Wireless lag game wired pc startup

Hello

I recently started having a problem with lag wireless. I've set up a linksys router wrt54gl wireless and pluged my PC directly into it because it doesn't have a wireless card. Recently my roommate complain whenever I run a game on steam, it gets the offset, it is on a macbook wireless. Our internet high speed is 10 MB/s and im wondering if it is the router.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

It should not affect the good wireless speed. You can probably try to do is to change some parameters first wireless. You can change the channel on the router. Change it to either 1,3,6 and 9. If ever it is not resolved, you can try to reset the router and reconfigure the parameters and check again if you have the same problem.

  • C7250 connected wireless works with wired ethernet PC but not wireless PC

C7250 installs fine with static IP address and wired (ethernet) PC works perfectly, but is not recognized by the PC wireless.

Can ping the IP of the PC cable but not wireless computers.

Can connect to the IP address of the browser and can logon to the wired PCs of wireless computers.

When the wireless PC is connected to the network with ethernet cable the C7250 works perfectly.

Firewall is not the issue because I tested with the firewall disabled.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you for your help.

I FINALLY FOUND a RESOLUTION but let me describe what I've done to isolate the problem so that others will not do the same things I did.

I used my Windows CE PDA and connected to the wireless router. I made sure that IE could access a different print server wired for a Brother HL-2140 I 192.168.2.10 and it worked. Who checked out that IE was working with a wired device. I then went to Yahoo!, and it worked. Then, I tried to access the C7250 configuration using IP 192.168.2.20 address in IE and it failed. (I checked with my Wired PC I could have access to the configuration of C7250 via IE.) I expected this result.

Then I connected the PDA via USB and verified that I could use it to access the configuration of C7250 use IE on the PDA and it worked.

I then tested between two wireless PC. Could not connect to each other through the router. But if one of them has been wired and one wireless they connected and I have consulted the disks between computers. I also tested the two cables with the same results.

THE PROBLEM WAS IN THE ROUTER.

These tests again virtually eliminated all PC, firewalls (since I've tested with the firewall disabled), the C7250 and the print server for the HL2140 brother as being the source of the problems.

I then updated the firmware of the router to the latest version and repeated all the tests carried out in the complete thread and had the same results.

    RESOLUTION:
The router I was using was a Linksys WRT54GS Ver 1.

I also had a backup router which is a Linksys WRT54GS 7 worm that had the same settings as the Router 1 worm.

I changed the SSID of the original router (Ver 1) so I would not need to change the SSID in all my devices during testing with the router Ver 7.

I checked the firmware on the router worm 7 was the later and pulled up.

The first test I did was to use a ping wireless PC the C7250 192.168.2.20 and it worked!

I then used the wireless PC and IE to access the configuration of C7250 192.168.2.20 and it worked!

I then checked the port for the C7250 was still a TCP/IP port to 192.168.2.20 and sent a test page to the printer and it worked!

I consulted quickly wireless configuration C7250 and printer a test of a PC cable page and that worked!

Finally, I tested PC wireless wireless PC PCand wired PC and the dirves successfully in both directions and checked that PC wired to wired PC was still working as before.

All that remained was to supply two routers and router swap 1 worm with the Ver 7 router and rerun the tests with the router to Ver 7 manage my real network. Everything works as it should.

    I'll keep Router 1 worm as a backup to the Ver 7 knowing router unless the router worm 7 does not only feature that I lose when I reinstall the Router 1 worm is wireless connectivity to wireless, and I can temporarily work around until I get another router that is likely to be a "n" because what is have is ' G;

I see. Unfortunately, the failure of the short DST means that the hard drive needs to be replaced. The computer is still under warranty?

If so, you can contact HP Technical Support and ask them to send you a replacement. This replacement will come with recovery media. If you don't have an external CD drive, make sure you request a recovery rather than recovery disks USB. They should know that the model already, but, I would make sure. Once you have received the new hard disk, you will need to send the back of an old man in this same area, using the provided shipping label. • Connect a wireless printer anywhere, wired derivation convert, does not have radio, add WPA2 security.

Update- good because when the wireless radio failed to convert a wired Ethernet printer to wireless technology, or if you want your printer to support greater security WPA2 wireless.

