With the help of HP recovery disks

I install a new hard drive in my computer HP 1734c because the original cannot. I made 2 discs in my program of recovery for Vista. I noticed that after I created records that the first disc has no information about it but the 2nd disc has about 2.6 GB of info. Since only, I can do these recovery disks once and when I try to install the Vista program on the new drive it will not install, probably because he has no information about it, what can I do in addition to buy a new copy of Windows?

  • With the help of product recovery CD when the hard drive replaced

    Hi all

It seems that my hard drive is defective, so I bought a replacement, installed in the laptop OK and tried to use the Toshiba product recovery disc. The laptop started with the disc OK and recovery of product starting screen appeared and I started the process. The process starts, but then crashes and no matter how much time wait nothing further happens.

I put the defective hard drive, back to and started on the recovery disk and it started and the process started OK.

The recovery disc can not be used on a replacement hard drive? Surely, this is possible, as hard drives do fail and must be replaced.

Can someone tell me how to fix it please?

    Thanks in advance!

In General, you can use recovery image after replacing HARD drive. I did the same thing on my machine.
It was: is the new HARD drive recognized properly? After Exchange of HDD enter BIOS and check this.
Before you begin the recovery image installation if please try to set the BIOS to the default settings and try reinstalling the recovery image.

I also need to restore my P200 with the Toshiba CD. There is a note on the Pocket: insert the CD, power off, turn on with press F12, select the drive and follow the explanations. I wonder if it is possible to reformat just the 2nd disc.

I can confirm what sascha wrote. I have Satellite A300 with 2 hard drives and via recovery DVD you can simply install OS on the first HARD disk. The second HDD is not visible for a second and Toshiba software engineers have designed to work with the first HARD disk only.

    Hello
I am using the recovery DVD for my Satellite - 1 9, PSKDLE L850, to replace my HD in the State.

Even if the hidden partition was here, I always had errors, e.g. F3-F200-0002.
But it wasn't the only one.
Right now, I'm wiping the HD to give it the appearance of being a replacement HD, which lasts about 5 hours.

I am unable to identify any docs on how to properly use the DVD online.
Can someone give me a link that I seem to be using the wrong argument to search on my Android tablet.

  • With the help of laptop recovery

I have a Pavilion laptop G7. It came with a recovery on the hard drive partition as well as instructions on how to create a recovery media.

    Just two questions:

    (1) other that using different steps, is there a difference between the use of the partition of the drive against the media created in what is the final result?

    (2) only two methods recreate a new recovery hard disk partition or the process leaves the original intact?

    Hello

I know what you mean, however when you create a set of recovery media, a change is written on the hard disk recovery Partition which saves this has been done and will not allow another series to be created - this change is also registered in your recovery media, because it is created if use you this media to reinstall the OS and so recreate the hard disk recovery partition , he'll always know the media has been created and will not allow another series to do.

However, there is always the possibility of using an application third such an ImgBurn to create (and therefore be able to re - write) an Image of your media - guides that are here.

Perhaps the best option if you are using Windows 7 is to simply create a disk Image using the option described here.

Should what settings I give the vmkfstools to be able to use the disks in ESX 3.5?

In fact, it can.  However, you can do a "remote" converted to a physical machine.  You must install the converter on the machine that you want to convert and run it from there, select "local computer", then you're allowed ESX as destination.

System has been great from the GET go, there are more than 2 weeks. Never a failure to the no boot, no lock ups etc. Woke up in the middle of the night last week with cmptr attempt to restart. No new software or hardware installed had been. Nothing worked, quiet dampened.

From there on, I was not able to start Windows.

I entered the BIOS and tried to start a well known point... nothing. Always get blue screen. I have reset the CMOS on the mobo, removed the battery on the mobo and reinstalled. I unplugged the two hard drives power and SATA cables, bought a NEW (third) HD and installed, with only one new HD connected, with a full version of Windows Vista DVD in the CD/DVD drive, tried to boot Windows from scratch... still get the blue screen?

