with wacom tablet hand tool mystery

I'm having a problem with the tool at hand with my wacom tablet and have not been able to understand how to fix it.

The question:

When I'm in the develop module, if I press the space key to call the hand tool and try to move the image using my wacom pen, I can't. When I use the stylus to drag the cursor, screen image will basically freeze (do nothing). If I wait, the picture will move eventually. but I can not move fluidly around the image with the hand tool by using the pen. the same function by using my mouse works fine. so, does not seem to be a problem with the LR. and also, interestingly, if I go in the Navigator Panel, I can drag around the image perfectly using the pen.

I dug around forums here trying to figure out what wacom or pen windows setting (7) could be the cause, but came to nothing.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, found a solution! Just disable the GPU acceleration and it works again.

The GPU acceleration has been a real pain for me together. Everything was slow, unstable and delay. As soon as I realized to activate it things go back almost to gear LR 3.6 and the software is still usable. Aye!

  • Move what tool does not layer move when you drag with Wacom Tablet

I use the trial version of CS5 (will probably be updated at the end of the trial), and I found only one thing about it that I like more than CS3. It is VERY VERY annoying, and I don't know if it's a bug, or just a preference that must be reset:

When you use the move tool, I will suggest something and it will break just back to where it was originally. When it snaps again, it could move in the sense that I drag a few pixels, but it is certainly not moving where I want to go. The only way to make things go as I want to is to transform freely... but it is annoying, when you try to create a presentation, to have free transform each item that you want to move first.

I'm guessing that this is a problem because sometimes, and sometimes it isn't... it's pretty random. I tried to turn snap on/off, and nothing changes. No idea how fix/change it?

    Hello

I think I may have found the culprit. I started using Adobe PS CS 5 Extended the same day I got the Wacom Intuso 4 (about a year ago) and NEVER had a problem until last month when I added Adobe PS CS5 in the application section, see below.

That's the ONLY change I made to my settings from wacom alongside the typical button layout.

I just tested this point. I removed the Adobe Photoshop CS5 from the field of Application of field and restarted Photoshop WITH the Tablet is plugged. Now, I can use the touchpad and tablet. See below:

Just to test my conclusion, I have readded the application to the field of application (Photoshop was closed; three feet away from the mouse and pen) and changed my settings as I wanted, so I started to Photoshop.

At first, I was able to use the track, but as soon as I used the pen, the touchpad stops working correctly and the problem of 'go back' started.

I don't have Flash Player and Wacom in the other field on System Preferences, see below.

In this case it does not matter weather that the pen is sitting on the shelf or not. Once Photoshop is removed from the scope of the parameters of Wacom, the touchpad and tablet work in harmony.

I hope it works for you and Adobe/Wacom allows a solution/solution of the problem.

    Kind regards

    Brandon

  • Problems of latitude 10 with Wacom tablet PC drivers

I am the owner of a Dell Latitude 10 and last Friday, by mistake, instead of installing the driver with v720-10 recently published by Wacom, I installed the Asus with v720-9. As a result, the active pen no longer works correctly: when moving from the tip of the stylus on the screen, the cursor appears and disappears at random and never close to the tip. The stylus is now absolutely unnecessary and, because of his erratic behavior, it is completely impossible to calibrate it.

To remedy, I restored it first my tablet to an earlier point in time and it does not solve the problem. Then I am in contact with the Dell Customer Service Spanish and they first had me install the latest versions of the pen drivers and, seeing that it does not solve the problem, they end by sent me a new digitizer in case it was a hardware problem, but this does not solve the problem.

Then I refreshed the system without affecting my files, and because the problem persisted, I finally removed everything and reinstalled Windows 8 completely erase the data, but the pen still does not work. The rest of the Tablet is OK, even the touchscreen works well.

Now, I do not know what more I can do in order to get the digitizer repaired. In another forum, I have been informed that the version of Wacom Tablet PC with v720-9 ruins of the pen on the Tablet sensor (Latitude 10 is one of those who may be affected) and that the only solution would be an update of the firmware from Dell. Can anyone confirm that this is right? Is it possible to fix it?

    Hi @HBEN,

The update of the firmware is available for you at the following address:

    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/4818467/Wacom%20Soluci%C3%B3%20-%20WTW%20FW%20update%20FW0233.exe

    Here are the installation steps:

    -Uninstall any driver from Wacom
    -Run the update tool
-If the update tool indicates 'No response' then update, do not close the tool, it works in the background.

I was told it would auto close when it's over. In my case, it appeared an error message. I waited for two or three minutes, and after restarting the tablet pen came miraculously alive again.

    Good luck

  • Satellite A50 - conflict with Wacom Tablet

    Hello

I bought the Satellite A500, Wacom DTI 520UB, specifically to be used with the Wilcom embroidery software.

I installed the software and it works fine on the laptop only. But as soon as I slide transversely to the Tablet and try and do something there - it seems uncalibrate himself. I have to turn the tablet on and outside so he could re - calibrate. This is ridiculous. All I can think that there is some collide with something on the laptop that interferes with the tablet. The Tablet seems to work well on and more model toshiba with XP on it...

Anyone with any help it would be greatly appreciated that Wilcom and Wacom seem to have given up. Thank you

    Hello

    > The Tablet seems to work well on and more model toshiba with XP on it...
Maybe the tablets and/or software isn't compatible with your new laptop that you use with Vista or Windows 7, I guess.

In your case I would contact the manufacture of the tablet. Maybe they can send you an update to the software or more. Just talk a bit with the guy.

Also, make sure that you use the factory settings and you have installed the latest version of the BIOS.

