    Windows XP trying to update and get the error: "another installtion progresses.   That completes before proceeding with this installation. "How can I know what is the installation and the status?

    Hello

    1. are you referring to Windows update?
    2 have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

    Please answer these questions and to provide more specific information on the issue. This could help us help you better.

    You can check the question in the clean boot state.

    From your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if a background program is interfering with your game or program. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".

    Reference:
    How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

    When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:
    a. click Startand then click run.
    b. type msconfigand click OK.

    The System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

  • After WSUS downloaded and installed the most recent Windows XP and 7 updates, we encountered the following error: page of the Intranet Web displayed in Internet Explorer (8 or 9) is on SERVER_A

    After that WSUS installed and downloaded the most recent Windows XP and 7 updates, we encountered the following error:

    The Web page of the Intranet being viewed in Internet Explorer (8 or 9) is on SERVER_A
    and the page contains a link to a file on a network share on the Serveur_B, making the href path something like
    'http://SERVER_B/myShare/myDocument.doc '.
    ... then it does NOT work.

    If the Intranet Web page being read in IE (8 or 9) SERVER_A on
    and the page contains a link to a file on SERVER_A, making the href path something like
    'http://IP..ADDRESS/myDocument.doc '.
    ... then it does not work.

    Before these updates, the system worked flawlessly.  We try to identify the update that caused this problem, but 28 of them fell on a Tuesday.  (22/11/2011).   These questions are the same with IE8 or IE9 and WindowsXP and Windows7.

    Has anyone seen this problem?

    I hope someone can help on Win 7 64 bit, music is taken on a disk usb2 external hard... I had no problem until today when the message in the title appeared next to each track, with a little red cross.

    I already deleted database library as suggested by some of the forums, also disabled the media as a feature of Win 7, rebooted and then re-enabled it.  I also disconnected externally and restarted that as well, I'm also the same mistake with a cd in the cd drive as well.

    Can anyone help?

    Hello

    This error may occur for one of the following reasons:
    The file is currently in use. Close the file and then try again.

    You are not allowed to access the location where the file is stored.

    Follow these steps to grant all permissions in the folder where the files are stored:
    1. right click on the folder on the external drive and click Properties.
    2. in the Properties window, click on Security tab.
    3. now, click Edit , and then click Add.
    4. now, type everyone in the box and click OK.
    5. check the full control box.
    6. click on apply and then click OK.

    You can also try the mentioned below as follows:

    1. click on start.
    2. go in Control Panel.
    3. Select "SOUND".
    4. double-click on speakers.
    5. click on the tab advanced and then uncheck the enable audio enhancements.

    Original title: problems of residential group after system recovery

    I started a homegroup on my computer.  I added another computer to the homegroup.  Everything worked fine until I had to perform a system recovery on the laptop that I used to start the homegroup.  I implemented the homegroup again, but I can't access the files on the other computer via Windows Media Player.  I get an error message that says "Windows Media Player cannot access the file. The file may be in use, you won't have access to the computer on which the file is stored, or your proxy settings are may not be incorrect. "I can access all the music files via Windows Explorer.  I have to start over with a new password?  Can I just create a new homegroup?  What other options do I have?  You can provide any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

  • Problems with error Windows Media Player, that Windows Media Player is not installed on the computer.

    We have a computer that is running Windows 7 and (I think) Windows Media Player 12.  When I start ==> all programs ==> windows media player, the program starts and it seems to work.  It is a work computer, so no video or audio file is saved.

    We have an online seminar that the user wants to participate in, and when we click on the link to get the webinar, an error message appears saying that Windows Media Player is not installed on the computer.

    We use Firefox (version reasonably updated, but do not know which) for internet.

    I used the "fix it" tool on the website of Microsoft, but that does not solve anything.  He said it sets some configuration settings.  I thought that maybe uninstall and reinstall it can work, but I can't understand completely uninstall because it isn't in my list of programs in the control panel.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks for any ideas you may have.

    Nolan

    (Moved to programs)

    Uninstall and reinstall could be done by searching for and opening the option "turn on or off Windows features", but I don't think it will help.

    Instead, what you need is a Windows Media Player plugin for your browser (Firefox).

    But before you spend effort on it, I would test to see if it's really the solution.  Try to join your webinar with Internet Explorer (where the WMP plugin is built).  If it works, you can be reasonably sure to know how to make it work with Firefox.

    Hi, I format the computer, I would like to know how the applications that I have, if I am already registered and then downloaded again...? !@

    If you have a cloud account/subscription and then sign up before formatting.  If you have a Creative Suite software license then before you format you must disable all the different suites opening one of the applications and selecting help-> Deactivate

    The actions above will help make it easier for the reactivation of your subscription access/suite when you reinstall after format is done and your system restored.

  • Windows 10 won't install after formatting in the installer from the disc

    Hello

    I tried to install 10 Windows on my MacBook pro 13 ' 2012 with SSD and HDD 10.11.5 running. I followed the procedure step by step with the Bootcamp Assistant for two hard drive. I have my USB Windows 10 install prepared, latest updates of Bootcamp and puppy 35 GB disk. I did this several times and can not get pass the Bootcamp with Windows partition install formatting. Whenever I click Next after format, he says "we couldn't create a new partition or locate an existing one. For more information see the installation log files".

    it say something about MBR and Windows needs EFI.

    I had the same problem, you click on the partition where windows should be installed? Seemed that Windows did not know where to put them.

    Restore point:

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
    Receipt of notice of updates of Windows. I opened the Control Panel of configuration/Windows Update screen and there was six recommended updates Important and two optional. I selected the six plus one option for Windows Live Add-in update. I installed updates and restarted my system. I checked the status of the installation of the system by opening the Control Panel of configuration/Windows Update screen. It showed that my updates failed, but when I click view update history, each of the update Important/recommended six succeeded. It there was no indication whether the Office Live Add-in was successful or not. Should I believe that the screen Control Panel of configuration/Windows Update that says my updates failed or should I believe the view update history which shows updates as a success.