Updated - connect to a hotel/motel/school dormitory may not work if the network uses Enterprise authentication requesting a user name and password on your computer.

This article will try to explain how to connect your wireless devices, including printers, to a wireless network when you are away from home.  The problem when you're in a hotel, motel, room student or other areas is your computer connects fine, but your wireless printer, you have brought with you, has connection/security problems.  Other people/wireless devices can find the printer on an open network, connect you to the printer and start printing without reason just because 'they can do. "

You'll need is a small wireless travel router.  TP-LINK TL-WR702N Wireless N Nano router or other router of trip is all you need.  The WR702N is available on eBay or Amazon for only $21.00, that's right, only $ 21.

This device does not support the authentication of company systems because it cannot meet any username and password prompts these system as your computer can.  However, it will connect to a standard WPA SSID and your computer, but if you receive a browser for other questions page redirect, it won't work.

It's a small powerful travel router which built in 5 modes of operation (more than your home router can do):

    1. AP mode
    2. Client mode
    3. Repeater mode
    4. Router mode
    5. Bridge mode

The TP-WR702N information is found here:

    http://www.TP-link.com/en/products/details/?model=TL-WR702N#over

To see the overview of applications see here first to understand:

    http://www.TP-link.com/en/products/details/?model=TL-WR702N#app

I won't go into the details on how to configure these modes in the TP Link router Nano as the manual does a great job.  One thing you must remember is that you must assign a static IP address on your wired Ethernet connection of computers to access the Web interface internal of the Nano.  The Nano is configured with an Ethernet cable at any time.  It's security that the router that has DHCP disabled so if you connect to a network, you won't crash it with an IP address conflict.  The Nano is powered by a USB cable and comes with a USB AC adapter too.

The IP address of the Nano is default 192.168.0.254.  Set your computers Ethernet Port, adapter not wireless, a static IP 192.168.0.1, 255.255.255.0 DNS address.  You have to find a way to do it yourself, but it is explained in the manual and on the web for the operating system of your computer.

This leaves your wired Ethernet connection to a static IP address and your adapter wireless DHCP.  Don't forget to put your wired to DHCP if you need to use it later for a wired connection.  Connect the Ethernet cable from your computer to the router Nano.

Set up your browser by going to 192.168.0.254 (Nano IP address) in the address bar and you'll get the username and password login screen.  The default username and password is admin/admin, you can change it if necessary.

    Set the Nano bridged mode:

Other modes will be mentioned later but for now; Bridge mode will serve as this isolates and creates your own SSID private the hotel/motel/dorm room open wireless network SSID.  In Bridge Mode you entrance and connect to the Rangoon SSID (paraphrasing) AND set up your own small network with your own SSID and password.  Your SSID will be separated and protected through WPA2-AES security that you set up.   You will be able to go online normally fine, but all of your devices will now connect to your private SSID.

    Example:

Hotel SSID: HILTON Hotel Paraphrase and password: GUEST

Nano SSID: MYNETWORK Nano Paraphrase/password: HP5514

With this information, the rest is easy.  You set your SSID private and password first, they you must find and connect to the SSID and password hotels.  Simply click on the SURVEY button and a list of all available networks will be displayed along with their MAC addresses.  Find the network SSID, you want to connect (bridge) too and click on "connect".  Information is entered automatically.  I suggest that you also edit your channel wireless on a fixed channel as the 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto '.

Save your settings and you will be told to restart the router.  Follow the instructions and always restart the router after any changes take effect.  This Nano restarts in 20 seconds approximately.

Now on your computer when you scan available networks, you will see MYNETWORK.  Connect your computer to the SSID and enter your HP5514 password and you're on!  Start surfing or something else.

Now, what about your printer?  The printer must be set to DHCP and assuming that you have a printer wireless with front panel:

    1. Go to (Assistant) wireless configuration screen.
    2. Search for available networks.
    3. Select: MYNETWORK
    4. Enter your password: HP5514
    5. To connect!

In about 15 seconds, you're connected!   Oh, guess what?  The Nano has a WAN/LAN port and in Bridge mode, it is a LAN port that is connected to your network too!  Then plug into a printer/computer Ethernet cable, if you wish.

Your printer will work as usual with no change at all.  I set up in my house to test and it connected perfectly to my HP5514 wireless printer.  All the tools, diagnostics, printer functions, alerts of ink were normal.

