rename.

    b. type DRMbackup, and then press ENTER.

    c. close Windows Explorer.

Warning: You must contact any third-party stores where you purchased music to reset the licenses for that music. If you copied CDs for protected Windows Media Audio files, the CD must be copied again.

Windows XP has been partially updated and may not work perfectly

    Hello

    -You installed correctly updated recently?
-You are aware of any changes made on the computer before this problem?
Method 1: I suggest to maintain the computer in clean boot mode and check if the problem still persists.

    Step 1: Clean Boot Mode
A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.
You can read the following article to configure the computer to boot:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: After the troubleshooting steps, refer to clean the start link to configure the computer to normal startup mode.

Step 2: Manually disable the Antivirus

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Step 3: Install Service Pack 2 (SP2)

Steps to take before you install Windows XP Service Pack 3

Include to determine which SP1 is installed

Method 2: Follow the steps mentioned below and check if the problem persists.

Step 1: Microsoft Windows Update Agent tool
How to get the latest version of the Windows Update Agent?

Step 2: Try to install the updates and check if the problem persists.

Method 3: Try to download and install the Windows XP SP2 and SP3 manually and check if the problem persists.
