Long story short, all my desktop icons and pretty much everything else opens under the same program.
I deleted the program that went all other programs and now all the desktop icons are left white and they don't know where to go.
I saw several responses to this before, but none of them were really clear. How can I get my programs to open to their original programs?
Could someone please provide a detailed response, I'm pretty new to this. Thank you.
Hello
It's like as if all your slots target for your shortcut got a little messed up. Here is a list of the simple troubleshooting steps that I suggest.
- When this problem started to happen
- Have you made a change to your system, such as installing the software before that happens?
- Have you tried to delete the shortcut icons and create new ones on the oldest?
- Have you tried to change the target location manually? -To do so, right click on any shortcut icon of the present Office on your computer, locate your target and see if it takes you directly to your location of program if not, go to your local disk, program files and scroll to the program that you want as a shortcut on your desktop. Then go on the address tab and click once. Copy and paste the address into the location your shortcut properties target.
Hope this helps,
Kind regards
Andrew

I have Windows Vista, Dell computer and I ran an update today (October 25) and when I restarted my computer, on top of my desktop icons have disappeared, I can't find them in the control panel to restore. Are they supposed to be extinct? Or I can restore them somehow? I was able to get my Recycle Bin on the desktop, but the music/media, support, etc. icons have disappeared.
Search in the start menu > programs > Dell software > get a Dell Dock.

I'm 7 days in LR to the trial. After creation and 'use' to develop to edit 6 catalogues, I find without changing this or that all catalogs when opening, now have a bright red nail in different areas of the photos in the catalog. Some of the catalogues have been created several days ago and were considered OK, but now this 'red' hue appeared in all the catalogues without any intervention by me.
I don't know why you create several different catalogs. Lightroom is managed much more efficiently using a single catalog. But regardless of this issue, it seems that if you have enabled clipping indicators. Pressing the J button makes the point high and indicators on shadow clipping or out of service. Or you can click on the small square in the upper corners of the histogram. Clicking the square to the left turns clipping shadow power. Clicking the square to the right will turn point highlight clipping power. I leave switched indicators so that I can identify areas that need to be adjusted so that I can eliminate all clipping.

The desktop icons have all disappeared, moved to the taskbar.
My desktop icons have disappeared. I tried to do a right click on the desktop, but nothing happens, no pop - up menu or anything like that. The desktop items have been moved to the taskbar background, so I have access to all my icons, but I'd like to come back to the office. I tried to drag items on the desktop from the taskbar on the desktop, but nothing happens. It's as if the desktop is locked. Time virus scan clean. Windows updated last night, but I don't know if that is related. Any ideas? Thank you.
Restore point:
http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/
Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.
Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.
Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...
Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.
See you soon.

Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App closes without any error in the middle of the installation
Hi all.
I had a few struggles since this morning...
Building 30 GB Photoshop file for a large project and could not open the file or any other PSB I built in the course of 5 weeks - went into the rabbit hole problems...
now, I'm here...
Impossible to install same adobe Creative Cloud Desktop App to start from scratch. The Setup program closes without so much as an error message. The screenshot is just before the time that the installation of adobe disappears. Very annoying. Someone knows something about this problem?
I can give more context for how I got here and all the problems, I fell along the path/steps that my work to correct if nobody's got an immediate response.
I need to get this project finished tomorrow .
FYI, ProDesign tools has updated their website. The new installer, ACCCx3_8_0_310.dmg, can be downloaded here, Adobe CC 2015 Direct Download Links: Creative Cloud 2015 Release | ProDesignTools

The Adobe Desktop installation program will not load the app screen tab, all I see is the loading icon and runs continuously without ever loading. All the other tabs seem to load without any delay, only the app tab does not load. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the software, rebooted a couple of times and tried to activate the download of the Premier Pro via the website, but it still doesn't load in the desktop application.
This solved the problem for me:
Use the CC cleaning tool to resolve installation problems. CC, CS3 - CS6

For example, I have FlashGot installed, but although several entries are controlled to insert in the menus, none is present.
Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions of the origin of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).
- Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.
If this does not work in mode without failure, then disable all extensions and then try to find out who is the cause by allowing both the problem reappears.
- Choose "Disable all add-ons" on issues to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode to set window to disable all extensions.
- Close and restart Firefox after each change through "file > exit ' (Mac: ' Firefox > leave";) Linux: "file > exit ')
If you have many extensions then first turn on half of test extensions that half the problem.
Continue to divide the bad half that still has the question until you find that one is causing it. -
L750 satellite crashes randomly without any warning
It's my first post, sorry if I have something to leave out!
My laptop is about 3 years old now.
Recently, he has been crashing without any kind of warning at random times.
There is not yet any winding down of the sequence; everything stops.
The battery will not even flat, it still has left power when I reboot.I'm pretty sure that this is not a problem with my battery like I had replaced him only months ago.
It could be a problem with my charger, except sometimes it happens when I'm running on the battery.
I'm sorry if it's not good to go, but it doesn't seem to be many clues about why this happens.
If you need more information to help, please ask!Laptop may crash because of different reasons:
(1) system problems
(2) hardware problemsIn case of system problems, the recovery of the laptop could solve the problem
I think that this should be done before you try to fix the notebook using other methods. In the event that recovery does not solve your problem and if the laptop would break even, well, in this case a hardware problem would be possible.
Possible hardware problems could be: memory or the motherboard.
But in general, it could be any part and, therefore, it of always difficult to say what could be the problem more often than the laptop engineer start a hardware diagnostic procedure that would check each part after that its possible to say exactly what's wrong. Also a high internal temperature may affect the functionality of the laptop.
This can happen when the cooling fan and the grills are clogged with dust.I clean my notebook from time to time using a jet of compressed air. This allows to get rid of the dust. You can also use a vacuum cleaner, but should be careful don't empty too hard. This can damage the cooling fan

I tried the clean boot and now the hard drive works simply and screen went black. The mouse still moves around the screen without any outher work keys? That is what it is?
Hello
You will need to reverse the clean boot, as it is either incidental compared to
the real cause of the problem. What, where you try to fix initially using the cleanboot? You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If so you can try the configuration - control panel
The Device Manager - graphics card - Double click on - driver tab - click the driver UPDATE - then
Right click on the device and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.Another method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure) is
CTRL + ALT + DEL and the processes tab find EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS on this subject - and then
on the Applications tab - lower right - new task - type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is reached
by tapping F8 as you start several times.First check this thread in case it is simple and if not to come back to this thread.
