Wireless button locked out

I have a Touch Smart tm2. The wireless button is locked at the STOP. I tried to unplug the home network and reset (all other network equipment I have has no problem connecting with the exception of the tm2). Help, please. Thank you

Rpellery,

Do you have deactivated and then reactivated the NIC within the parameters of the advanced card? You can do a right click on the network icon in the lower left corner of your screen and choose then open Network & Sharing Center. Here you will find the 'the adapter advanced settings' on the left side of the window.

All you have to do is now right click on the wireless network and choose disable. Give it a few moments and then reactivate the card. Here's a good article on Microsofts Web site to troubleshoot network adapter: Troubleshooting network connection problems

I hope this helps!

  • Wireless button remains orange. Lights on.

Hi there, I'm having some problems with my laptop recently. The wireless won't turn on no and stays out of little matter how many times I press the button of the wireless switch which is above the keyboard, remaining always this color orange relics indicating that the wireless is disabled.

Number and name of the product: Compaq Presario CQ50-215 - 215 CA

Operating system: Windows Vista 32 - bit OEM

(As appropriate) error message : error no. a little. First time I press the wireless button, the popup Assistant wireless HP says "WLAN: Off '. I have a second time and wrote "WLAN: Disabled" and the cycle repeats when I press on it a bunch of times.

Any changes made to your system before the issue occurred: that's what I think the problem is a few days before my wireless doesn't work anymore, I had my battery disconnected and just running off the AC adapter. My father accidentally disconnected my AC while it was spend vacuuming the living room. At the STATION, I got a cmos checksum error message. Computer started normally with an incorrect time/date in the bios, but at the time when internet was still functioning. Fast forward to a few days later, my wireless and then stops working.

    Other info/Thins, I tried

-J' I goto manage network connections-> there is a red x on my wireless network connection icon but on click right he said he his 'active' with only the option to disable. Click on diagnose and he said: "on this computer's wireless capability is turned off."

-J' I goto the Atheros AR5007 802. 11 b / g WiFi adapter properties screen and the device status says "this device is working properly.

-I go into the Device Manager and theres no "!" or whatever it is on my network cards.

-Tried to get into the bios and see if there was something on my adapter wireless that has been disabled, but the only thing I could find was an option in the boot order allowing to map internal network starts when the laptop starts. Tried to activate / deactivate options, and nothing really happened.

-I can still take an ethernet cable and I work ok on my Wired internet.

-Tried to uninstall the driver/restart the computer. Upon restart, it reinstalled the drivers but the wireless still won't turn.

At this point, for me, it seems that it is a hardware problem and kinda outta luck. Had this laptop about 3 years and a little really need yet for the school. Can anyone suggest what I can still check/fix?

I'm locked out of my ipod5 that I have not used for a long time, it is not connected to the Internet or iTunes is anyway can I unlock? In my opinion, it works on IOS8. Because I have not used in a long time, it has reset and does not connect to the wifi until I unlock, and I forgot the password to unlock it. I tried to clear up my iPhone but it requires Internet and iPod can not connect to Internet ithe, I also tried to restore the 'home' button and the lock button while connected to iTunes on my computer and that did not work either... Please let me know if I haven't tried something or have missed something.

    Thank you

You have to follow the instructions for the erasure or use recovery mode in iTunes again. . You do not specify what happened when you tried to follow these instructions, or instructions for iTunes, which you tried to follow, but you will be able to exit the mode disabled via iTunes if you do not have Wifi:

the call is completed on the other side, the iPad has jumped into the lockscreen.

But the restrictions of the child are still on. Outside of the FaceTime app.

but the lockscreen does not allow me to push the code to turn off the child lock.

  • Key wireless button does not

    Hi Mark,

Please contact technical support group of the manufacturer of your computer and/or forum with the specific brand, model and serial number or service of your computer code (phone, chat, email, articles, knowledge bases, guides the user manuals, forums, troubleshooting guidelines,...).

It would have really helped to know the manufacturer, brand or specific model (not only the family of models but the exact model) of the computer that you're talking about (as well as the operating system.  Without that, I can only provide the following search options which are certainly generic but can help or you can modify as appropriate to better target your situation (including the specific computer model or something else):

    http://www.Bing.com/search?q=Wireless+Button+not+Working&QS=n&Form=QBRE&PQ=Wireless+Button+not+Working&SC=5-27&SP=-1&SK=

    http://www.bing.com/search?q=how+to+enable+wireless+button&form=O1FD2

    http://www.Bing.com/search?q=How+to+Bypass+Wireless+Button&QS=n&Form=QBRE&PQ=How+to+Bypass+Wireless+Button&SC=0-29&SP=-1&SK=

Another option would be to check that the wireless works for other devices (the possibility that the problem is the router rather than on the computer) or with the laptop (so) at a kiosk computer to see if you can connect (which suggests a problem with the router or the configuration of your network as opposed to the computer or the button).

You can also try to set up a new wireless connection on the computer and see if it works better.

The out rule, I would update the networking and device manufacturer keyboard drivers to see if that solves the problem (and it may not hurt to get the updates anyway).

