  As far as I can see the printer uses black 140 / 141 color ink cartridges in Africa, which should also include the Morocco.

  I recommend to check this information with the local support center prior to buy ink cartridges:

  Be sure to get two authentic ink cartridges in order to get free technical assistance for this porpuse, then contact local support center to reset the printer to accept the ink cartridges for your current location.

  Be aware that the printer accepts only one form of ink cartridges now on.

  We have recently moved and had a Xfinity router installed. We have set up the wireless printer and it shows a strong connection and the printed report said PASSES on all lines.   I understand that you do not use the black cartridge only. I find the features page and the manual for the PSC 950 but did not find that I was looking for. I would suggest trying to use the printer in mode single cartridge, but I am not sure if the printer supports this feature, that's what I was looking for.

  Try out both cartridges, then put in black only. If this does not work, the only other suggestion I have is to replace the color cartridge.

  The 'regular size black' is a photo, available in regular or XL capacity cartrdige.  The number of actual product will vary depending on the country in which you stand, but you can find the correct information site about HP SureSupply.

  Please check this (an object). Boxes must also show compatible printers. If no box around, just go to BigW, OfficeWorks, HN and check. I don't think that the current printers use these cartridges.

  I saw your post about the problems you are having with your black cartridge and I might have some suggestions that you might try.

  1) are you using genuine HP ink cartridge? HP recommends that you use genuine HP cartridges. HP does not guarantee the quality or reliability of the ink cartridges not HP or full HP ink cartridges. If you don't use a genuine HP ink cartridges, the steps in this post could not solve the problem you experience. We could also see how supplies no HP compared to reloaded cartridges or reconstructed according to the buyers lab report.

  I also see the limited warranty for cartridges HP ink and print heads replaceable by the customer of consumable inkjet HP.

  (2) you mentioned that you had this printer for 3 months - is always the original ink cartridge that came with it? Is is possible that the cartridge is empty, you have tried a new cartridge yet?

  The following information is in this article; Using ink in ink jet printers - it addresses different aspects of using ink with HP printers.  Ink is used in a number of ways throughout the inkjet printing process. In general, ink in a cartridge of ink is used for printing of documents, photographs and these other materials.   There are several circumstances where color ink may be used mainly to improve the print quality and sometimes improve printer reliability, even if the document appears to be just black text-and-graphics. Many printers HP uses chemical interactions to improve the quality and permanence of the black paper text-and-graphics by adding a small amount of color ink in some black areas. A few dark images that have black air may contain a combination of inks, black and color. For photos and images in black and white, a mixture of colors called 'composite black' can be used to achieve the image quality greatly improved and more fluid gray tones that can be accomplished with only black ink. Some inkjet printers use black ink, Pigmented, which is incompatible with a bit of photo inkjet paper. In this case, the dark or black areas are composed of color inks.   I have an Imac running MAC OS X 10.7.5 and a HP Photosmart 5510.

  I can't select a black and white printing other than "regular, fast rough, black and white paper.

  QUESTION: Why are there no "plain paper, best option, black and white"? Or should I ask, where is the ordinary paper, the best black and whitee option?

  Surely each printer must be able to print the last option.

  To satisfy my need for a good level of black and white print that I have to use the color cartridges - it is expensive.

  To print graphics or the text of quality 'Best' the printer uses color ink.  In the case of text, the color ink is printed black to improve the darkness and roughness of the edge.  (Color ink makes printing 'together' more quickly, reducing the purge on the edges).

  For graphics, the printer uses drops color printing black or gray printing mode best because it gives much better graphics.  The color ink droplets are much smaller than the black.  When the color ink is used for printing in grayscale or B & W graphics, the results are much thinner that the result would be in black ink only.

  If the quality does not matter (much) draft mode provides the best economy, but for a better print quality, color ink is necessary.

• Cartridges for Photosmart HP 309 a

  For the purchase of cartridges for the HP 309 has, there is a black cartridge that is very big which is more economical than buying the smaller cartridge.  My question is: you can buy cartridges for printing color or you can buy the "combo pack color."  Here's my question, it would be more economical to purchase the combo pack or should I buy separate color cartridges?  If I buy the combo pack color and needs of a single color replacement what do I do?  Can I still use the color combo pack and just replace the color cartridge to be replaced or do I have to replace the whole color combo pack although only one color needs replacement?

  The black cartridge that comes with the combo pack is the Photo cartridge (the skinny black on the left side).  It is not compatible with the black text cartridge (that right).  You can replace the individual as cartridges they run out.  (Note that the cartridges need not be replaced at the first warning ink, you can continue printing until they show signs of deterioration of printing that can be 2 x or more pages of the first caveat).  See here for more information on the issue of Photo vs Black.  XL cartridges are usually the best value.  See here for some details on the product page for the different cartridge options.