    You're done!

The bottom can be used anywhere to create a local private network so that you and others can use your printer.

Now, what about the changes?  If at home, you can use the Nano in Repeater mode to connect to your own network and extend the reach of all devices.  Even as the Bridge mode, but you're on your network using your SSID and the word normal, so everyone can use the printer.

Don't worry what you heard with speed of execution of a router in Repeater Mode.  Most routers House when running in wireless Repeater mode should be set to no encryption or WEP only.  Here max speed is 54 Mbps.  This Nano turns at full speed of 150 Mbps in these modes, using the highest security WPA2-AES (personal).

Remember that the size is small, so it's good to perhaps more than 50 feet.  HD video streaming was impeccable and surf watch video at the same time was perfect.

I hope this help you when business or vacation.  Some hotels charge for EACH device connection.  With the implementation above, it takes only a charge for multiple devices, such as cell phones, iPads, light fires, computers or anything else you want to connect.

EDIT - do not forget that this Nano device has an Ethernet connection that once configured, you can use to connect a wired computer or wired Ethernet printer.  It is a good radio your printer wireless doesn't have to convert a wired Ethernet wireless printer or if you want your printer to support greater security WPA2 wireless.

    Have fun!

  • Wireless, but not wired...

Hi, I just plugged my new Linksys WRT610n and configure settings wireless thanks to the manual installation. I tried using the disk as it insisted on the fact, but he told me the router is not connected.

This disturbs me because I managed to connect the router to change settings and update firmware via the ethernet connection, but for some reason, he refuses to let me use internet so wired. My personal computer that has wireless capability to connect wireless fine, however missing the family computer cable wireless so it is the only option for her. Operating system Windows xp if that helps any.

    Any help is appreciated muchly.

This is the reason why it will not connect using a wired connection, because of the entry door. How about the ethernet card uninstall and reinstall it with the updated drivers.

  • HP Photosmart Premium C309g-m the wireless to a wired PC

I have a Photosmart Premium C309g-m connected wireless to the local network, as are also several other computers (Windows and Mac). No problem here, just connect and print very well. I also have an older office (windows) connected the wired access point. How can I get the Office for printing/scanning on this unit? It seems that HP Office software doesn't give me a possibility to have the two devices connected to the access point or the two wireless. It's silly. It is a network printer, and I should be able to just connect at least with its IP address.

    What Miss me?

What is the model of your router?  Some routers have settings that prevent communication between the wired devices and wireless.  Here Network Diagnostics can help.

  • Wireless networks disappear minutes after startup

I start my desktop PC (Windows 7) and everything works fine. I am connected to my wireless router and have access to the internet.

Then a problem occurs, sometimes only 2 or 3 minutes later, sometimes around 5 or 6 minutes later.
The computer loses internet access, but remains connected to the network. After a few seconds, the internet is back.
After a few times, the computer finally loses the connection to the network, and then the network (as well as other networks that were in the range) is no longer there.
I am currently link this on my laptop which is right next to my office. My laptop is connected to the router wireless (and internet) without any problem.
I've been struggling with this for a while now and there are only a few hours, I deleted Norton anti-virus with the Norton Removal Tool. No change.

I just thought an idea. Before buying a new card, I'll see if I can install this on my brother's PC. So I'll see what happens.

    Thank you.  Nancy

    Hi, Nancy:

I prefer a router. I've owned nothing else than the Linksys routers and has never had a single problem with them.

It is possible the you got is defective if you know that you all set up correctly.

    Here's how I do...

You must have your cable/DSL modem connected to the router. If you run a network cable from the modem to the port designated by Internet on the router.

So if you want to connect devices wired to the router, connect to one 4 ports on the back of the router.

Then follow the rest of the steps in these sections to configure wireless devices.

It is important that if you are not very experienced in these things, to use your Linksys software CD comes with the router to configure automatically. I use the software myself many times.  This works.  Just make sure you follow the instuctions.

Linksys has a good online support then visit this site and read the user guide for your model of router.

It is also very important that you start your devices in a very specific order, or you may not able to connect.

Make sure that you have correctly wired to the top of your devices.

    1 stop.

    2. first start of your cable/DSL modem. Wait at least 2 minutes until you see that the lights were normalized.

