Wireless configuration of HP Deskjet 3050 for new config router

Hello, I recently changed the settings on my router (SSID, WEP key) and now I discovered that my wireless printer is not connected to the network more. Before the change, I had no problem connecting to the printer, but now, the only way I can do it is via USB.

I printed the printer wireless test report; It is said that the printer cannot find the access point. However, my router SSID is displayed in the list of detected networks.

I tried to start the wizard without wire supplied with the CD, I couldn't do but it assumes that the configuration is over cause I already have all the software and drivers installed. I guess that by completely removing the printer drivers and software would allow me to enter the wireless assistant, but I think it should be easier and more elegant way.

How can I launch the wireless assistant?

Or better yet: How can I manually configure settings wireless to the printer when it is connected via USB?

The network diagnostic utility has been of no use either, because the printer is not connected to the network.

Thanks a lot for your advice,

Andrés

PS: My modem is not WPS enabled (at least I think so... it is an old model, a ZyXel Prestige 600).

Well, I reinstalled the latest drivers and this time I had the possibility to manually set the printer's ip address and the subnet mask. Then I used the ipconfig/all command to discover these values, and finally the printer works.

It would have been nice to have the option to do the manual configuration of the beginning...

OK, I don't know what is happening with the download.  Let's go help out the manual process that I have described above.

Yes, you can type your password in the router's wireless - it's the only way he'll be able to join your network.

When you turn on the printer (the first time out of the box), the wireless network it broadcasts only 40 or 60 minutes.  Then it turns off.

To re - start the broadcast, do step 1. in the instructions.

  • DeskJet 3050 connects to the router.

I use a new HP Deskjet 3050 J610 out of the box (comes with a laptop purchase student a few years ago and was never used) with a MacBook Pro with OS X 10.9.1.  I configured the printer via a USB port by following the instructions and it worked well because the driver is preloaded in the latest version of Apple, but when I try to connect to my Belkin router the printer times out.  I ran the diagnostic page and the SSID names do not match.  I can't find a way to change the SSID the printer connect manually.  There is no HP folder on my computer that would normally House the printer configuration information.  I've looked through all the documentation on HP and can't find anything that tells me how to enter the establishment.  Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Found the answer in an answer to a question on the HP Deskjet 3054.  Worked for my system, too, so I'm running.

  • DeskJet 3050 j610a - new router; no longer can print wireless.

Hi all. Am 66 & new to computers and the forums. I'll try to be brief, but I want to describe my problem as precisely as possible. I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite C655, HP3050 j610a printer wireless, Windows 7, 32 bit OS and Google Chrome is my browser. For the past 2 years I had wireless printing problem with my Westell 7500 router. Then my ISP (Verizon) gave me a D-Link 2750 B. My laptop connected to the internet via my wireless right now, but the impression is only possible via the USB port.

Reads the error message: "your printer could not join the wireless network - Mac address filtering can be enabled on your wireless router. (I checked & it is not). Then I printed a wireless network Test report and the header reads as follows: "your HP printer cannot find your access point. Verify that your access point is turned on. Make sure that your network (SSID) HP printer name exactly matches your network name of the access point (SSID). If they do not exactly match, run wireless network setup to set up your HP printer. In addition, under the Diagnostics summary, it reads: 'Network Name (SSID) Found = FAIL.

What I've tried so far: uninstall & reinstall all of the HP software (Via the website of hp), router cycle power & printer, printer reset to factory, looked inside the router & all seems OK. I did a search on Google for this problem and got more confusing and complicated explanation I was looking for... all the way to subnet masks; whatever it may be. I'm at the point now (and please correct me if I'm on the wrong way) I think I should try manually turn on the network news in the printer or get an IP printer. Neither of which I know how to do.  Is there a way to look inside my printer settings I look inside my router settings... and how?

In my opinion, it has become much more complicated than necessary and I'm probably overlooking the obvious here. Any help would be greatly appreciated, but please respond to me as if I was in 3rd grade! (Although as a student of 3rd would probably have figured this out already)!

    Thank you

    Larry

You can look in the printer for the first time after it has been reset only.

On the front of the printer: Wireless > default settings.  Now, on your PC connect wireless network printer that starts with "HP."... »

Print a network Test Wireless in the menu on the front of the printer wireless to get its IP address.  Type the address in the browser address bar to reveal the internal settings of the printer.

  • How to install wireless on / to the deskjet 3050 a printer

The configuration of the printer menu offers only two options... Press a butoon wps on the router or type in a PIN of the printer in the software of the router configuration. My Linksys router doesn't have a button to push for wps, and the configuration config software has no place to enter a PIN. In fact I don't never came across a router with these options.

The network uses wep authentication open with a key. How can I configure this printer?

    Hello

Just start installing this printer on the computer and choose network as the connection type, the software will ask you to connect a usb cable and the network settings will be done through the usb cable, leave it connected until the software tells you to unplug it.

