Wireless and network of comments and HREAP

Hello

I inherited a wireless infrastructure that consists of a head office with WCS and WLC more LWAPP access points.

There is a satellite office in another city who want to deploy a wireless infrastructure and it seemed to me like they want to only deploy a couple of AP that HREAP would be good to use this senario.

However, they also want to use the network without comment thread that we at Headquarters but I don't want their guest to come to our DSL modem that we have put in place for the guest HO wireless traffic. The two offices are connected via a MPLS who no longer have need of traffic thereon.

Is it possible to set up the HREAP and the WLC and WCS so that auxiliary office broke out locally for comments and even the admin Hall to HO can control the password?

Thank you very much

Hi Nell,

the feature you're looking for is "local switching REAP H."

So, you can set the access point remote mode H-REAP (which optimizes for "behind a WAN link") and from there, you can define multiple SSID as "local switching.

This means that everything related to the phase of authentication is managed by WLC, but after authentication, traffic fell locally to the AP and not transit through the WLC.

Guest SSID must be enabled for local switching, and then, on the APs REAP H, go to the configuration of the AP (in tab 'Wireless' WLC, then click ap) and on the hreap tab, you can configure the vlan where the traffic of comments will be abandoned at the remote site. It must be a vlan that exists on the remote site, and users will receive a DHCP address on this vlan.

Kind regards

Nicolas

  • Extend a network of comments with AEBS and TC set up a connection

    Hi all-

I was wondering if anyone has had any success with that extends a network invited on two airports or more that are wired together.  I use currently a Time Capsule as my main router (802.11ac), and have it configured with DHCP and NAT like fashion.  It connects via a connection wired to an Airport Extreme Base Station (802.11ac), which is set in Bridge mode and configured with a static IP address to the primary time Capsule.  The time Capsule is configured with a network of comments that is fully functional, and the AEBS extends the primary network using the same SSID and encryption on 2.4 and 5 GHz.  However, when I turn on the AEBS remote networking reviews, I can connect to the AEBS, but cannot obtain an IP address (the computer displays an automatic address assigned).  The SSID and the encryption is the same for both networks of comments.  I tried to use "extend a wireless network" on the AEBS and that will extend the network, but it is extremely slow due to the wireless connection it creates between two access points (I have the TC and wired together AEBS to offer increased coverage, because my house is not very "friendly wifi").

I would greatly appreciate any help or insight anyone can provide, even if it's to tell me that a cable extension of the network of comments is not possible.

    Thank you

    Mike

Wired to the guest network feature extension is indeed possible and should be implemented and enabled automatically if you are using "Assistant" Installation from Apple to expand the networks main and guests.

I had this set up on the 2 airports and sometimes 3 for a few years and not a single hiccup.

Suggest that you reset the AEBS back to default settings and then use configuration Apple "Wizard" to set up the AEBS again. It automatically adapts the AEBS to expand networks main and guests.  Everything you really need to do is enter a name of device to the AEBS, the wizard takes care of everything else for you.  It is one of the simplest game ups ever.

Once you have the updated AEBS up and running, you can assign a static unit IP address if you want to, but it should not be necessary.

After the back if you need some advice on the use of the Apple Setup Assistant to do the work for you.

  • Problem with wireless - Vista Network and Sharing Center does not recognize my connection!

I use the Home Visa software and my network and sharing Center does not recognize my connection but I can access the internet without any problem. Previously, I was using a wireless router Linksys with an old box of AT & T internet with no problems. The problems started after I updated my AT & T internet box that made obsolete the linksys router and now the network share does not connect. I just have the problem of getting the network and sharing device recognizing that I am actually connected to a wireless network. I can't use my printer or share files with other people. I can't get my wireless printer to work if I restart my computer and I have the documents I want printed already sent to the printer. My network and sharing Center also works very well for a few seconds when I start my computer then it turns off again.