    Blue screen says:

I was able to run the memory test and it came back without errors. I was not able to get to "repair your computer", as the beginning is never far away. Once the bar then "fills" Blue Screen of Death!

  • new laptop does not start with the boot CD or DVD disk

HP Pavilion laptop computer g6 brand new windows 7 Home premium 64-bit.  Updates Windows, updating the Bios and Telus security installed, otherwise the system is factory.

I'd like to partition the hard drive partitions with Partition Wizard on a boot disk, maximum because I don't need a 650 GB partition to do the maintenance on more I like to keep my data and other separate files of my operating system.

The DVD drive is set to boot first.  The DVD player works (made recovery discs, checked the content on the CD, etc.).

What happens when I try to boot using the CD or DVD - the DVD drive sounds like it is being accessed, then stops and I get a blue screen. This happens as well with the diskette in the partition Wizard and recovery disks.  Whenever I start even if the bios is set to boot from the first DVD I press the esc key and reset the DVD to start everything first.

I checked the disk the wizard partition on a desktop PC and it works fine.  I updated the bios after checking on the internet, as was the fix for this issue.  It don't did not help me.

It took me a while, but I thought about it.  The laptop and DVD player with Windows 7 can't read a bootable disc, made by another computer.  It won't even read a USB stick formatted by another computer (Windows XP).

I have a problem when inserting a Memory Stick PRO Duo SanDisk (512 MB) card with the help of Memory Stick Duo adapter in the card of my Satellite A200 - 1 M 8 (PSAE6) on Windows Vista Edition Home Premium.
The device includes the insertion of the card (Windows notifies with the sound and the icon in the notification area).
But then the computer window starts flashing and I can't open the disk of the card. OS always says insert the card in the card slot opening.

I found the following statement in the manual of the laptop (Chapter 8 - optional devices):
Memory Stick Duo/PRO Duo and Memory Stick adapter are not compatible with the multiple digital media card slot. :(

But before that, I found this thread in the forum:

The guy said that he has been successful and his position has been marked as the answer!

Anyone know how to use MS PRO Duo in the locations of memory A-200?
    Thanks in advance.

    I put t believe that!
First the user manual it says:
-Memory Stick * PRO Duo *.
    -Memory Stick * Duo *.

cards or adapters are not compatible with the multiple digital media card slot.
In this case you cannot use the possibilities mentioned above!
See the list given by Juan28 in the other thread.

What you can do is to use the * Memory Stick * or * cards Memory Stick Pro *.
I don't know but maybe the cards Memory Stick or Memory Stick Pro m is available for the Memory Stick Duo or Memory Stick Duo PRO working but to be honest I don t think so.

  • Help? With the help of file system Ext3 on key USB on Linux RT target

We have been affected by problems with the SD cards and USB drives formatted in FAT32 on some devices, according to Linus RT of long-term monitoring (mainly the cRIO-9035). It seems that readers are vulnerable to fluctuations in current and unexpected reboots (which are inevitable on these sites). Write aborted operations make the damaged discs, thus sabotaging logging after reboot.

We have identified two solutions; implement both gives the best redundancy:

    (1) installation of UPS (uninterrupted power supply for emergency supplies/batteries) - done

    (2) using the file system apparently more robust 'ext3', which is available on the target RT Linux (FAT32, ext2 and ext3) - don't have not so far:

But they appear as 'read only' when it is inserted into the chassis of the RT. All attempts to access it, other than to observe the empty folder sdxx in ' / media "is returning errors.

Someone had a bit of luck with the help of ext3 disks formatted as data drives on the objectives of the RT Linux? It is worthwhile to solve my problems or should I use FAT32 and the observed risk?

I do not consider this but a temporary solution:

I ran into issues when you use MiniTools Partition Wizard to partition and format my thumb on Win10 records. An unidentified change makes the inaccessible disks and freeze the browsing of file on the PC when I try to delete the partition. It was quite annoying!

I decided to try another partition tool and went for the EaseUs Partition Master (free version for the moment). I formatted successfully one of the troublesome discs with it (to add some uncertainty to the solution, I used another brand sp * banking, new PC to do).
