Wiring for GLC-SX-MMD in Cisco2960X

Hello

I have Cisco 2960 X configured with 2 modules of transceiver GLC-SX-MMD.

It has main switch at the other end (not sure model. No.), configured with 2 modules of transceiver GLC-SX-MMD.

I'm trying to find the Cisco cable that can connect to these transceiver modules with each other.

Access switch - to-switch

Help, please.

Thank you

Sushant

Cisco is not in company fiber of wiring, so they do not have a part of you to sell that use cases. You can use a fiber and/or jumper cable from a renowned manufacturer. GLC-SX-MMD transceivers require a type LC on fiber multimode connector. They work best with the OM3 or better 50 micron fiber specification basis although they are compatible with the older style of base 62.5 microns (grade FDDI or OM1) fiber

  • GLC-FE-100FX = / / GLC-SX-MMD

    Hello world!

I need some advice. I intend to connect the following switches by fiber optical multimode: IE-3010-16 s - 8PC (with GLC-FE-100FX = in the 16-port 100 Mbps x SFP) and WS-C2960CX-8PC-L (GLC-SX-MMD in rising 1 Gbps connections). The port speed is inconsistent in both switches. So I was wondering if the 1 Gbps uplink port could negotiate speed and finally to establish the connection.

    Kind regards

    Miguel

No - Sorry that won't work.

Gigabit SFP you have in the 2960 only use for one set at 1 Gbps speed. There is no possibility of negotiation of speed in the optical transceivers as the optics runs at a fixed speed.

You can replace the gigabit SFP GLC-SX-MMD in 2960 switches with 100 MB/s, one and that would work fine. Need part number would be:

    GLC-GE-100FX

100BASE-FX SFP to SFP Gigabit Ethernet Ports

  • Cannot be added to a configuration of GLC-SX-MMD part number.

    Hello

Mi question, is that I can't add this part FPS number to a configuration in CCW:

    GLC-SX-MMD

I already searched the EOS paper and the part number is OK. Here is the link

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/prod/collateral/modules/ps5455/eol_c51-698060.html

Does anyone else have this problem?, maybe there is a different part number.

    Thank you.

    Hi Juan,

Thank you for bringing This concern to us.

We inform you that the MMD and SBD transceiver SKU is currently not available in the CCW. It is a global issue, BU (Business Unit) and ORC (Cisco connection online) people work on this subject. No ETA.

    We apologize for the inconvenience.

  • How to set up LAN wireless and wired for simultaneous operation

I use a Lenovo thinkpad running windows XP. I want to set up an independent network so that I can connect my hardware for debugging. At the same time, I want to be able to access the corporate network using the wireless interface.  My autonomous network consists of a Belkin router that is to act as a DHCP server, my laptop connected to a port on the router and my test material connected to a different port on the router. My wireless interface is configured to connect to the corporate network. With wireless interface and the ethernet interface (wired) enabled, when I am doing a config ip, I see that the devices get valid IP address, corresponding to subnets, they connect to IE the ethernet port gets IP address 192.168.x.x 172.x.x.x IP poster wireless interface while. But I am not able to ping or access sites on the internet, I am able to ping the router Belkin on the independent network.

However, if I go under network connections and disable the ethernet connection to the local network can access the internet and my business network. Similarly, if I disable the wireless connection and that you enable the ethernet connection, so I am able to ping the router only and not my test equipment connected on the same subnet.

If I configure the (wired) ethernet network interface to use a static IP address in the pool of IP from the router Belkiin (who is also a DHCP server) and set the IP Address of the Belkin router as gateway, I can access all the other devices on this local subnet if and only if the wireless interface is disabled.

The search for networks order is defined as the wireless and Ethernet.

In my case, I need two interfaces to be active at the same time, as explained at the beginning. Appreciate any suggestions.

    Thank you.