  • WIRELESS and wired LAN do not know each other

My internet provider installed a new cable modem, without capacity WIFI because I have an airport extreme base WIFI (with cable Express extensions).  Speed and quality are OK, wireless and wired, but there seems to be a wall of China between WIFI and wired (LAN): devices that are connected via a cable to my LAN are not visible from the wireless network and vice versa.  Airport extreme is not 'Bridge' mode ("because not of wireless on the new modem capability".)

No idea of the reasons for this?  Thank you very much

Sounds like the configuration of the device. With the airport devices it can operate as a device on the network or another firewall as its own network. I think that it is way jumpered to activate, this will allow you to configure the wireless on the airport, but your current router will do the DNS/DHCP and will be a single network.

Now that you have configured as two routers on an independent network as there is no bridge.

What type of modem do you have?

Do you hear an old style phone modem or a cable modem?

If you have a cable modem and it is not wireless, then you'll need to buy a modem wireless also has four LAN ports. Connect the WAN port on the router to the modem that provides your internet connection and then configure the SSID of the router and the wireless PC network card.  The easiest to install and configure is brands like Linksys and Netgear. Your PC with a built-in B/G wireless network adapter. Purchase of a high-tech Wireless-N Dual band Router router would be too much serious.

Last night I asked my laptop and this morning I woke up to the orange light of death on the front of the computer for the wireless and three newspapers of device Base system in the Device Manager. They run:

    Bus PCI 7, device 5, function 3

    Bus PCI 7, device 5, function 2

    Bus PCI 7, device 5, function 4

I tried making restoration of the system, the removal of the chipset drivers / wireless/network and reinstall in safe mode and the search for solutions to many other people tried to make their wireless work.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

    Hello:

You must download and install the Ricoh 5-in-1 card reader driver support for your laptop and driver page.

Go to Device Manager and expand network adapters.

Is the model of your wireless poster card he or she has completely disappeared from the Device Manager, does not come under the section of the network cards, or in the General list of devices such as a network controller?

If she disappeared from the view, 99% chance the connection from the motherboard to the card slot plugs into is fried.

This is a very common problem with the dv6000/dv9000 models.

  • HP Photosmart D110 - wireless and wired to installation - at the same time

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY THAT NO MATTER HOW MUCH DETAIL I SAY QUESTIONS. IF ALL OF THE OTHER INFO. IS NEDDED IT PLEASE LET ME KNOW.

Hello community I am undergoing, step by step, how can I set up my printer to a network via Wired and therefore any other device connected to that network can print from it.

I used to have my printer connected via connected to my main PC, but it soon came the need to print from other places in my house and I remembered that my printer has this great ability, so I wanted to know how, step by step. I tried to put in place by myself, but I couldn't, I myself helped with the HP Solutions and Guides, and somehow, I missed something.

    Details:

OS main PC: Windows XP 32-bit (it has the latest updates)
    Printer: HP Photosmart D110 one
    Router: Time Capsule from Apple

I uninstalled the printer from my computer, so don't be any errors.

Here's the deal, I want to connect my printer to my main PC via Wired (cable), once correctly installed, I want to connect this printer on my wireless (Network Time Capsule), so any other device connected to the network can print from it.

If someone can take the time to tell me how to do, step by step, with links from HP information. etc if necessary.

I already know how to set up a static for my printer IP address and all the stuff in IT, so don't worry, everything you say me that I understand it, all I need to know is what to do exactly, but the case is when (step by step).

    Thanks in advance.

Hello, I noticed that you said 'Network via Wired' and then he said "wireless. I will be happy to help you. Just to let you know, you can't be WIRELESS and NETWORK CABLE (Ethernet). You can be wireless and plug the main PC into the USB cable. So, here are the steps to download the drivers and the connection to your PC (USB) PRINCIPAL and others (wireless).

