  The only way that you can embed the image directly in the content stream is to use an "online" image and reference PDF/ISO 32000-1, it is quite clear that these images are limited to no more than 4 K bytes (ISO 32000-1, 8.9.7).   As such, it would be pretty useless for most.  Also, inline images cannot use compression technologies modern to minimize the size of the data files, making it less than practice/useful.

  So not - everyone puts them as resources where they belong!

  We have a lot of "tutorials" we want to convert on Captivate, who has previously written in a proprietary tool, company built. I would like to know if there is any way we could generate XML data that can be ingested by Captivate generates elements on the screen (text and graphics) which will then support developers to add interactivity actions. Import PowerPoint does not for us because we do not want to merge the graphics and text into a single image that is imported.

  Furthermore, if there is a way to develop plugins for Captivate tools and an API to work with, kind of like VBA for Office, which would also work.

  Sorry, but this is not possible.

  There is an option to import XML in Adobe Captivate, but it is only used for importing into an XML document that has first been exported. Mostly this is used to locate the purpose (translation).

  The only other similar feature is the possibility to import files from DON to create Question slides.

  I do not understand how to integrate charges to my current SQL code that would consist of food and then the elements of the car for each person. Once I understood this concept I want to apply to my real data base (Oracle) where I count medication and problems for each patient.

  I am VERY new to Captivate and most Adobe products and am not a web developer or programmer.  I learned how to use 9 CAptivate and understand you can do advanced animations (and more with the function of calendar in the working area).  However, I recently took a course (a pretty good on the site Adobe know-how) on sensitive site, building 8, Captivate and the instructor used edge animate to do something similar.  I do not understand that Edge animate has other uses and has more features that advanced in Captivate 9 animations, but if I want to only produce a little advanced animations and simple movements, I use Edge animate to do this?  I guess what I'm trying to understand where are the limits to capabilites animation Captivate 9 against Edge animate?

  Animate edge can create animations and "was" considered to be the alternative for Flash animations at the start of the hype of HTML5. However, Edge animate is more will continue during development, the month next Flash Pro will be renamed CC animate and will be able to post files OAM, as Edge host used to do. Captivate has the ability to embed animations such as you can embed animated GIF (old but still functional to both output SWF and HTML5) as well. However, it must be aware of the fact that there is no communication between these animations and Captivate, unless you know JavaScript. Such communication is possible using widgets.

  Since you are new, I often have problems with the terminology. You want simple movements in Captivate 9? Use the effects of movement, much easier to create and manage than to try to do it with another application. The effects are possible in Captivate, no need for another application at all. What do you mean by "advanced animations? If explain you it, maybe I can also offer you an alternative to animate dashboard? I used it with Captivate 8, but right now, I'm perfectly happy with what's available in Captivate. Edge Animate has (d) the possibility of incorporating some code snippets (JS) or write your own code. Captivate has advanced actions, shared stocks and you can also launch the JavaScript code. I don't think Edge animate has 'more' feature if you want to create Captivate e-Learning courses! Or do you have another goal?

When I looked at the 'how' guide to find out how to set the parameters, he never mentioned WHERE is the 'TOOLS' button, then arrive at the privacy settings and to change setting by default I want to.   I am trying to locate my application in another language, my application uses an internal Sqlite database among others to read the contents of a table of category to display avaiable categoriesvia a listview.  What I want to know is if something is similar to QsTr("") where I could tell the application easier to retrieve content for categories another field in the same table based on the language used... This way I could have a field of CategoryNameEng, a CategoryNameFr on the ground etc...

• Cannot change content CS5.5

  I use DW CS5.5. The site that I'm working has a home page of two columns. When I try to change the content, I can't. By clicking on the area with the content to edit only selects the whole of the region, it does not actually change. In order to change, I have to go in mode code to be changed. It's fine for me, but I'm not the only one that works on this site and other people who work on this too don't know code at all it is not an option for them. Double click on the region allows it to be modified, but it puts the two columns into one which is not correct. I see there is overflow: hidden, which on other forums seems to be the culprit, but I don't know how to go around that or change it. I only found temporary workaround for this problem, not a real solution. Help!

  The #1 option: In Design view, click inside the column. Right click > View element > full.

  The #2 option: Disable CSS.  Go to View > Style made > uncheck display Styles.

  On certain provisions, it is easier to work with content without style.

  Does not Live View or preview in browsers.

  I use web fonts custom model Edge animate successfully, but when I publish the dashboard content animate, referenced (in the .css file) fonts do not appear in the published folders.

  I could see the number of folder 'fonts' not getting copied for publish destination. It looks like a bug.

• Including a picture of the Page content in an ePub - using InDesign CC

  Previously, when I used InDesign CS6, including a table of contents (TOC) in an ePub page was very easy. Unfortunately, the process no longer works with InDesign CC.