    3. turn on the router and wait for it to start - 2 minutes.

    4. start the PC.

  • Option of assigning wireless via a wired connection?

I know that running Windows in VMware Fusion he sees any connection as a wired connection, network, even if my Macbook Pro is connected wireless. What I'm wondering is - it, if I have two assets of connections (wired and wireless), is there a way to assign the wireless to VMware and say do not to use the wired connection?

    Thank you

Since bridges merge default to the main network adapter of the host and by default if the Ethernet and airport are active then Ethernet is the primary but you have a few options if you want to adjust which Fusion adapter is connected to.  Earlier current Fusion also does not provide a GUI in a GA release to change this, however you can manually edit the file "/ Library/Application Support/VMware Fusion/boot.sh" or VM@Work Tokamak allows you to automate the process or change the order of Service to the airport primary Ethernet vs.

If you want to manually edit and then take a look on: or manually force Fusion to use specific or connections network interfaces

If you want to use a script take a look to: Advanced Networking Configuration - Tokamak Networking Scripts for VMware Fusion

Note: There is also a beta version, you can try for the feature added by DaveP post Re: Scripts to manage the merger of network settings.

If you do not want to change the boot.sh or use the Tokamak you can make your airport the main...

Click the Apple (menu) > System Preferences > then under Internet & wireless network

On the network map click the gear below icon adapters listed and choose set Service order...

Click and drag the airport is above Ethernet in the list then click OK and then click on apply.

This will then put airport over Ethernet on the list when they are active.

  • Lag synchronization replicates during startup

    Hello

We use the BDB 4.7.25 and a configuration of Master/Slave replication with 1 Master (priority 100 replication) and 2 slaves (priority 0 replication).

During my test if for some reason the slave has declined and there were a lot of changes happened on the master (such as 1000 or more rows updated) then when I start the slave, it is not sync all changes at startup, it remains in this state until there are a few changes to the great master. We use this fine slave of recovery after a disaster and can not afford to lag a lot then the master. Is there a way to force synchronization to start, infact DR Slave shouldn't even allow opening a DB connection until it is synchronized with the master.

On the subsequent investigations proved that I see the messages below in the newspaper
    the master
MASTER: blocking the thread of msg, waiting for the queue space
    MASTER: wait for drain
    MASTER: drain returned 0 (0.10)
    MASTER: limit exceeded queue
    MASTER: rep_send_function returned:-30888

    The client displays these messages
CLIENT: Delay memp_sync START_SYNC because of missing documents.
    CLIENT: Return NOTPERM [1] [125152], cmp = 1

I tried to call Environment.syncReplication () to start the customer but without help, apparently it only works when you start delayed synchro mode.
Any help is appreciated. If the master is running and then populated and only the slave is started this problem still occurs.

    Hi Kalpesh,

Here's how to observe the startup-done event (or any other event)
    Java:

    1. create a class that implements the interface EventHandler.
EventHandlerAdapter extension is an easy way to do
    so.

    2. create an object of this class and pass a reference to this object
    method setEventHandler (EventHandler) of EnvironmentConfig.

(All these are in the com.sleepycat.db package.)

An example of using this technique is included in the
RepQuoteExample.java program included in the Berkeley DB distribution
(although the example does not take account of start-fact and instead only concerns
subject and type event rep-master rep-customer).

    Hi Slavedriver,

Thanks for your reply. The reason why I asked on Nvidia cards, what I read a few posts on other discussion groups on the subject. If you are using the latest drivers, Nvidia has a parameter that should be enabled or disabled to work properly with the Aero theme. Maybe it's the time of pilots. The transparency feature may be consuming a lot of resources. Unless someone has a better answer, I'd say that your best bet is supported from Nvidia. Maybe they have a newer driver or can offer help in the settings of the cards. Sorry, I couldn't be more help. Let us know of all the new developments.

  • WRT160N: Wireless works great, Wired is slow

I replaced my old router from Linksys 8 port with a WRT160N wireless so that my iPhone would have Wi - Fi in the House.  (AT & T network is not great where I live.)

My iPhone yells now, great connectivity.  But my two desktop computers that are connected directly to the router are creepy.  Pages take forever to load, and often don't load graphics.

Any suggestions on what I can change to get the router speeds up the performance of the computer cable?