Connection to MAIN PC wired (USB)
    1. connect the USB cable from the printer directly to the main computer.
2 download the drivers from the Web site (http://goo.gl/BVOOg), or if you have the CD.

Note: whenever you download the software and drivers on the site. Be sure to choose the SOFTWARE from FEATURE COMPLETE.
    1. Select software and drivers
    2. type in the name of the product (click Search)
    3. choose the operating system (click Next)
    4. choose Download (scroll to the bottom for the SOFTWARE of FEATURE COMPLETE)
    5. After downloading the software, it will PULL
    6. it will give you an option on how you want that it connected
    7. you choose USB to the PC of the hand

    WIRELESS NETWORK connection
    1. go into your printer settings
    2. Choose Network
    3. Select wireless CONFIGURATION WIZARD
    4. it will search your router (if wireless). Choose your router and configure the printer wireless upward.
    5. go to other computers and follow the steps above to download the drivers.
    6. when it comes to SELECT connection, choose (without wireless/network)

In this way, you can print from your main PC via USB (wired) and the other wireless computers.

If your ROUTER is not wireless, and you can only use a wired (Ethernet) network, then you can print only by plugging the cable ETHERNET router to any PC of your choice print from the moment. Also to plug another cable from the router to the printer.

I hope this helps, if you need more help please ask, thank you.

Under wireless direct printing, I got the same error 0 x 00000057

After spending the time to check the settings, connections and asking
Why? I decided to see that if I could print the docs, I print a PDF file,
Notepad and Word documents in each application under the two
    configurations without problem.

Under the wireless connection, I started the Web Services module

I ran Print and Scan doctor who, to my surprise mentioned
a conflict of Driver, I welcomed this program to uninstall the driver,
went looking upward for the driver and the same driver was so done

    Always error message here.

I'm now tempted to delete a direct print wireless and see
What happens if the error disappears, if she does not unstall all
associated with the printer and do a clean reinstall. In case of emergency
is there an alternative to the use of the Web Service module to the setting
When not connected to the wireless network?

I think that the Panel of the printer would do this (I'll watch this later

spend enough time on it), or do I need to run Web Services to

direct wireless installation, just think about this, otherwise I'll shoot

a usb cable.  Maybe if I install Direct wireless on the printer control panel

the message will disappear as the installation of the printer program, not software

It is a minor problem since I can still print but question why!

See other issues about this error message I thought

spend my experience with this error.

Always had a number of things to think and try, once again.

If your getting this error message I would suggest trying a test page printed

is the answer to the error message 0 x 00000057 or 0x00000xx

associated with the driver? Or just the 0 x 00000057?

Could not find a list of drivers between the driver and

  • Problems with HP Photosmart C309g wireless and wired

    Hello

I fought with my C309g since I bought it a few months before.  It works on and outside, but can not hold a consistent network connection.  I have wired it usually but have tried both wireless.  It is plugged directly into my Netgear router.

Before it works for a short period of time and the other Offline Online & on its own.  Sometimes it recognizes the other computers on the network to print & analyses.  I have 3 PCs on the network - two cables & a wireless.  It will recognize the three rarely, two of them sometimes, one of them sometimes (usually the laptop wireless) and none of these most of the time.

There each time than in quite awhile for the first month and now it does not appear at all on the network - wired or wireless.  I can't print and more.  The documents simply to sit in Quebec for a while and then produce an error.

Any help appreciated.  This printer is a wholemeal bread.

    Thank you

    Gringeiro

    Hi Gringeiro,

You use the wireless WEP or WPA security on your router?  I would recommend WPA2 with AES, well, if you want to connect wireless.  It will also, if you set a static IP address on the printer.  You can do this by typing the IP address of the printer in the address bar of your browser.  Select the network tab, and then look for IPV4 under the section of wired or wireless, depending on how you have connected it.  There should be an option to "suggest manual IP".  If this isn't the case, type IPCONFIG from the command prompt (start/run cmd) to get your addresses in the subnet and the gateway.

