Windows xp pro has the ability to share?

I have a laptop running windows 7 and a desktop running windows xp pro, is possible to turn on home sharing betwwen the two?

"Home sharing" If your average homegroup ala win 7, working group is better for private users.  It works on IPv4, and is usually more compatible with existing systems.

We are in need of more information about the configuration of your network to be able to help.

    Hello

Check your level of service current pack...

    • Hold down the Windows (between Ctrl and Alt) key and press Pause break
    • Examine what is listed in the system: section

If there is no service pack designated first level you must download SP2 from...

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=28

.. .and then run the downloaded program to install SP2.

Once you have done this, or if you were already in service pack 1, 1a or 2, then install SP3 by downloading and running from...

    http://www.Microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&ID=24

For both of the above, you can ignore the text that says it's for network installations and also ignore the text advising windows/microsoft update if a single update of a PC.

So try and get up-to-date with the Windows updates.

You can not, for at least one (and two possible) reasons.

    1. it isn't clean if you want to have two computers, or you
you want to remove from the old computer and put it on the new. If
you want once, you can't do that - the rule is very clear: there
a copy (or a license) for each computer.

There is nothing new here. This is exactly the same rule that has been in
effect on all versions of Windows from at least with Windows 3.1.

    2. but even if you want it on a single and from uninstall
the old computer, you can't do it. It is because if it came with the
computer, it is an OEM version and the biggest drawback to he a
OEM version, is that its license it permanently binds to the first
It is installed on the computer. He can never legally be moved to another
computer, sold or assigned (except with the original computer).

No, you can't. Why do you do this? It is not an upgrade; the
two are the same; only licensing rules are different.

  • Pavilion model 11-n001sa: installing Windows HP pro on the HP Pavilion model No. 11 - n001sa

I replaced the original hard disk, it was windows 10 installed.

This small laptop is idea for my Renault Clip software, so we need to install Windows XP pro.

I tried different setting in the bios, XP is listed, theres so no reason for it not install it!

Using windows XP pro sp 2 & 3 installation disc, but keep the blue screen dreaded towards the end of the installation.

Come on HP, I need your advice please.

    Hello:

There is a very good reason that XP does not install.

Intel did not provide any sata ahci drivers for the chipset that has your laptop.

That's why you got the BSOD.  XP cannot find the hard drive.

The latest processors from Intel-based notebook chipsets which had support for XP have laptops with the 7 Series chipsets.

Not to mention the fact that you wouldn't find any graphic or wireless drivers for XP even if you can get it (that you can't) install.

Months later, the hard drive has so I replace w / a 60 GB one and replaced the RAM w / 2-1 GB cards. I don't have a disc of Windows 7 Pro but I got it work using the old XP dics, originally, it came with. Can I use this disc to enter the product key code that I got online for Windows 7? I see there is an upgrade option that comes up when I run the XP disk once it's been installed on my laptop. Thanks in advance for your help in my question. Not sure if it has been already answered the previous question.

Your best option is to ask a backup copy or to borrow the corresponding edition, you have a license from a friend. Ensure that it is a upgrade disk or any retail version is authentic.

  • Two days ago Windows 7 Pro has suddenly become non-genuine

Two days ago, I started having a window informing me that Windows 7 Pro on my laptop is not valid. I ignored it, thinking it was just a fluke and would solve itself. There is, unfortunately, no.

I bought my laptop on eBay a few years ago. The COA reads as follows:

    Windows 7 Pro OA

    Lenovo Singapore

and my product key. I confirmed that the product in use key is the same as that on the certificate of authenticity.