I've never used a computer with a key/button, so I don't know where to look.  Instinctively, I would try to control panel / Device Manager to see if there are any problems detected it (red circles, triangles yellow, white points mark) and see if you can find the associated devices and confirm that they say they work very well without any problem, then check the network configuration and control center for options.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • HP Mini: locked out of my hp mini

I am somehow locked out of my HP Mini. It asks for a password and I never had a password. This model REPLACEMENT-I57C

    PLEASE HELP THANKS

    Hello

You can remove the need for a power on password as follows:-use the code from my previous post if necessary.

Shut down the laptop.  Now on TAP the ESC key as soon as you press the power button to access the start menu, then select f10 to open the Bios menu.  Use the arrows to select the Security tab and press ENTER.  Use the arrow keys again to highlight the power on password and press ENTER.  Enter the current password (use the code in my previous post), and then the new password, simply leave this blank and press on enter - do the same for the confirmation field.  Press f10, select this option to save the new settings and press to enter.

    Kind regards

  • OfficeJet 6700: Officejet 6700 locked out of Control Panel

I just bought this printer for my office a week ago, and has put in place for the wireless network, everything worked very well.  Over the weekend, it seems he dropped the Wi - Fi connection and when I went to restore it, I am locked out most of the settings and said that the administrator (me) locked their (no) when it was put in place.

I plugged in an ethernet cable and I am still not able to enter the web page of the printer to access these settings.  On ethernet, I cannot ping the device from any other computer on the network.  How can I obtain this lock out of here? I'm almost ready to return this thing, it's ridiculous.

Hello @ArcticMoet and welcome to the Forums of HP, I hope you enjoy your experience!

  • (F12) wireless button?

Howdy, waiting for my new PC this Monday, Apr 25...

    X-64 Home Premium Windows 7
    Quad core i7
    SSD 32 GB cache
    NVIDIA 650 m
    A3F49AV

I do not see a specific driver (on downloads pages HP driver for this model) for the wireless button as there are on the dv6t-7300 desire running Windows 8.   If I had to install Linux Ubuntu LTS 12.04.2, can I expect the wireless button to work without any problem?  I've read reports where the wireless button does not work on envy dv6t-7300 Win 8 after installation of Ubuntu.

    RDL

Well, the PC arrived today.   Wireless button F12 working properly in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS using LiveCD.   BIOS is an option for Legacy bootable media turned on at the factory.   There is a Secure Boot option but it was disabled and grayed out.    MBR not GPT and all 4 partitions in use:

1 System NTFS of 199 MB

    2 C: 676,67 GB NTFS

    3 recovery 21,66 GB NTFS

    4 HP tools Fat32 108 MB

    Everything seems to work perfectly!

I will try to load Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.    I could copy the partition HP tools on a USB key, and then delete it and use it for Ubuntu.   Or I could try to disable the function Rapid Storage Technology, re - format the 32 GB of SSD and put Ubuntu.   However, response to the original question on this post.   I would mark this [SOLVED} if I knew how.

  • Z90D7 Bios locked out

    Z90D7 Bios locked ort

I have a new Thin Client Z90D7 that took its Bios password locked out. We tried the default password: Fireport

This does not work for us. Does anyone know what should be the Bios password?

    The unlock key is: C2BAC631

Thanks for any help you may be able to offer...

    2KWK4U

    Wow! No responses LOL!

I actually found the problem. He was not with the password Bios "Fireport" itself, but the Wyse keyboard accompanying the Thin Client Z90D7.

The keyboard has a manufacturing defect which depresses the key 'G' each time you press the button "T". A drop test good with the keyboard, released what was causing the problem, and I'm back in business...

  • Why my Apple ID several times to lock out "for security reasons" every day or 2?

Why my Apple ID several times to lock out "for security reasons" every day or 2? This is getting very frustrating. I had to change my password 5 times in the last week. Anyone have any ideas?

This means that someone is trying to access your Apple account.

  • Establishment of an iPad after having been locked out but did not recall what is my Apple ID or password.

Basically, I'm trying to help my sister in law with his iPad. She had initially forgotten its password to enter his iPad and if she got locked out. I googled how to reset and so I have connected the iPad to a laptop and went through iTunes (without signature). Now that the iPad has been swept clean it is now the scene of reactivating...

I typed in the country, wifi etc and now he asks the Apple ID and password that was used to set up the iPad initially that she can't remember. She does not know what email address she used and she forgot her password. I searched for centuries now what can someone help!

Is still connected to the account anywhere so that she can get him? Or she has none of the downloads of the account in the computer's iTunes library so that it can do "get info" on them and see the id? If not already tried it: If you have forgotten your Apple - Apple Support ID ?

If she can still find, and she was the original purchaser of the iPad (i.e. he not was purchased used), she might try to go to an Apple Store (it should take an appointment-Genius Bar if she does) or try to contact iTunes Support Online (https://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html) and see if they can remove the iPad on the account - they are likely to want to see proof of ownership before they could help for example an original receipt with the serial number above
