Wireless card driver?

My laptop connects to the internet without problem when I'm at home, but at work, my connection is horribly slow. The other 2 people on our wireless network at work have no problem connecting. When I connected with an ethernet cable, you're good. The problem might be with my driver for the wireless card?

Hi Emily,.

This problem may be caused by the following reasons:

O your computer is too far from the access point or wireless router.

Ø the access point or wireless router is disabled or is not working properly

Ø there is interference from other devices.

I suggest you to refer to the methods and check if it helps.

    Hello

Hope someone can help, I can't get a driver to work for the card wireless in this laptop, I tried some different drivers now and none doesn't seem to work, I always left with a yellow question mark in device for Ethernet Manager comtroller (and PCI device).

Appreicate if someone could point me in the right direction, I have tried all the drivers on the Toshiba driver download site with no luck. I have to go to the website of intel, perhaps? If Yes, how can I find out what model Intel wireless card I have.

    Appreciate any help

    Thank you.

Are you sure that you need a WLan driver?

Ethernet controller can be a LAN card too.

First check that the card has been recognized in the Device Manager.
If the network adapter is then you certainly need a WLan card.

I think you should check out if you can install the Atheros WLan driver because it might be possible that your laptop was equipped with Atheros 11 b/g wireless network card.

Check out this page of WLan from Toshiba:

  • My laptop says that my wireless card driver is not installed?

I had to reinstall my OS about three weeks ago because my laptop crashed. The wireless card works perfectly until I reinstalled. I reinstalled each program and the driver delivered with the laptop, but my wireless card still does not work. I even tried to go to the dell website and download the driver from their site, but it still does not work. Can anyone help?

No, you do not have something wrong unless Dell offers more than one wireless adapter for your model and you download the wrong drivers. No doubt the computer works now, Yes? The error description you gave indicates hardware problems, not problems of software. So maybe your wireless adapter is defective and contact technical support Dell's next. • HP 15-r240tx: wireless card driver not install (missing)?

    Hello world

Recently I bought HP 15 - r240tx (FREE DOS) from Flipkart, I installed windows pro 8.1 as soon as I received the laptop.

I downloaded all the drivers from the HP driver page and installed most of them.

My nvidea, audio, display, usb etc drivers work fine but my Wireless card is not.

I tried the realtek driver, but it is said that the network cable is not connected.

"" On the help desk, it gives the same error: "connect a cable Ethernet in this computer"

Also the button on the wireless keyboard is always on (white) and never goes.

I'm confused, am I missing a driver or something? Can I still a wireless adapter?

I would be happy to provide more information...

    Thank you.

    Hi @Gauravdeep .

    Thank you for your response.

Your network card should not be listed in the other category.

I suggest that you remove the network device and unknown in the other category.

Then search for the hardware changes.  This should then list the network under network adapter.

Once this has been accomplished, ran the HP Support Assistant to find the drivers for your network card.

    Good luck!

Today, Dell released a new driver for the wireless card: Intel Dual Band Wireless - 8260 Driver AC, W10

I tried to install, but it will not be installed. The platform not supported. (Exit Code Name: ERROR_INSTALL_PLATFORM_UNSUPPORTED).  My device driver lists my wifi as card: Dell Wireless 1820 has 802 .11AC

We remove installed driver software, and then install the Intel? Otherwise I do not know why Dell offers this update driver for a machine that does not have the Intel inside card.

  • can hoe I get my laptop to read my wireless card? I reinstalled the driver after that someone removed it but it stiil can't find my wifi

I have a Toshiba Satellite l655 laptop and it does not find my more wireless card, it has just stopped working. I think my ex-husband has deleted the drivers.  I thought I could just reinstall the driver to resolve the problem.  Is it possible that my card just died and I need to install a new one.

Any driver is provided on the support site of Tosh specific to your model.

It's a little difficult to remove a driver, unless its actually a wi - fi wi - fi card is integrated on the motherboard.