  • Windows 7 64 bit laptop on wireless network can not find .inf wired for Canon Pixma iP4000 printer driver for windows 7 32 bit PC

First of all, I read the thread on the laptop win 7 and win XP PC with attached IP4000.  I have just isn't helping me with that.  I am computer literate network, but I have to be dumbing down, so be specific in a response, you can give it.  Please, do not assume I know something just because it can be public knowledge.  Thank you for understanding my situation!

New Win 7 64 bit laptop connected wireless to a network home through a Netgear WNDR3700 router.  Wired to the router, it is a PC with a USB attached printer Canon IP4000.  This printer has worked without problem with this PC for years.  Add the laptop.  Try to access the printer on the network (it is set to be shared on the PC) translates into an inability to find the driver for the printer.  On the Canon download site, I downloaded and installed on both machines the driver add-on 'aomwin110ea23us.exe '.  This does nothing to solve the problem.  Then, follow the suggestions in the thread referenced above, I downloaded installed 7 - zip and unzipped the file add-on from Canon.  Guess what? -There is no, zero, nada, stupid ".inf" file in there!  I understand that I need share on the PC to both x 32 and x 64, but without a valid .inf file to point to, I'm sunk.  And the same is true when you try to add the printer to the laptop - not to point to .inf file.  Is the only thing that I have not tried to install the printer directly to the laptop via the USB port, and it's because this is not a configuration that is usable for me.  The printer must be attached to the PC.  Is there anyone out there who can help me solve this dilemma?  Please do not give me an answer telling me to download the driver - usually you tell me precisely what driver and then guide me through the process.  Rest assured that I appreciate sincerely any help you can give me.  Thanks in advance!

Most likely the name of the driver you are using on XP to share the printer a is not not the name of the 64-bit driver.  The pilots names must match in order to add the printer as a connection to the 64-bit computer using the normal RPC protocol.  You can configure the printer on 64-bit Windows 7 as a local printer that will basically copy the data from the printer to the format to share on the XP machine using SMB protocols.

This is a Ko for incompatible drivers when connecting XP to NT4.  Replace your server / client configuration, but it's the same process.  Make sure that you are connected to the internet and select the Canon 64 bit driver available on Windows Update (use the Windows Update button in add printer) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/282842

    Thank you very much

    Hello

It is a good way to connect the two piles that you can configure the link as an aggregate of 4 X 10 giga links. You should use LACP rather than static, so that any broken link is quickly identified and thus will be abandoned in the aggregate.

It is the same with any property that was added before you create an instance of the target as in the CreateTargetRequest. I want to access the properties of the target must be passed to my data_collector.pl script.

  • Transport CANADA needs to be unplugged/replugged all morning for TM can find the backup on TC drive?

Every morning my 3 Macs can't find the backup on my Time Capsule drive. (All devices with the latest updates.) So I have to do the following:

    (1) unplug the TC. Wait a minute, then plug it back.

    (2) open TM preferences all 3 computers, select disk, enter the password, then TM detects the drive and backups run all day.

    (3) in the morning, I wake up and the computers can't find the backup disk?

  • Connecting to a Mac TC cable ethernet for external storage only

I scoured these forums looking for a solution to my problem, but nothing I've met has worked so far.

I have a TC of 2 TB.  I'm sure, it is considered as 2nd generation to 99%.  My Mac is a 21.5 mid-2011 "El Capitan running.

What I'm trying to do is (should be) pretty simple, but I just cannot get this to work.  I live in the glue, so internet high speed cable is not available and I'm stuck with Verizon DSL via the telephone line.  Go ahead... Take minute for model / to feel sorry for me... I'll wait.  OK, so I have this DSL modem/router from Verizon Wireless and my TC does not seem to play well with it, when I joined the network.  Internet continues in and out and wireless file transfer is so slow.  So I would just remove my TC of the network, disable the wifi signal that he died, and connect to my Mac via the ethernet cable and use it strictly as an external hard drive for my media files.  Any help on how to do this would be appreciated.