Turning to the WPS, routers new most are supported by this feature, either throug a button or an axis method, my own cheap sitecom router has a wps button even.

Regarding the security of your network using WEP encryption, I suggest that you upgrade to WPA security. WEP is really outdated and is also useful as no encryption. For example, WEP encryption can be broken with free software within 10 minutes.

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that you have some problems with the connection of your Deskjet 3050 has e-all-in-one printer to your computer Mac OSX 10.11. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

    1. Turn the printer off:
    2. While the printer is turned off, disconnect the power cable from the back of the router for a minute.
    3. When the lights come back on the router, turn on the printer.
    4. Disable any antivirus, firewall or security of your Mac software.
    5. Try to run the installer.

Please let me know the results after following the above. If you are able to print to the printer, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • Wireless on HP Deskjet 3050 a - J611 radio

    Hello world!

I had my HP Deskjet 3050 a - J611 wireless printer set up sometimes too before on two different networks.

But I have moved and deed of sale to set up again...

Initially through the push button method he was always trying to connect to my SSID old so I put every thing to the original settings.

But now I get an error code saying I turn on my radio wireless to the printer.
To the best of my knowledge, I have: configuration > wireless > wireless settings > wireless switch

    Any ideas?

    mruttle,

If you are looking to perform the replacement step to get the new information from the network, then no.

The heart of the problem is that the printer indicates the wireless radio is off and there is no network name for your printer.  The SSID of the printer, when the network is present, must have HP in the name making standout from other networks.

On the printer, go wireless > settings > default network.  Accept the prompt to reset the default settings.

Most of the printers to disable radio wireless as a default setting.  Press the wireless button again.  If she turns in the lower right corner, go ahead and select this option.

Now, go to the computer and search for a wireless network.  Is there a network name that inside HP or reflects your printer model?  If so, connect to the network, open a web browser and go to 192.168.223.1.  From there on, the previous steps should work.

    Let me know what happens.

  • HP Deskjet 3050 has J611 series watch in trouble with wireless printing

    Hey there,

I have just a series of combat a HP Deskjet 3050 printer a J611 and wireless printing to work perfectly. However, for the last week or so is no more.

The printer is connected to the network, as the result of the wireless network test is proven and it is the same network that the laptop is connected to. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the software. The wireless light is on and I can see the signal strength and the IP address. However, it still works.

I also I sent an email to the printer to see if it worked. Initially, I received an automated email saying my printer is not connected to the internet and then printing will be delayed. I didn't touch the printer after that, but about 6 hours later it started to print.
I also tried to connect the printer with a USB key and configure settings wireless via USB does not work either. The computer cannot find a printer connected to the network. There is no firewall blocking the application or the printer.

    My settings:

    Router broadband wireless ADSL2 + -.
    Huawei EchoLife HG521
    TalkTalk
    Laptop - Medion Akoya E7214
    32-bit operating system
    Windows 7 Home Premium

Help with this would be much appreciated! Thank you!

    Larissa

I doubt disturbed the other printer.  Kaspersky can be a problem, but we're going to explore other things first.

We will set an IP address of the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') 250
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.

  • How can I configure a Deskjet 3050 a/J611 to my Chromebox?

    HP Deskjet 3050 J611 a.

-Installation of the printer, and once, he printed the alignment page.

-Went through the menu of the printer, but it has no option to print the "Backgrounder". All I could get it to print is the configuration sheet, who has no listed email.

-Went to set up the printer in the Google Chrome browser settings, but just me links to HP site.

-No instructions on how to use this printer with a Chromebox/Chromebook in the manual. HP offers Linux drivers, but never on their drives, but the Chromebox not the CD, of course. And wow, is that printing is really small for my eyes to 50 years.

-Says it is connected wireless and printing confirms that, even if I also have the USB cable connected to the Chromebox.

-Google offers no support, just pushes me on the HP site, who asked me to connect using my "new email eprint.

What do I do? Thank you!

The problem is that this printer is set up via the USB port, or something called automatic wireless. The autowireless configuration requires a windows or mac computer to connect.

The alternative is the WPS configuration method, if your router supports you in the menu on the printer wireless, there should be a WPS option, and then when you have pressed OK than thr push button on the router. This allows to bind together the two devices, and the printer will have a full connection.

There is another alternative, but it can be hit or miss.

In the menu of the printer wireless, it takes an option to restore the default settings, select it.

Soon in your chromebox if you look at available networks, you should see a network for your printer, probably scored something like HP-printing-3050, connect to that.

In your web browsers address bar type in 192.168.223.1 - it should load a Web page for the printer.

Here you should be abl to go to the top network, then wireless on the left, there should be a wireless Assistant to put your network name and password.

After that, you should be able to get information page for web services, and then use google cloud print to print from the chrome box.
