With regard to the Epson V300 scanner. I installed the current version software driver successfully. It works fine until I turned off the computer. After the reboot, the scanner is not recognized and driver not found.

On the page of 'Uninstall and change of program' of the computer, the Epson Scan icon with a red arrow on it.   In addition, elevated Epson Support found no problem. Indicated that the problem was with the computer or windows.      I installed on another computer and worked properly.    If there is a conflict with another device, I can't find it.

Hello

·         You did changes to the computer before the show?

Step 1: I would say you put the computer to boot and check that the software or conflicting drivers:

Note: Place the computer to normal startup by following step 7 from the link above.

Step 2: Download and install the software driver in a clean boot state, and check to see if it helps:

  • I get the message that running ' Ckdsk/f' the file is not found. I can't defragment drive c.

I can't dfragment c drive. I get the message run Ckdsk/f. The file is not found.

    the command is CHKDSK /F.

However, it is best to run this instead: CHKDSK /R

It is unclear if you do not run the check disk drive correctly or if the check disk command / file is affected by the volatile file system.

my suggestion is to acquire a xp boot cd and boot the recovery console.

then when you get to the disk prompt run the command >: CHKDSK /R

then type exit, remove the cd and boot into windows.

    Hi Neil,

Method 1: Please try last known good configuration boot

    (a) restart the computer.

    (b) press and hold F8 while the computer starts up, which helps you to go to the Advanced Boot Options screen.

    (c) use the arrow keys to highlight and select the last well known configurations and press ENTER.

This mode will take the last point restart managed computer that helps your computer to boot to the desktop.

I'm trying to scan a doc and the message is 'not found computer. Ensure that the HPsoftware has been installed on the computer. My computer print very well so I do not know why it does not scan.

    Hello

Thanks for the information. Two things to try. First of all, try to align your print cartridges using the controls on the printer display panel. As part of this process, the printer will print on a sheet of alignment that you place on the printer and scan in the printer. See if it works successfully. If not, see the following page: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02451000&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0011 .

The second thing to try is the print and Scan Doctor Utility, download here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-114642-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=4063&product=5061082&sw_lang=. Its a standalone process and requires no explanation.

Let me know if one of them fixes the problem.

    Kind regards

Probably not "such what."  Next time you launch the application, make sure that the menu bar to it and see if there is a feedback icon.  You may be able to comment on what features you want and they can do just that.

With regard to the post Re: recent files page , when I went back to answer, there is no way to reply to the post.  After trying the settings using the provided screenshots, page of recent files always came every time.  So the answers you have provided are not correct for my particular case.  Finally, I tried without any control in the preferences and that my custom workspace save as I wanted.  Here is how I had to define it.

    Thank you.

It is doubly strange.  I just check and that the other thread is not locked and can be answered.  Someone else has a problem, you reply to this thread.

Secondly, I turn off the settings described works for me and Photoshop opens without MRU and start work space.

You did _uncheck_ these settings?  I like the new workspaces, so mine are checked, but it clearly says _Show_ at the beginning of each line.