Go ahead... Take minute for model / to feel sorry for me

I live in important suburb of Melbourne in Australia and count myself "LUCKY" to get DSL to about 6 Mbps, then you are the global average, I guess for internet.

(Of course we have a Conservative Government... think Republican or Tory... whose the idea of fast internet is something from the years 1990) A conservative, he also seems = backward.

I have a TC of 2 TB.  I'm 99% sure, it is considered as 2nd generation

It's really unlikely... they sold a handful.

Look on the bottom... paper A1409 label is gen4, molded into the first line of rubber... Gen3 is A1355... A1302 is Gen2 and extremely likely.

So I would just remove my TC of the network, disable the wifi signal that he died, and connect to my Mac via the ethernet cable and use it strictly as an external hard drive for my media files.

You can do this... * If you? *

    The method is here.

Time Capsule using wired for Mac for backup only.

It is a bit tricky because of the gateway and DNS issues.

If you need more details give me a screenshot of your network on the Mac wireless connection.

    * If you *.

A self powered 2 TB 2.5 "disk connected to the back of your Mac. will be invisible... it will be faster and much more reliable than the old TC.

It will allow your local files not network... and therefore the time Machine will work... Time Machine backup impossible of network drives. It can use as the target source ever.

  • Use the TC for backups only, while the computer is connected to a different network

    Time Capsule version 7.7.3

I want to be able to make backups without having to connect to its network via wi - fi, because I'm connected to a different wireless network to access the internet.

I thought that I need to connect the TC to my computer with an Ethernet cable.

    But how to set it?

    Like this.

  • Where can I find instructions for alternative configurations for my time capsule?

I am resident in a House with a router not apple using Uverse.  I just bought a Time Capsule, hoping to use it as a storage drive to backup my imac and mac air.  For the MacAir, I would be like it is able with time Capsule wireless backup, and depending on how I can configure the system, connect the imac directly to the TimeCapsule or wireless connection.

What I can't do connect the Capsule of time with an ethernet cable to the router not apple, that is in a different room than my desktop.  I have permission to use the internet service provided by the non-apple router - so right now, I don't have time Capsule to provide internet access in itself - as long as it can enable to backup wireless option at least for my mac air.

    Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, you're stuck in the middle of a router that is not apple and an Apple router without ethernet... and therefore no way to connect.

What you need is a wireless bridge (wireless to ethernet bridge if you want that it is more accurate).

Wireless bridges are pretty cheap... Look at TP-Link, because a lot of their wireless access points will make wireless bridge...

Or you can purchase an airport express... It's the only apple router which allows the wireless bridge. However, it is more than twice the price of an equivalent of non-apple.

With the bridge... you plug in ethernet on the TC and run the TC in bridge (it is the router bridge)... your clients can then connect to the TC directly and the two backup and get internet at the same time... otherwise you can do it in the order...

That is, you can plug the TC to the iMac by ethernet. It's a bit complicated, but I've given instructions here. Then you have wireless internet and backup on ethernet... It is indeed the best configuration for the imac.

Time Capsule using wired for Mac for backup only.

What you can't do, is use wireless for internet and backup at the same time... you will need to do one and then sometimes switch for the wireless of TC to run a backup... not a great idea.

  • UMI-7774 required for readers of nor?

I'm a movement control system design using 3 stepper motors (or Nema 23) and therefore 3 or P70360 readers. Is a umi-7774 required to connect to the controller 4 card pci motion-axis?  (I'm confused as its description on the site nor said that it is necessary for the 3rd party readers BUT in discussions I've read a lot of people have used umi 7774 or readers)

    Hello aks.

Yes, you will need to purchase and use our 7774 universal movement (UMI) Interface to connect the three engines of readers / motion controller card.

He could have confused because it does not explicitly say that it is necessary for the 3rd party readers, but not necessarily required for our readers. That said, the vast majority of customers use the UMI Board, because it eliminates the need for custom cables and makes it much easier to connect to several axes.

Here are some links that can provide more details and could be useful.
