It's pretty sweet. I didn't know that my current loan of the HP spectrum 13-3000 CTO Ultrabook product had this feature. You will need to have an HDTV with a built-in wireless adapter to connect to when project you from your laptop. You may need to buy a wireless adapter for streaming to your HDTV, usb port.

  • Toshiba 40TL938 - connection Intel Wireless Display does not work

    Hi all

    Recently, I bought a Toshiba 40TL938 TV.

As far as I understand it's WiDi capable so there WiDi adapter receiver bulit and could function as a wireless display.

I managed to test the WiDi connection and tried with my portable Leovo T420, who is also capable of WiDi.

I installed all the updates for gfx and wifi, activated my Wifi addon and installed Intel WiDi application. This is all required and everything went well.

I've updated the software in my TV for last available via Wifi update (July 2013)

Unfortunately - no success at all. Laptop is not TV. The TV Setup is quite obvious and sophisticated couldn't do anything there.

TV is able to connect to my wifi network and see T420 on network (because he sees as DLNA network drive). Computers laptops direct Wifi works well with other devices.

Is there something I don't understand or hurt? Is TL938 WiDi capable because he has receiver WiDi built in or it is just compatible with external dongles WiDi?

If the answer is yes then the second question technical specification for this TV is very bad - it's not WiDi enabled TV at all and it is misleading.

    Welcome,

    Hello

The TV is certainly capable of Intel WiDi.

You said your Intel driver and tools are p so far, but I would still recommend check update of Intel Support page:

  • U2713HM, does not connect to Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter?

I can't find instructions anywhere to connect this monitor to the graphics card.

I hooked it up to my USB & HDMI on the bottom of the screen.

I changed to import HDMI monitor.

Said the Surface Pro 3 to connect

He scanned for wireless screens and found nothing

Pushed the reset button on Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter for 10 seconds

I don't think that there is power to my USB ports.  Is there something I need to turn on the monitor to make this thing work?

OK, according to ManuelU2713HM, upstream of U2713HM USB cable must be connected to a USB port on a computer.

So if you have a laptop, connect the cable upstream U2713HM USB. Then test the Microsoft Wireless Adapter Display without the extension. Just use the U2713HM HDMI and USB.

  • Wireless networks are not displayed!

Just replace a hard drive in a friends address. I did a clean install of W7 and did all the updates via a wired connection.
My wireless network does not, any more than all the networks around me I see on my personal laptop.
No conflicts in Device Manager. Device is not working properly.
I can enter my network name and key to manually authenticate and connect, but it's not good to travel and use in public places.
I was not able to find a solution anywhere.

    Any suggestions?

Had to open cmd and run commands...
Empty and reset some things, restarted and seems to work now.

Your desktop PC specifications say nothing about Intel WiDi constituting a trait. Of the specification, it is not part of all of the function that the Office was delivered with.

  • Can I use Intel Wireless Display - Netgear PTV1000 on Satellite U400-157

I want to use the NETGEAR PTV 1000 wireless display device. The hammer on the Net says I should be able to use it if I change the operating system to Windows 7. I see that I need http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wtech/iwd/sb/CS-031059.htm Intel Wireless Display to use.

The Intel Wireless WifI Link 5100 wireless on the Satellite U400-157 is. Seems that it is not one that is required to run the PTV 1000? So an operating system for Win 7 can not allow me to use the PTV 1000?

  • Qosmio F750-Q10 - how to use Intel Wireless Display

    Hi all

My apologies if this has been posted somewhere but I can't find it if it has.

I have a Qosmio F750-Q10 laptop and have recently bought a Toshiba LED Smart TV, which includes the Intel Wireless Display.

I wonder if my laptop is able to use this piece of software that I tried to download the software from the Intel Web site and tried to install one.

    However, when I try to install, I get the error message;
    "Abandoned InstallShield.

This platform is not compatible with Intel Wireless Display"

Can someone shed light on this for me please?

    Thank you
    Steve

Intel is the leading company behind this feature and they have a very nice document describing the necessary components and software to be able to implement the WiDi.

  • Can I use Satellite R630 with Netgear and Intel wireless display technology

    Dear all,

I am a user of a Satellite R630-105 (processor i3 M350). I would use this laptop with Wi - Fi on my plasma on the wall display. Recently, I heard about Intel wireless display technology connected to the Netgear adapter as a possibility for wireless connection to the screen.

Can I use my computer with this technology? If so, what is the process? If not, is there an alternative, using cable is very inconvenient. I'm at the beginner level.

Thank you very much, to come.

  • Satellite L300-19Y - wireless LAN is not in the list of devices

Hi I need to throw this one out there incase I throw my pc a bridge...

I have a Toshiba Satellite L300-19Y which recently gubbed the HD, so I replaced and am trying to install XP SP3.

However, even with what i belive to be the correct drivers I can't seem to access my wireless LAN.
I installed most of the pilots involved, and have access to the Internet via the NIC with a connecting cable.
It was a struggle to get even, even if I really need a wireless...

At the moment the wireless device does not appear in the list of devices, although I can see my network card.
I have some thoughts on how to activate the wireless, I tried to install the driver manually wireless but didn't get any wherever I get a code 10 XP Shutdown response.

I've updated the BIOS, I have the latest drivers 8187b, I installed the kernel, the chipset, the display and audio drivers... etc.
I installed a new copy of XP but you have not installed all the drivers until I know that the correct procedure...

    Any ideas would be appreciated...

    Arghh!

    Andy

    Hello

You should try to activate the WLAN using the hardware on the laptop switch (must be defined on and with the combination of keys FN + F8.
    Did you do that?

In addition, you can get all the drivers for your laptop on the Toshiba site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com-online decision-making supported Downloads & => Download drivers

I assume that you have installed your laptop with a disc of Microsoft, so you should try it with the Toshiba recovery disc. It contains an image of the settings from the factory with all the drivers and tools. After that, everything should work fine on your laptop.

    Check it!

    Hello

To be honest, I never tried to connect my laptop to the TV with Intel® Wireless Display, but I found some information on the page from Intel:
    http://www.Intel.de/content/www/de/de/architecture-and-technology/Intel-wireless-display.html

Here's a nice HowTo movie created by Intel:
    http://communities.Intel.com/Community/Tech/intel_widi

    But the requirements are:

    CPU Core i7 - 620 M, i5 - 540 M, i5 - 520 M, i5 - 430 M, i3 - 350 M and i5 - 330 M
    In addition, you need Intel HM57, HM55-, - QM57 - or - QS57 - chipset
    And preinsatlled Windows 7.

Should check this with your laptop!

  • MOTORCYCLE G 2nd Gen - enable Wireless Display missing

I tried hard to project the screen of my phone Moto G 2nd Gen on my SONY Bravia TV. Help online through various forums, it seems that for the screen, an option "Enable wireless display" must be present on the screen Cast page to make the cast. It's missing (screenshot below). I saw this option on other Android phones.

Is it possible that I can use the screen Cast function without having to buy a device external cast? The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

No, if the option is not on the phone, then it was deleted. I think remember me Motorola commenting that there are performance problems with screen cast on the G and the feature has been removed.