  • RC2 won't work either with Wacom Tablet

When I installed the RC of LR4.1, my Wacom tablet stopped working with LR.  I have the same problem with RC2.  In Wacom preferences, I uninstalled LR and re-installed.  Nothing works.  Part of the problem, in my view, is that in my Applications folder, LR is listed as simply LR4.  If Adobe would create a completely separate with appropriate naming application, my hunch is that the problem could be clarified.  I know that tons of people who use Macs had this problem with LR4.1 RC.  Adobe needs to work with Wacom in fixing this mess.  I talked to Wacom and they say that the problem is with Adobe.  (I'm on Mac 10.6.8.)

I just checked the Wacom site.  There is a new driver, 6.3.1-w2.  And wow, it works with RC2!

  • Drawing with Wacom tablet...

Where is the "pressure modifier" option in Flash when you draw with a Wacom Tablet? Or you can vary only line weight pressing down hard with a pen, but not to set the sensitivity? Thank you!

Never mind... I do not installed the drivers to the Wacom, that's why the options were not included.

  • The BRUSH TOOL is off-center and screwed up with wacom tablet on my update of Flash 2014

Hello I updtaed cc Flash today, and I have the same problem. It's like the Brush tool is not calibrate, the line is off of the tip of the pen, about 5 mm beyond the point where I put the pen tip and the beginning of the line is always made a strange figure as figure shows (such as tip number one). It is not my tablet because with the cc Flash (2013), it is OK and is ok too with other software.

My tablet is calibrated correctly and works fine with photoshop, it's with the brush in Flash tools who is screwing on.  To try to solve the problem, I've updated by driver of the Tablet, but it does not solve the problem.  Remember, it worked perfectly fine with the previous version of Flash, the problem happened as soon as I have upgraded to the new version.

  • Drawing with Wacom tablet and transfer has stopped working

I draw using Photoshop, and I use the transfer function. But for some reason, the feature no longer works. I don't know why it stopped, and I don't know how to run again. If someone could help me I would appreciate it.

Sometimes things go kablooey and need a coup in the ass from time to time.

It's a bit like how my DAW software's coo - coo for Cocoa Puffs every time than in quite awhile. Without rhyme or reason other than the code is as imperfect as the people who wrote it. I can live with, "sometimes."

  • Flash Pro & Wacom tablet questions

After you have installed the latest update of Flash Professional, I meet with my Tablet Wacom in Flash, essentially the Brush tool is buggy. I was able to use with my Tablet Brush tool in Adobe Photoshop CC without any problem. I added a screenshot of the problem:

Although most of the new facility can be updated, this is the part of the scale that is my money on. It's somewhere in the Control Panel, display, settings ppp. Several people have solved this problem by defining that 100%.

  • How to solve the problem with the wacom tablet and the polygonal lasso tool. It does not work with a pen.

How to solve the problem with the wacom tablet and the polygonal lasso tool. It does not work with a pen. I have install windows 10 and fresh, new drivers for wacom bamboo, could he makes problems or there is a problem of photoshop?

It should do.  You use one of the buttons of pen maybe?  Just touching wheels with the pen with no buttons or modifier keys.  Press ENTER to close the selection.

Personally I never use the lasso, Polygonal, but rather just the Lasso tool by using the ALT (Opt) to operate the Polygonal tool.  I also use the mouse instead of the Tablet for the selection of cutting edge.  It is a little too uncertain where the point will go when hovering the stylus above the image.

  • Menus, shortcuts, Lasso tool or Photoshop constantly run when using a Wacom tablet. Mac OS

I use OS X El Capitan 10.11.1 and running in what looks like a common problem with my m enus, shortcuts, Lasso or Photoshop tool all together stop/lose functionality when you use a Wacom tablet. I saw cela the link below and I wonder if it is safe to install because I didn't know any rep Adobe share it (unattached individuals).

This plug-in is the only option? My mac is to date.

Tthat is a help page for Adobe, so it should certainly not be safe to use.  I also never heard of anyone having a problem with it.

  • When I try to pan and scroll in Photoshop by using pan/scroll my Wacom Intuos it lag/saccade, but when I manually click on the hand tool in Photoshop and use it, it does not lag. The difference is not dramatic, but it is quite remarkable. Someone at - it

I just bought a new Intuos Wacom Pro 5 and I am trying to configure shortcuts so that my workflow will be more effective, but when I put my stylus to pan/scroll and use it in Photoshop CC 2015, it lag/stutters a little. When I manually select the hand tool (which is supposed to do the exact same thing as the command on my pen) and use in Photoshop it does lag at all. Everyone knows about this problem?

[Left the forum Cloud/Installer generic for program specific forum... MOD]

I don't use CC 2015 there too many questions. However, I just test cc 2015 with my Wacom Intuos Pro and don't have your problem. I have my Pen down toggle switch together space to switch to the hand tool. When I press it I can pan the image smoothly and without any lag. With CC 2015 if I quick pan out from the coast to a stop well. My workstation is running Windows 10.

  • With the help of MS Surface like a Wacom Tablet?

I use LR 6 on a PC.  I'm also a Microsoft Surface 3.  Is it possible to work in Lightroom on my PC and use the Surface as a "tablet" that I can use to draw on--using a Wacom Tablet?  (I've never used a Wacom but I would use a stylus for brushing, etc.).

    Thank you

To my knowledge, a surface screen works only with this computer. You can install on your Surface LR if it's running the full version of Windows and not the version RT. You can then use LR on the Surface and the Surface touchscreen. But I'm not sure it will work exactly like a Wacom.

If you carry your computer in a bag that is made for a 13 "laptop, the small tablet will fit as well. I have done this and found the small tablet to work properly. However, I found a screen 13 inches of being terribly cramped for using Photoshop.