  • Wireless and wired router, DHCP and "visibility".

Okay, it's a bit complicated, but I'll explain better than I can.

I have a wired Linksys RV082 router. It works very well but is not wireless.  I have a Cisco/Linksys E2500 wireless router for my wireless devices to use.  the RV082 is the network of 192.168.1.x. The E2500 is the network of 192.168.0.x.  Cable Internet goes to the RV082 Wired, and a line out from there to the wireless router.  This all works fine except for a few disadvantages.

I have an iPad that connects wireless and some of the apps offer a http:// option, so I can transfer files to this application.  I also have a network printer connected to wired and wireless devices do not.

    I have 2 problems:

    (1) in order to transfer files from my laptop (that I hung on the cable network most of the time), I disconnect the wire, wireless, then I can transfer files.  Œuvres, but it's embarrassing.

    (2) I want a netbook that I have on the wireless connection to print on my printer wired network.

It seems that the 2 networks do not see each other.  Here are the things I've tried:

    (1) I disabled DHCP on the wireless router.  My thought is that requests for an IP address to the wireless router has sent will be transmitted along my wired router... NOT.  On my iPad and Wii, they could no longer connect wirelessly. Strangely enough, with the disconnected wire and wireless connection with my laptop, I've still was getting a 192.168.0.x IP address, even if the DHCP service is disabled on the wireless router.

    (2) thinking I would put manually the wireless router on the 192.168.1.x network, instead of saying things to get an Internet connection IP dynamicaly, I manually the IP value is 192.168.1.245.  Serious mistake.  I couldn't connect at all anywhere then.  The only way I could fix it was to hang on to my laptop computer, assign a static IP address to my laptop on the same network as the router, then I was able to get to the configuration page and to put things like he was.

Another thing... Even when I'm connected only plugged on my laptop and wireless is disabled, I ping 192.168.0.1 (the wireless gateway) and it returns a value. But, when I try to go in a browser, I get a "page not found" error

So, how can I get these two networks to play well and see each other?

    Thank you

    Jesse

Put the router E2500 'bridge' mode and it will transmit the RV082.

Assign E2500 DHCP, an IP address for itself of thje RV082, it will just be for access to the web administration E2500. System powered via the E2500 wired or wireless IP addresses will be obtained from the DHCP server on the RV082, and these will all be on the same subnet as designed to be plugged into the side of the RV082 LAN.

Should allow you to do exactly what you want to do.

I have a similar setup here works well with an E4200V2 right now.

  • How to set up LAN wireless and wired for simultaneous operation

I use a Lenovo thinkpad running windows XP. I want to set up an independent network so that I can connect my hardware for debugging. At the same time, I want to be able to access the corporate network using the wireless interface.  My autonomous network consists of a Belkin router that is to act as a DHCP server, my laptop connected to a port on the router and my test material connected to a different port on the router. My wireless interface is configured to connect to the corporate network. With wireless interface and the ethernet interface (wired) enabled, when I am doing a config ip, I see that the devices get valid IP address, corresponding to subnets, they connect to IE the ethernet port gets IP address 192.168.x.x 172.x.x.x IP poster wireless interface while. But I am not able to ping or access sites on the internet, I am able to ping the router Belkin on the independent network.

However, if I go under network connections and disable the ethernet connection to the local network can access the internet and my business network. Similarly, if I disable the wireless connection and that you enable the ethernet connection, so I am able to ping the router only and not my test equipment connected on the same subnet.

If I configure the (wired) ethernet network interface to use a static IP address in the pool of IP from the router Belkiin (who is also a DHCP server) and set the IP Address of the Belkin router as gateway, I can access all the other devices on this local subnet if and only if the wireless interface is disabled.

The search for networks order is defined as the wireless and Ethernet.

In my case, I need two interfaces to be active at the same time, as explained at the beginning. Appreciate any suggestions.

    Thank you.