  An error message appears when I exit the ePub. It says: "Please update TOC with option is anchored text in paragraph source activated.» I made this change to my documents and it still did not fix the ePub resulting.

  If anyone can offer a suggestion on how to resolve this error, I would really appreciate it.

  This seems to be yet another new "downgrade" subsequently CC . It amazes me how there are different problems with the various applications of CC . I'm getting closer to my decision to cancel my subscription to CC and return to CS6 products much more reliable (and stable) in my Adobe Master Collection.

  Yes, it's a frustrating problem. Since you have rebuilt your table of contents, then the other possible explanation is that you have to be built over a history of OCD that you forgot to update and she was part of the export, or you have copied the contents of the history of OCD and stuck in a TOC non-story that belongs to the export.

  What happens behind the scenes is - this - before CC when InDesign generated the table of contents it was to simply attach a hyperlink to the page number in the table of contents - which was sufficient for PDF Hyperlinks work. Specifically, there is no backlink to the SOURCE of the entry of table of contents, just a reference to the page on which it is.

  In the CC update (I forget which now), we've added more information during the generation of the table of contents entry - in addition to the link to the page that was there before, we add also some special information that allows to recover the source paragraph. It is the lack of information on an older table of contents page number that triggers the error string.

  You are to ignore it, with the result that you will find a page number entry that is not issued as a hyperlink. Unfortunately there is no easy way to try to find this stray entry otherwise than to try to keep trim your export shown down until you isoliez story/content is guilty.

  Now, the idea that the CC updates regarding the EPUB represent a downgrade is ridiculous! Clearly, you have no idea of the two years of work that went from EPUB in CS6, but why should you? Certainly make us easy to find.

  You gave me a good excuse, I thank you, for reminding people about 3 papers that I wrote describing all changes made to each update since the CS6 which should put the rest no idea that CS6 is a safe port, regarding the EPUB working at least.

• Table of contents using a style/section of the master page

  I'm at the top of my head I think... and probably incorrectly to the top of my document.  I hope I can quickly explain where I am:

  Question 1

  I'd like a Table of contents to use 10 section headers that appear throughout my document.  Here's how I set up:

  • In the master page, a place for the header of section and it gives a paragraph style.
  • Then, throughout the document, I used the "numbering and section options" start each new section and give this article is the unique name.

  When I went to generate the Table of contents, I've specified using this particular paragraph style that I used for the section headers, but nothing appears (except for the title, I asked for the General table of contents).  It's as if this isn't to find the sections - or this style (which applies only to the master page).

  Where am I wrong?

  I wish that my Table of contents, not numbered.  How do I do that?

  I don't know that you understood my post. I was able to do exactly what you did - create a master page with a frame and the section marker character (indicating "section" on the master page) and then add the actual text of the marker in the numbering and section options. The text appears on the page of live document.

  When I tried to do a table of contents, text was not resumed UNTIL I selected and carried this master frame on the page of the document (Ctrl + Shift + click on Windows or Cmd + Shift + click on Mac on the image that you want to replace). After substitution, the text appeared as scheduled in the table of contents.

  You're right about the number of page for this page. You can use another master without a page number, or you can cancel and delete the master page number frame. I assume that you will need to use a different master for the first page and pages in any section to avoid having the marker appear on all pages, or you can replace only the first page so that you don't repeat entries in the table of contents for each page of each section.  If you use the marker as a running header Section, you can learn more about Variables header running in the help files in place. In many ways, the use of a variable can be simpler and more direct.

• Appearance of the content in the browser vs. see Design

  Q: Please see picture attached. What is the appearance of the content seen in fashion for the Dreamweaver Design insofar as the added content is viewed in a browser?

  Well, it's certainly a beginner question, but unfortunately no one who seems to have been addressed in my tutorial book. Please note the image as an attachment. I have a div inside a container in which I wish to add some text content etc. In order to get the content to appear correctly where I want when displayed in a browser, I actually less frequently share mode creation of Dreamweaver. When I do, the lower limit of the Div (as seen in Design view... in yellow), seems to extend beyond the determine the dimensions of the div itself. However, as seen in the image on the right, that is exactly where it should be in the browser.

• the smart playlist content

  I have a smart playlist that indicates that it contains 850 songs.  The content is another reading list that indicates that it contains songs of 2200.  Why are they not the same?  I designated the content as the other playlist and requested do not repeat that whatever it is played during the last 21 days.

  If the second selection rules, something like "Playlist" "is" "Playlist 1" and "Last played" "is not in the last" "21" "days", while the second should be shorter. "

  That explain it?  If this isn't the case, please post the rules you use.
