Sorry for the delay in responding.

You cannot use a GUI like this to copy files to a router. The GUI, as you can see, waiting to connect to a device that is running a BASH/KSH shell type and file system, Cisco IOS does not run something like this.

The SCP in IOS feature should be used only from the IOS command line to copy files to or from a device safely. The format of the command goes like this:

Router # copy flash: c3620-ik9s - mz.122 - 0.17.T PCs:[email protected]*.

Address or name of remote host [10.1.1.2]?

Destination user name [tiger]?

Destination file name [c3620-ik9s - mz.122 - 0.17.T]?

Writing c3620-ik9s - mz.122 - 0.17.T

  • LAN-to-LAN tunnel between VPN 3000 and Cisco 1721

    Hello

    I have a current LAN-to-LAN tunnel configuration between VPN 3000 (3.6) and Cisco 1721 (12.2 (11) T).

When I use the encryption = authentication and Des-56 = ESP\MD5\HMAC-128 for the IPSec Security Association, everything works fine.

However, I would like to Turn off encryption for some time getting the speed improvements, so I changed

Encryption = null esp (in 1721) and to "null" in VPN-3000.

Now the tunnel is setup but I can spend only ICMP traffic. When I pass the traffic UDP\TCP the message below appears the Cisco 1721

% C1700_EM-1-ERROR: error in packet-rx: pad size error, id 75, hen offset 0

    Has anyone seen this behavior?

All those put in place an IPSec Tunnel with only the ESP authentication and NO encryption between VPN-3000 and Cisco 1721?

    Thanx------Naman

    Naman,

Disable you the vpn Accelerator? "no accel crypto engine. Sure that you can't do with a null module vpn.

  • Any bug IOS (ADSL + IPSEC) with Cisco 1721?

    Hello

I tried to install an IOS image with support ADSL and IPSEC on a Cisco 1721.

When the router works fine with ADSL, it does not work with IPSEC and vice versa.

I tried to change the router with a similar 1721, but nothing has changed.

I tried the following images (I found them with IOS Scheduler) for IPsec:

    C1700-o3sy756i - mz.121 - 3.XP3.bin

    C1700-o3sy756i - mz.121 - 5.YB5.bin

When I install the versions of IOS, I can't see the ATM interface.

Have you noticed any IOS bug related to ADSL + IPSEC with the Cisco 1721 versions?

    Thank you

    Paolo

    Hi Paolo

It comes to the interface card WIC ADSL is not supported in versions of software you tried.

According to "Software Advisor", the card WIC-1ADSL is supported on the platform of 1721 in the following versions:

    12.2 (13) T, 12.2 (4) AGO, 12.2 (4) 12.2 (4) YH, YJ 12.2 (8), YL 12.2 (8), YM 12.2 (8), YB, YN 12.2 (8)

So, you will need to get a new image, a crypto of the cause.

    Hello

    I have a router (192.168.157.254) Cisco 1721 with a 4port10/100 wic installed.

Is it possible to filter using IOS Firewall if wic address and lan are similar? I know it's that they have different ip addresses is possible, but if they are in the same LAN?

    For example:

A server (192.168.157.10) connected directly to the router FILTER wic and using the LAN interface.

    Is possible?

    Best regards

Yes, the IOS Firewall can filter even if the address LAN and wic are similar. The following link can help you

How can install and active the new IPS IOS definitions?

I checked all internal investigations of Cisco TAC and the error messages and I couldn't identify the problem. It does not seem you have a memory problem, you have available 15meg. I try three things and then maybe contact TAC to see if they can help.

    1. download the file again just in case it is damaged.

    2. give your file extension .sdf just in case the name of the file ips_sdf into a problem (shouldn't be).

3 download the homeless, just in case there is an invalid content in the file that you currently have.

    4. it seems that you have installed to SDM. Try the SDM to install signatures.

I hope this helps, if not repost or give a TAC guys.

  • Routing problem between the VPN Client and the router's Ethernet device

    Hello

    I have a Cisco 1721 in a test environment.

A net 172.16.0.0/19 simulates the Internet and a net 192.168.1.0/24 simulates the net, the VPN tunnel must go to (intranet).

The net 172.16.0.0 depends on the router 0 FastEthernet, Intranet (VPN) hangs on Ethernet 0.

The configuration was inspired form the sample Configuration

"Configuring the Client VPN Cisco 3.x for Windows to IOS using Local extended authentication"

and the output of the ConfigMaker configuration.

Authentication and logon works. Client receives an IP address from the pool. But there's a routing problem

side of routers. Ping client-side - do not work (the VPN client statistics that count encrypt them packets, but not to decrypt).

Ping the router works too, but decrypt and encrypt customer statistics in VPN packets count progressive

(customer has a correct route and return ICMP packets to the router).

    The question now is:

How to route packets between the Tunnel and an Ethernet device (Ethernet 0)?

conf of the router is attached - hope that's not too...

    Thanks & cordially

    Thomas,

Can't wait to show something that might be there, but I don't see here. You do not have the card encryption applied to one of the interfaces, perhaps it was not copied. Assuming your description you do it, or should it be, applied to the fa0 and you are connected. Try how you ping? Since the router or a device located on E0? If you ping the router, you will need to do an extended ping of E0 to the ip address of the client has been assigned. If your just ping the router without the extension, you will get sales and decrypts that you declare on the client. Have you tried to ping from the client to interface E0? Your default route on the router is pointing to fa0? You have a next hop to affect? You have several NIC on the client pc? Turn off your other network cards to check that you don't have a problem with routing on the client if you have more than one.

Enter it manually on both devices and see what you get.

    Edgar,

Configure the pool of addresses as something different from these two networks, as I said in my previous post.

IP local pool vpnpool 192.168.3.1 192.168.3.254

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you

This feature is only supported when you connect to a VPN3K box, its not available for PIX/IOS as a vpn server, allowing it on the client-side custom has no effect when you connect to a server of PIX/IOS.

  • Hub VPN3030 as server EzVPN configuration

    Hello

I want to configure the hub of VPN3030 as a server of EzVPN to C3845 router that will work as an EzVPN remotely. That's a good tech note that shows how to do this in the VPN3030? In addition, any ideas to set up the remote router for EzVPN is greatly appreciated as well. Thanks in advance.

    Keith

The following configuration example is between Cisco VPN 3000 and Cisco 1721 router. Configuration of the router should be more or less similar.

  • Remote SSH connection fall

    Hello

I have a Cisco 1721 I configured to allow SSH connections in the Internet router on port 2922. For some reason, the SSH connection randomly gets abandoned, most of the time in the middle of typing a command. I don't think it is related to the length of time that I have in the router because I can't rest, usually more than 4 minutes. Any kind of help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Brandon

Hello.. I have my doubts about your static NAT configurations... If you change the access list applied to the ethernet0 (102) and allow ssh (port 22) you can ssh on port 22 of the router E0 IP address Outside... ? .. If the connection is stable and you can then your static NAT might be the cause of the problem.

I hope this helps... Please, write it down if that is the case!
